The cabin of the international flight was quiet. Most people were asleep, those who had been reading books or newspapers probably felt tired too, closed their eyes, and turned off their lights. The earlier announcent hadn't seed to affect anyone, as if nothing had happened. Luo Zheng didn't imdiately answer Lan Xue's question, instead cautiously observing the surroundings, listening intently. After a few minutes, once he was certain no one was paying attention to them, he leaned closer to Lan Xue and quietly shared his analysis and guesses, his expression growing more serious.
Upon hearing Luo Zheng's analysis, Lan Xue's expression changed dramatically as well. But being ntally prepared, she didn't react excessively and continued resting with her eyes closed, though inside, waves of anxiety were crashing. She whispered worriedly, "Will my dad be in danger?"
Luo Zheng gestured for her to stay calm and didn't say anything more. Prolonged conversations, no matter how quiet they might be, could attract attention, especially from well-trained agents. Luo Zheng didn't want to take that risk and ended the conversation with Lan Xue.
After a few more minutes, the black man who claid to be a doctor ca from the direction of first class and returned to his seat, showing no signs of suspicion. However, the International Police and Lan Bo didn't co back, which alard Luo Zheng. The concern was growing inside him, but he kept it hidden to avoid worrying Lan Xue.
Ti passed slowly, the surroundings remained quiet. No one seed to notice the International Police and Lan Bo's departure. People continued sleeping or watching in-flight entertainnt. After about half an hour, Lan Bo still hadn't returned, which made Luo Zheng anxious. He was about to get up and check when suddenly he noticed the blonde woman passing by again, heading towards the first class.
"Hm?" Luo Zheng looked at her suspiciously, narrowed his eyes, and suppressed his anxious emotions, choosing to continue waiting.
Soon, the blonde woman entered first class, and after about three minutes, she ca back to her seat, without any noticeable issue. Luo Zheng grew suspicious again and glanced towards first class; it was quiet, as if nothing had occurred at all.
After a few minutes, Luo Zheng couldn't resist his curiosity. He gestured to Lan Xue to stay still and got up, moving towards the first class section. A flight attendant approached to inquire about his needs. Luo Zheng used the excuse of wanting so hot tea to enter first class and took the opportunity to briefly observe his surroundings while the attendant was preparing the tea.
In first class, a dozen or so people sat with their eyes closed, appearing to be resting. An International Police officer also seed to be resting, while Lan Bo was flipping through a newspaper. The other International Police officer was nowhere to be seen, which shocked Luo Zheng. He wondered if that officer was already dead. But such a question was not appropriate to ask; as long as Lan Bo was safe, that was enough. Luo Zheng carefully observed the seemingly resting International Police officer. Shouldn't he be alert instead of appearing asleep?
Realizing sothing was amiss, Luo Zheng's expression changed slightly. Only one officer was present; sothing had surely happened to the other officer. This situation should be on high alert, not resting. At this mont, the flight attendant handed Luo Zheng so hot tea.
Luo Zheng accepted it politely and pointed at the International Police officer, saying to the attendant, "It's a bit cold, and sleeping might cause a chill. Could you please get a blanket?" He said this while looking towards Lan Bo.
Lan Bo, who was turning the pages of the newspaper, heard the voice, turned around in surprise, and saw Luo Zheng blinking. Realizing what was happening, he nodded understandingly. At this point, the attendant agreed and opened the overhead compartnt, took out a blanket, and handed it to Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng took it politely.
Lan Bo pushed the International Police officer next to him and said to the attendant, "Get one for this friend of mine too, cold weather really makes it easy to catch a chill."
The attendant politely agreed, retrieved a blanket, and handed it over. Seeing that the International Police officer didn't react at all, the attendant softly said, "Sir, I'll cover you with this blanket. Be careful not to catch a chill."
Though the blanket was laid over him, the International Police officer didn't react at all. This was completely inconsistent with the expected alertness of an International Police officer. Luo Zheng imdiately realized sothing had happened to this officer. To avoid suspicion, he turned and left. Just as he stepped out of first class, he heard a gasp from behind, but it quickly returned to calm.
Returning to his seat, Luo Zheng gave Lan Xue a reassuring look. Considering there might be more lurking enemies around, Luo Zheng said nothing, closed his eyes, and rested. After about half an hour, the cabin lights brightened, and flight attendants ca out with trolleys, distributing water and snacks. Everything seed calm, as if nothing had happened.
Abnormalities usually indicate sothing unusual, but as long as Lan Bo was fine, it should be okay. Luo Zheng saw flight attendants calmly performing their duties as if nothing was wrong, so he too quietly refilled his hot tea and took so snacks. After the flight attendants left, Luo Zheng looked around and, seeing no one paying attention to him, took out the silver knife given by Little Lang's father to test the food.
The food was fine, and so was the refilled hot tea. Only then did Luo Zheng and Lan Xue feel assured enough to eat. Just after finishing their al, they suddenly heard a commotion from behind. Luo Zheng was startled, seeing everyone else getting up to observe, he quickly stood as well. Looking up, he saw a robust man handcuffing the blonde woman.
Everyone was shocked, watching the scene unfold and started asking questions. The robust man quickly showed his ID, declaring he was the security officer on the plane. There was a security officer on each plane, secretly tasked with protecting the passengers. They only reveal themselves when necessary, blending in with regular passengers otherwise.
Luo Zheng furrowed his brows, watching in disbelief. He hadn't expected the security officer to make a move. This flight was from Sam Country, and so were the crews on the plane. How had they discovered the blonde woman? Could it be that all these crew mbers were secretly arranged by Sam Country?
The thought sent a chill through Luo Zheng as he recalled the earlier events. He had directly interacted with the crew, but thankfully, it involved only requests for hot water and a blanket, which hadn't aroused suspicion. They should still not be exposed, but who could really say for sure?
"Have we been exposed?" Lan Xue asked in a worried whisper.
Luo Zheng shook his head, signaling Lan Xue to sit down, discreetly observing the surrounding people. There didn't seem to be anything suspicious, but professional agents weren't like soldiers. They lacked the distinctive aura of soldiers and excelled in concealing themselves, making it hard to determine. If Hong ihua were here, her abilities would definitely reveal sothing.
