"They'll be taking the sea route, landing at dawn tomorrow, no problem." Lan Xing quickly responded, sending the video to Luo Zheng while seriously reminding him, "Brother-in-law, is my sister alright? She's usually calm like ice, but when it cos to family, she's as impulsive as fire. You need to keep an eye on her. Also, my father is your father; if you don't get him back, I won't forgive you, understand?"
"Don't worry, I've got it under control." Luo Zheng promised.
After hanging up the phone, Luo Zheng noticed a new ssage on his specially modified, highly secure phone, which was protected against eavesdropping. He opened the ssage and saw an image of a convoy of police cars. Suddenly, a motorcycle team charged in, appearing like a racing club team, all decked out in racing suits with helts obscuring their faces.
The racing team roared forward, and two riders suddenly sprang into action, tossing grenades in front of the leading police car, speeding away without a backward glance. The grenades flipped the police car, prompting the third car to quickly slow down. At this point, a racer pulled out a handgun and shot out the police car's tires before speeding off.
Soone stopped next to the third car, fired several shots at the officers inside, pulled Lan Bo out, knocked him out with a chop to the neck, and bundled him onto a motorcycle, then sped away. The actions were slick and well-coordinated, with the bombers, tire shooters, killers, and kidnappers working seamlessly.
Luo Zheng and Lan Xue watched the video three tis, scrutinizing every detail to find clues. After pondering for a while, Luo Zheng called Lan Xing and, once connected, asked, "Where did the culprits disappear?" These people seed highly professional, likely with a retreat plan, making tracking difficult. Luo Zheng didn't hold much hope but couldn't resist asking.
"The culprits entered an underground mall parking lot and then vanished." Lan Xing said angrily.
"Can we track down the racing team?" Luo Zheng pressed.
"We've checked, there was indeed a circuit race today, but the culprits are likely imposters. Following the racing team won't yield any leads." Lan Xing reminded.
Luo Zheng had thought of this too, but couldn't help but confirm. Hearing Lan Xing's words, he said helplessly, "These people are truly professional, leaving no traces. It seems we need a long-term strategy. Keep monitoring the Sam Country Security Bureau's activities and notify imdiately of any anomalies."
"Understood. Any special requirents?" Lan Xing responded.
"Whoever kidnapped him must consider concealnt. The International Police won't be fooled and will certainly investigate once they realize they've been manipulated. Ordinary places can't hide people. The culprits have two possibilities: either taking soone away or hiding them in an unimaginable place. Such places are difficult to track. Keep a close watch on major ports and key exits." Luo Zheng instructed.
"Understood." Lan Xing quickly agreed.
"Ghost, it's ." Hong ihua's voice suddenly sounded, continuing, "A reminder, if it's Sam Country's ruse, the person is likely hidden in their Security Bureau's secret underground prison, a place nobody's been to, making it hard to trace. Alternatively, they could be hidden in a heavily guarded maximum-security prison, equally hard to trace. If another country did it, they would indeed be evacuated imdiately, so monitoring ports and key routes is correct but only half the chance."
"Understood, we'll start by monitoring the ports and key routes. Until we're certain of the other party's identity, we can only do the basics." Luo Zheng said helplessly.
"Understood. The ambassador's other secret identity is the chief intelligence officer for the National Security in Sam Country, overseeing a comprehensive intelligence network. They've already instructed to support you strongly. You can rest assured; I've worked with him several tis. He's an old spy, very experienced." Hong ihua explained.
"Understood." Luo Zheng replied, then hung up the phone. He looked at his watch and said to Lan Xue, "It's getting late; let's wash up, have dinner, get a good night's sleep, and adjust the ti difference. We'll talk about anything else tomorrow, alright?"
"Mm." Lan Xue saw that it was almost dinner ti and agreed.
Luo Zheng took his luggage to the next room. After both had a shower and changed into clean clothes, the ambassador's assistant invited them to dinner. They followed him to the embassy's internal dining room and saw the ambassador in a private room. Given Luo Zheng and Lan Xue's special status, no others were invited to join them.
The ambassador was very hospitable, arranging a lavish dinner. After a few drinks, they grew quite familiar with each other, and the conversation deepened. Suddenly shifting the topic, Luo Zheng said, "Ambassador, we've identified the culprits. They blended in with today's motorcycle racing team. Is it possible to contact the race committee?"
"Motorcycle racing team?" The ambassador's face slightly changed, pondered for a while, then continued, "A very clever plan. Contacting them is not a problem. I'll arrange for intelligence personnel to approach the racing team secretly and see if they can gather any information."
Luo Zheng, aware of the ambassador's other identity through Hong ihua, wasn't surprised by the ambassador's confidence. He thought for a mont and continued, "These people must have a contingency plan. It's best not to send our own people to avoid drawing attention. Also, keep a close watch on the Sam Country Security Bureau to see if there's anything unusual. I suspect the person is held there."
"Understood." The ambassador responded gravely, hesitatingly looking at Luo Zheng.
Luo Zheng paused and realized what was ant, saying, "Ambassador, we'll be working closely from now on. Without trust and transparency, cooperation will be very troubleso. Ask anything, and I'll tell you what I can."
"Thank you. My orders are to support you unconditionally. Knowing more of the truth makes cooperation much easier. My first question is, how did you know it was the racing team? Just ten minutes ago, I'd sent soone to inquire, yet no information has co in, and Sam Country has publicly stated it's the work of terrorists, the usual story, saying their satellite wasn't in the area at the ti, so there was no surveillance. How do you know?"
"We've been monitoring the convoy." Luo Zheng thought for a mont and said, handing the video to the ambassador, who watched and contemplated with a serious expression.
"What did you think of?" Lan Xue, noticing an odd expression on Luo Zheng's face, couldn't help but ask.
"Why would Sam Country say their satellite wasn't in the area then? Is it a cover-up or true?" Luo Zheng murmured, his face serious, his eyes glinting with shrewdness.
"Are you suggesting these are Sam Country's excuses? That the real culprits are Sam Country?" Lan Xue looked at Luo Zheng in astonishnt, pressing for answers. Seeing Luo Zheng's thoughtful silence, she didn't press further and pondered quietly.
"It's not impossible, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions." The ambassador suddenly interjected.
