On the dark cliff crevice, Luo Zheng and Shadow slowly descended with Snow Fox, relying entirely on the flashlight for illumination. Fortunately, there were many footholds on the cliff face, and after repeating the process several tis, they finally made it down to the bottom without any major mishaps. Both of them were gasping for breath, almost exhausted, and had to sit down and rest anywhere they could find on the ground.

Luo Zheng scanned the surroundings with his flashlight. It was pitch-dark, and even the strong beam couldn't illuminate very far. However, he could see the small river flowing beside them, surrounded by low shrubs and various odd-looking stones. Perhaps due to the lack of sunlight, the plants had a sowhat grayish color, and under the flashlight, they looked rather eerie.

Suddenly, Shadow said, "We can't stay here long. Snow Fox's body can't take it. Follow ."

"Where to?" Luo Zheng asked in surprise, seeing Shadow already standing up, carrying Snow Fox on their back, and walking forward. Luo Zheng quickly picked up the backpack and weapons from the ground and followed with curiosity, noticing Snow Fox's familiarity with the route, which increased his anticipation.

After walking a short distance, they suddenly ca across a cave. Shadow entered without hesitation, and Luo Zheng followed closely behind, discovering that the cave was irregular in shape, with ceilings unseen, requiring only a slight bend to move through the lowest sections. Cold wind flowed through the cave, indicating it was a live cave, with a slightly damp ground. The stalactites and stalagmites reflected a colorful glow when lit by the flashlight, creating a striking sight.

"Huh?" Luo Zheng exclaid in surprise upon discovering the cave's hidden wonders. He followed Shadow further in, where the cave suddenly widened into a large chamber. Various shaped stalagmites stood like humans or beasts, stunningly beautiful, and water dripped continuously from the stalactites.

Even more bizarre was the presence of a warm spring pool in the center of the chamber, with steam emanating from the water surface and flowing into a dark trench. Water dripping from the stalactites fell onto the spring, creating a crisp "dink-donk" sound. In the quiet cave, it sounded exceptionally abrupt, adding vitality to the seemingly dead chamber.

"Quick, take off Snow Fox's clothes completely and throw him into the spring to soak for a while. I've soaked in it and found it very beneficial for the body. I'll go start a fire," Shadow urged urgently.

"Alright." Luo Zheng quickly agreed, rapidly removing Snow Fox's clothes. They were all n, so there was no need for modesty, especially at such life-or-death monts. Luo Zheng quickly undressed Snow Fox and carried him to the spring edge, testing the water temperature and finding it rather hot but suitable for a nearly frozen person.

Luo Zheng placed Snow Fox into the warm spring, supporting his head on a nearby rock to avoid drowning. Once finished, he noticed that Shadow had already lit a bonfire. The flas revealed a pile of dry twigs collected in the cave, likely gathered by Shadow, along with several smoked ga animals, resembling wild rabbits or pheasants. Luo Zheng couldn't help but laugh and said, "You sure know how to live. It's safe living here, and you get to soak in the spring daily."

"I don't know the composition of the spring water, but every soak makes my body feel great, with increased vitality. These smoked wild ats can be eaten after a little grilling. I'll prepare so later, and we'll have to spend the night here," Shadow replied.

"Huh? Could it be that your enhanced strength is related to the spring? I'll soak too," Luo Zheng joked. With nothing else to do, he decided to wash his slly body, quickly undressing and jumping into the spring before Shadow could object.

The steaming water exhilarated his body, instantly dissipating all fatigue. Luo Zheng remained motionless in the warm spring, eyes closed, thoroughly relaxed. Although he didn't sense any mystical power surge, he felt incredibly comfortable, as if his entire body was singing joyfully, his bones felt almost lting.

Luo Zheng quietly lay back, clearing his mind from any thoughts, his body completely relaxed. He gradually forgot where he was, forget about the danger, slowly drifting into sleep. This feeling was quite marvelous, and Shadow seed to have anticipated it. He glanced at the sleeping Luo Zheng, chuckled, and continued roasting the smoked at over the bonfire.

Even after the smoked at was roasted, Luo Zheng remained asleep. Shadow ate so himself, placed another piece over the fire to continue roasting, and then joined Luo Zheng in the warm spring, unbothered by any danger. Having lived here for over a month, Shadow was familiar with the surroundings and closed his eyes comfortably.

In the silent cave, the bonfire drove away so of the darkness. The flas crackled, with the sound of popping wood echoing. Three people lay motionless with closed eyes in the warm spring. Luo Zheng slept peacefully, with a blissful smile gracing his lips. In the dream, Luo Zheng and Lan Xue were holding a grand wedding, with friends and family gathered to offer blessings.

Suddenly, a group of ard terrorists barged in, shooting at everyone they saw. People scread in panic, running frantically. Luo Zheng jerked awake, rising from the warm spring, looking at the dark surroundings where two others were still soaking. mories surged back.

"How did I fall asleep?" Luo Zheng muttered in surprise, breaking out in a cold sweat. Fortunately, there were no enemies or danger; otherwise, things would have been troubleso. His gaze fell upon the diminishing bonfire, and he quickly added so dry wood, dressed, and saw Shadow sleeping peacefully in the spring. Luo Zheng chuckled, knowing that if Shadow dared to sleep with such vigilance, there was likely no threat from wild beasts or snakes.

"But how did I fall asleep? Could there be sothing in the warm spring that induces sleep? However, soaking for a while truly makes the body feel much better. It certainly is peculiar," Luo Zheng pondered suspiciously at the warm spring, dressing carefully and adding more dry wood to the bonfire, flipping the smoked at.

Soon, the smoked at was reheated. Luo Zheng took out a small silver knife for testing, confirming that there was no poison, and began eating assuredly. The silver knife was a gift from Little Lang's father and served as a poison tester. Luo Zheng always carried it, not from distrust of Shadow but to ensure the food hadn't spoiled over ti.

With hot food in his belly, his strength surged. Luo Zheng stretched luxuriously and placed the leftovers aside, adding more dry wood. Suddenly, he heard soone talking in their sleep, "Run, run! Damn, it's a poison gas bomb, hold your breath, attack—"

Startled, Luo Zheng looked closer, realizing it was Snow Fox talking in his sleep, with a pained expression, body curled up, arms flailing, clearly caught in a nightmare. However, Luo Zheng's expression turned serious, deducing so truth about the ambush from Snow Fox's mumbled words: poison gas bomb—the enemy had used poison gas bombs. Regardless of which type, it was a criminal act, a heinous cri, and absolutely forbidden in modern warfare.

"Bastards," Luo Zheng exclaid, with a terrifying aura erupting from him, his gaze sharp as a sword, piercing the cave's darkness like a sparkling star in the frigid night.
