Two International Police officers mysteriously had an accident, and the most suspicious blonde beauty was apprehended by the plane's security personnel. This dramatic turn of events made Luo Zheng realize that there were two hidden forces competing behind the scenes. The people on the plane were just chess pieces. Acting rashly would only expose himself, so he decided to calmly sit back and watch the tigers fight from the mountain top, signaling to Lan Xue not to worry, while quietly observing the crowd around him.
Lan Xue also vaguely guessed sothing but didn't press further. Her heart, however, was in turmoil. With the death of the two International Police officers, Lan Bo's life was threatened, and the future was uncertain. She tightly held Luo Zheng's hand, her mood tense, and her hand slightly trembling.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine," Luo Zheng said in a low voice, while pondering silently. The blonde beauty's two moves had surely attracted soone's attention. These people would report back, and soone contacted the airline, leading the security personnel to apprehend the blonde beauty. In this way, the masters continued to lurk, with no one having revealed their identity.
Thinking of this, Luo Zheng admired the mastermind behind it all — commanding from a thousand miles away, quietly engaging in an invisible battle, where life and death hung in the balance with none of the passengers noticing. Until the apprehension of the blonde beauty, the security personnel revealed their identity and claid the blonde beauty was an internationally wanted criminal, not only eliminating the danger but also winning a round of applause from all the passengers in the cabin.
No one knew about the incident with the two International Police officers, they only knew that the security personnel had captured an international fugitive, neutralizing the threat. Everyone felt safe, chatting and laughing, making the cabin lively again. Soon, an announcent sounded: "Dear passengers, please trust in our capabilities. The plane is absolutely safe, and nothing will happen. Please quiet down to avoid disturbing others' rest. It's late at night, if anyone needs any assistance, please press the call light. We will serve you specially. Thank you."
Everyone smiled with confidence, and the chatter gradually subsided. After a while, the flight attendants brought blankets for those in need. Luo Zheng noticed that the flight attendants were discreetly vigilant, observing everyone around. He quickly signaled Lan Xue to rest against him, covered her with a blanket, and feigned sleep while eavesdropping on the surrounding sounds.
The flight attendants soon soothed everyone, distributing blankets, and the surroundings quieted down, as if nothing had happened. Luo Zheng knew that the hidden battle continued. Since there were two groups on the plane, he had no need to act. With Sam Country's capabilities, protecting Lan Bo should be enough. Besides, Lan Bo knew he was on the plane and understood sothing was wrong. If real danger arose, he would surely rush back to ask for help.
Ti ticked away, the surroundings were silent, and travelers went back to their dreams. Luo Zheng stayed awake, quietly observing, wondering why no one got up. Could it be that both sides had called off their fight? Should he stir things up a bit?
Thinking this, Luo Zheng shook his head, dismissing the thought and waited patiently. After about an hour, Luo Zheng signaled to the resting Lan Xue to wake up, saying he was going to the bathroom. Standing up, Luo Zheng casually glanced at the entire cabin; everyone was asleep in varying postures, with no one appearing suspicious.
Unobtrusively, Luo Zheng proceeded toward the front of the first-class cabin. There was a restroom between the first-class and economy-class cabins, and at the back of the economy class, but Luo Zheng wanted to check on Lan Bo's condition. Upon reaching the center aisle, Luo Zheng peered through the curtain into the first-class cabin. Lan Bo was still calmly reading a newspaper, appearing unruffled. The International Police officer was no longer there, replaced by the security personnel.
"Do you need any help?" A flight attendant approached and asked in a hushed tone.
"Could I have a cup of warm water?" Luo Zheng replied discreetly.
"Sure, please wait a mont." The flight attendant agreed, eyeing Luo Zheng with a hint of suspicion, but then turned to get the water, seemingly finding no issue.
Luo Zheng pushed open the restroom door, finished his business, washed his hands, and used a paper towel to dry them. Tossing the paper towel into the waste bin, he suddenly noticed a tiny syringe inside, causing him to pause. Extracting it, he realized it was indeed a syringe but saw no obvious clues.
At this mont, the flight attendant knocked on the door from outside. Luo Zheng knew he was suspected, so he quickly wiped the syringe with a paper towel to remove his fingerprints, then swiftly threw it back into the waste bin, covering it with previously used paper. He then opened the door intentionally and asked curiously, "What's the matter?"
"Sir, here's the hot water you requested," the flight attendant said politely, but his gaze flicked toward the restroom.
Luo Zheng got the hint and stepped aside to let the attendant see more clearly, dispelling suspicions, accepted the hot water, nodded politely, and returned to his seat. Once seated, Luo Zheng surveyed his surroundings, finding nothing unusual, then whispered to Lan Xue, "Did the flight attendant enter the restroom?"
"Yes, just ca out, left with a sowhat peculiar expression," Lan Xue whispered back.
Luo Zheng's expression changed slightly, realizing that although things seed calm on the plane, turbulence lurked beneath. These flight attendants indeed had issues, his actions had already aroused so suspicions, but there wasn't enough evidence, so they didn't act. Luckily, fingerprints were removed from the syringe; otherwise, he would be in trouble.
"What's up?" Lan Xue quietly inquired again.
"Uncle Lan is fine. Found a syringe in the restroom, likely the murder weapon. Fortunately, I erased the fingerprints," Luo Zheng said in a low voice, secretly relieved, while remaining vigilant and observing the surroundings, on guard internally. Although fingerprints were removed, who knows if other traces were left?
With this in mind, Luo Zheng carefully recollected his actions, confirming he hadn't left any fingerprints. Voice recognition could also reveal identity, uncertain if it was collected, but at least with the hot water handover, nothing was said. Normally, if the flight attendants suspected him, they should prepare a recording while handing the hot water, fortunately, nothing was said.
Stealthy battles with no smoke are risky. Luo Zheng wasn't accustod to this combat style but had to force himself to adapt, silently warning himself to be cautious in all subsequent actions, ensuring no flaws were left for the opponent; otherwise, he could be in trouble.
Lan Xue also sensed the situation had escalated severely, unclear how many enemies lurked around, observing and waiting for her to be exposed. Alard, she noticed Luo Zheng calmly resting with his eyes closed, seemingly uninvolved in the surrounding affairs. Realizing her father was fine, she also closed her eyes and rested, remaining alert internally.
