The icy blade, and the spilling blood left Luo Zheng horrified, breaking out in a cold sweat. This feeling of brushing past Death God fueled Luo Zheng's anger, as he furiously said, "Who are you actually? If you're worth your salt, then co and fight head-on. What kind of man just dithers around? Is it that you think I'm afraid of you?"
"Who are you?" the other coldly queried, eyes splitting with a chilling murderous intent.
Luo Zheng suddenly realized a problem; the opponent spoke Huaxia national dialect, a detail he had overlooked. He quickly said, "This is Arctic Bear Country territory, yet we're speaking the sa language, Huaxia dialect. I'm a Huaxia citizen, what about you?"
"Huaxia Country?" The opponent's murderous aura retreated like a tide, eyeing Luo Zheng with baffled suspicion, asking, "You're Huaxia? So am I Huaxia too? But who am I then?"
Luo Zheng beca confused by this wild man-like fellow; how could you not know who you are? Surely not an idiot? The problem is, among the people he's familiar with, there aren't any idiots. This person seed sowhat familiar, but his appearance had changed significantly, dirty and unkempt, covered in a face full of beard, making it hard to recognize the true appearance. Could he have beco stupid after an injury? But why was his combat power still so strong?
"Speak quickly, who exactly are you?" the other demanded in dissatisfaction, about to make a move again.
"Alright, alright, I yield to you," Luo Zheng realized this person had so issues and decided to take a gamble, revealing identity is taboo, especially on the battlefield. But facing this person with evident problems, common logic couldn't apply. He discreetly took out the pistol strapped to his thigh, if sothing went wrong, he'd rather die than let the enemy go, to prevent leaks, as he quickly said, "I am National Blade, Ghost."
"National Blade? Ghost?" The man tilted his head, looking at Luo Zheng with incredulousness, suddenly clasped his head with both hands, and began to roll on the ground in pain without uttering a word, showing a painful expression, leaving Luo Zheng stunned. What was happening?
Luo Zheng regained his freedom, hurriedly got up, pointed his pistol at the other but felt no urge to shoot, surprised at the figure rolling painfully on the ground. Luckily, there were no enemies around; this guy was tough; despite such pain, he didn't scream out loud, otherwise, it would be troubleso.
After a few minutes, the opponent stopped rolling, looking at Luo Zheng with an excruciatingly pained expression, like a wounded prehistoric fierce beast, with eyes filled with wariness, inquired again, "Why when I hear this na, who are you? And who am I?"
"Let see your combat knife, then I'll know who you are," Luo Zheng's gaze fell on the combat knife tightly gripped by the opponent; the dark blade and sharp edge were clearly a Tiger Teeth combat knife, leaving him delighted. Seeing the other still maintaining high alert, not entirely trusting him, a pang of discomfort filled his heart. He took a few steps back, slowly lowering his pistol, signaling the other not to attack, continuing, "See, I have an identical combat knife; we are comrades. Your na is on the combat knife; you can see it, that's your na."
"My na?" The other glanced at the combat knife in surprise, saying, "Eh, there's really a na, Shadow? Shadow, who is that, is it ? I'm called Shadow? Why can't I rember anything?"
"Shadow? You're Shadow?" Luo Zheng was overjoyed as a warm tear streaked down his tiger eyes, no wonder there was a sense of familiarity. But how did he beco like a wild man? Why was he so dazed? He exclaid joyfully, "Brother Shadow, is it really you? Why did you end up like this?"
"I don't know either; I woke up like this," the other replied in bewildernt, slightly crouched, not letting down his guard due to Luo Zheng's words.
Luo Zheng confird that sothing must have happened to Shadow, or he wouldn't forget himself, yet he still rembered National Blade and his na, what a warrior indeed, forgetting himself but not National Blade, not his brother. Luo Zheng's tiger eyes welled with tears, saying excitedly, "Try to recall, I, Ghost, you, Shadow, Squad Leader of the First Squad, and Ye Laixiang, do you rember?"
"Ye Laixiang? First Squad, I've rembered, who are you? How do you know all this?" The odd man's face changed drastically, glaring at Luo Zheng, questioning intensely, eyes filled with expectation and desire.
"I'm the deputy Squad Leader of the First Squad; we are brothers. Did you forget? It's dangerous here; let's talk sowhere else," Luo Zheng said while vigilantly looking around. As long as the opponent was not hostile, things would be easier. Although abnormal, sitting down for a slow talk, one could always find a reason.
"Follow ," the odd man's expression turned stern, as if he regained his shrewdness, erasing the previous foolish expression, turning and heading forward.
Luo Zheng was astonished, further convinced of his speculation; it was certain Shadow encountered sothing preserving his combat instinct and rembered so National Blade things but forgotten everything about himself. What was going on? Luo Zheng hurriedly followed, picking up branches to cover the terrain traces.
The odd man leading the way climbed up the mountain, movents as swift as a lynx. Luo Zheng followed closely, finding it rather difficult, few could move at such speed in these harsh environnts. Luo Zheng was more convinced it was indeed Shadow; his heart felt bitter, once a mighty warrior now reduced to this state. Those damned Snow Bears, damned enemies, hopefully, he'll recover upon returning.
The two crossed over a mountain ridge, running forward, arriving at a valley unnoticed. Luo Zheng keenly noticed a wolf standing on a slope, warily watching the two, its eyes emitting icy cold light, yet not attacking. Alard, Luo Zheng saw the odd man continuing to run forward as if not seeing the wolf, becoming curious, and followed into the valley.
Along the way, two Wild Wolves ca into view, but upon noticing the approaching odd man, they all evaded, showing panic. This outco left Luo Zheng even more curious, closely chasing after. The more they ventured inward, the more Wild Wolves appeared, but all dispersed in fear.
Not long after, the two arrived in the valley, seeing the odd man quickly climbing the mountain. Luo Zheng raised his head curiously and saw a cave up the mountainside, breaking into a smile. The valley had Wild Wolves, hiding here indeed felt safe; enemies would never imagine it. But why didn't these Wild Wolves attack?
In Luo Zheng's mory, Wild Wolves were vengeful and fierce beasts, never compromising against any adversary. What was happening here? Filled with curiosity, Luo Zheng pursued quickly upstream, full of curiosity and admiration for the pathfinder ahead, capable of thinking of such hiding places.
