The deadly silent snowy canyon was shrouded in mystery. An ard helicopter lay motionless on the snow, its wreckage scattered everywhere. The fuselage was ablaze, the rotor blades dug into the snow, emitting an air of desolation, like a hero in twilight. The gray dusk was steeped in slaughter and the scent of blood. The biting cold wind howled, lifting snowflakes into swirling flights; amidst the desolate, bloody night, endless danger lurked.

After taking out one target, Luo Zheng quickly observed the last target through the sniper scope, only to find the enemy retreating, startling him montarily. Realizing their intention to flee, he roared angrily, grabbing his sniper rifle without hesitation and leapt out of the cover, charging forward.

Soon, Luo Zheng spotted the target sprinting wildly along the canyon, resembling a panicked wild beast in the darkness. He halted, crouching to aim, swiftly locking onto the target. Calming his mind, his gun muzzle moved with the enemy's pace, gradually tracking their pattern. After calculating the lead based on shooting conditions, he knew the sniper position, and coldly pulled the trigger.

"Whizz!" The sniper rifle fired again, the boundless killing intent exploding, the terrifying screech threatening to shatter the canyon space, slicing a deadly shockwave that roared forward, crashing brutally into the target's back, throwing them to the ground, tearing out a large splash of flesh and blood—the target lay unmoving.

Luo Zheng keenly observed through the sniper scope that the target had fallen, no longer capable of living, and swiftly packed up his sniper rifle, getting up. He surveyed the terrain, dashing towards the dense woods. The fight had taken considerable ti, alerting the enemy, who would certainly send a large number of pursuers. He must hide before they arrive.

Upon entering the forest, Luo Zheng didn't continue forward, but instead cut down several branches, bundled them into a broom. Then, he charged ahead, using the makeshift broom to drag the snow, covering up his footprints. Considering the enemy could appear at any mont, he dared not linger, sprinting desperately ahead, climbing a slope, continuing his run along it, aiming straight for Snow Bear Base Camp.

After about half an hour, an ard helicopter swooped in, circling above the ridge. Seeing that they hadn't searched above him yet, Luo Zheng contemplated the imminent arrival of pursuers. Not daring to rest, he continued advancing. The helicopter flew further in the opposite direction, clearly unaware of his presence, allowing Luo Zheng to let out a sigh of relief secretly.

After advancing for about an hour, a river appeared ahead, its surface frozen solid. Luo Zheng crossed the river successfully, plunging again into dense woods, proceeding cautiously forward. Another hour later, a cliff appeared ahead, presenting two choices: detour or descend the cliff.

Luo Zheng peeked over; the cliff was steep, rugged with jagged stones, covered in icy snow. Even the non-snow areas were frost-covered, very slick, not conducive for descent. Leaning against a large tree atop the cliff, he breathed heavily. The continuous march had severely depleted his stamina; he had to find a place to rest and recover quickly; otherwise, his body would suffer, complicating matters significantly.

Detouring was certainly feasible, but there might not be a good hiding spot found. The steep cliff was tough to climb, making it likely that pursuers would assu he had detoured, not delving further. Objectively, the cliff base was a good hiding spot, though descending posed challenges.

After pondering, Luo Zheng decided to go down; if unsuccessful, he'd proceed further, avoiding the detour. He turned on his communicator, donned his headset. Once connected, he asked, "It's , who is on watch?"

"It's ." Lan Xing's anxious voice replied, laden with concern. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Quickly pinpoint my location and check for any pursuers nearby." Luo Zheng urged, usually reluctant to activate the communicator to avoid detection by enemy signal scouts, briefly powering it on posed no great risk, as long as it was shut off before the enemy reacted.

"Twenty kiloters away, a large enemy presence is conducting a dragnet search." Lan Xing reported anxiously.

"Twenty kiloters?" Luo Zheng echoed, calculating ti internally. This snowy terrain was challenging to traverse; it would take well over an hour for twenty kiloters, making accurate tracking uncertain. Reassured, he inquired, "Everything okay at ho?"

"All good, just be careful yourself." Lan Xing advised, filled with concern.

"Alright, as long as all's well. I'll contact next ti." Luo Zheng agreed, shutting off the communicator again to avoid signal exposure by the enemy, and then began descending, body almost flushed against the cliff, using both hands and feet cautiously, ensuring firm footing with each move.

This climb was extrely dangerous; a slight mistake could lead to a fall. The wind howled fiercely, making standing unstable, adding difficulty to the climb. Slowly descending, Luo Zheng felt the cliff's stones, slippery and ungraspable, prompting him to draw his Tiger Teeth knife, anchoring it into the icy stone for support.

With about thirty kilograms of equipnt, including a ten-kilogram sniper rifle, a rifle, ammunition, and other gear, Luo Zheng would have discarded these burdens if not critical for survival ahead, as they significantly increased climbing difficulty. Persisting grimly, Luo Zheng moved cautiously downward.

Half an hour later, Luo Zheng finally descended to the middle of the cliff, resting atop a pine tree growing from a fissure, inspecting the surroundings intently. Suddenly, he discovered a naturally ford stone cave, rejoicing and climbing over quickly to inspect. Peeking into the dark interior revealed emptiness amidst irregularity.

Stabilizing his body carefully, Luo Zheng retrieved a flashlight from his backpack, shining it inside the cave. Discovering it was about five to six ters deep, sufficient to accommodate himself, he perked up, hurriedly crawling inside, hands and feet working unconsciously until inside the cave.

Though cold inside, it was much better than outside; no bone-chilling wind or snow existed. Luo Zheng opted to temporarily stay and assess before deciding, dropping his backpack, taking out a water bottle for hydration, resting briefly, before quietly maintaining his weapons upon confirming no enemy presence.

On the battlefield, weapons are a soldier's second life. The harsh climate severely damages weapons, necessitating frequent maintenance to preserve optimal function. Luo Zheng understood these basics clearly; without his firearm, survival in this forest would be impossible.

Suddenly, there were faint noises outside the cave, jolting Luo Zheng into high alert, his entire body tensing severely, hairs standing on end, tiger eyes fixed toward the cave entrance, heart clenching tight once more.
