The flight attendant's words did nothing to soothe the passengers; instead, they stirred up more dissatisfaction. Soone shouted, "You knew there was a problem and still took off, disregarding our safety. I want to sue you, bring your captain here, we demand an explanation."
Luo Zheng calmly observed the scene, vaguely sensing that Sam Country must have known soone would act on the plane, so they planted people among the crowd and replaced half of the flight attendants, ready and waiting for the murderer to strike. However, Luo Zheng couldn't understand why they weren't protecting the International Police.
Suddenly, an idea flashed in Luo Zheng's mind. He realized that these people were from Sam Country, and the International Police were with the United Nations. Now that an incident occurred on the plane, it was under the jurisdiction of the Sam Country Governnt, which ant Sam Country could openly take Lan Bo away.
At this thought, Luo Zheng understood why Sam Country didn't warn the two International Police officers or stopped them from getting blackballed. What a brilliant sche! If they made a move on the plane, they would be running into the trap. There might be many Sam Country personnel hidden among the passengers, closely watching everyone.
Once Lan Bo fell into the hands of the Sam Country Governnt, the situation would beco complicated. Luo Zheng thought of how Sam Country would send soone to assassinate or hijack midway. He hadn't expected Sam Country to use others for assassinations, turning the incident into a dostic affair to openly take Lan Bo away. His expression grew serious. What a clever plot, almost impossible to counter!
"We want an explanation." The surrounding passengers were in an uproar, shouting loudly.
The flight attendant saw the situation getting out of control, frowned, and was about to lose temper. The purser ca over, rubbing their chest. Many people saw the purser get shot before, but now they appeared unscathed, causing the crowd to stop shouting and start murmuring. The purser walked up to them and shouted, "Everyone, please quiet down and listen to ."
The scene gradually quieted down, and the passengers looked at the purser in panic. Luo Zheng stood to the side without speaking, calmly observing the scene and glancing into the first-class cabin. He noticed a flight attendant still comforting people there but didn't see Lan Bo, making him furrow his brows in contemplation.
At this mont, the purser continued, "Ladies and gentlen, hello, I am the purser. Please rest assured, the situation is under our control. I apologize for the fright this has caused anyone, and I ask everyone to return to their seats for safety."
"Do you think you can brush us off with a sentence?" Soone shouted discontentedly.
"What do you want?" The purser looked at the person who spoke and said coldly, "After landing, everyone can choose to stay and sue or claim compensation. Our company will have soone to receive you. There's no use causing trouble now, and we're just an hour from our destination. I hope everyone cooperates and returns to your seat."
The person, blue-faced with anger from the purser's retort, was about to curse when the purser preemptively said, "Ladies and gentlen, you best return to your seats. If soone nearby loses control of their emotions and harms you, I can't ensure your safety. Calm down, and any disputes can be addressed after landing."
The words of both consolation and intimidation caused everyone's faces to change slightly. They retreated one by one and returned to their seats. Luo Zheng looked at the purser with suspicion, not moving himself. When the crowd dispersed, he approached the purser and asked, "Were any of our citizens in first class frightened or in danger? I need to et them."
"You may. Follow ." Seeing it was Luo Zheng, the purser agreed and turned towards the first-class cabin.
Luo Zheng followed and saw a flight attendant bandaging Lan Bo's head. Blood had been flowing from it, causing Luo Zheng to be greatly alard. He stepped forward quickly and exclaid, "Are you okay? What happened?"
"Soone suddenly attacked, but fortunately, I ducked just in ti to avoid a fatal stab. I was slightly injured, but it's not a big deal," Lan Bo quickly responded.
Hearing this, Luo Zheng imdiately turned to the purser coldly and asked, "What's going on here? Please give a reasonable explanation."
"We didn't expect anyone in first class to make an attempt on this gentleman's life. It seems there is more to this matter. The assassin has been taken down on the spot. After landing, we will hand this gentleman over to the relevant governnt departnts to investigate the truth and provide a satisfactory explanation," the purser quickly explained.
Luo Zheng saw that the purser was playing dumb but did not expose them, saying coldly, "That's not necessary. Since you can't ensure the safety of our citizens, we'll handle it ourselves. I'll contact the Embassy, and he will co with . If there's anything you need to discuss, do it there."
"We'll discuss this after landing." The purser's face beca slightly cold, speaking in discontent, choosing not to argue with Luo Zheng over this issue. Once the plane landed in their country, they could handle it however they wanted. The purser didn't take Luo Zheng seriously and didn't want to talk more, coldly stating, "Do you have any other questions? If not, please return to your seat."
"Are you threatening ?" Luo Zheng coldly retorted, his voice a bit loud.
The surrounding staff beca tense seeing this; the flight attendants who had earlier fought the bald man squeezed over, looking at Luo Zheng cautiously and said, "Sir, please follow back to your seat, shall we?"
If Lan Bo falls into the hands of the Sam Country Governnt, rescuing him would beco troubleso. Right now, there was no better way, unless he hijacked the plane to fly back. But with only him and Lan Xue, it was impossible. They were high up, the plane wasn't large, and he didn't know how many Sam Country people were hidden among the crowd. A random shot from one of them, and he'd be dead for sure—what to do?
"Sir?" The flight attendant reminded him with dissatisfaction.
Luo Zheng quickly weighed the pros and cons in his mind, realizing he couldn't make a move. There were Sam Country undercover agents among the passengers and many flight attendants around—he couldn't handle them alone. Even if he took down the flight attendants, the pilots would still be able to quickly seal the cabin and land in Sam Country. Knowing there was only an hour left to the Sam Country capital, hijacking was impossible with insufficient manpower. He could only give up and find another way later.
With no other choice, Luo Zheng glanced at Lan Bo, turned to leave, and returned to his seat. He gave Lan Xue a reassuring look, not daring to ntion Lan Bo's injury to avoid Lan Xue losing control and exposing their real identities, which would make things more complicated.
"What's the situation now?" Lan Xue asked quietly.
Luo Zheng didn't imdiately answer Lan Xue's question but looked around to ensure no one was watching them, then replied in a low voice, "The situation is mostly under control and shouldn't escalate further. However, those who failed here won't give up; I suspect they'll make a move once we disembark."
"What do we do?" Lan Xue asked in surprise, her face full of worry.
