The hotel room was quiet. Luo Zheng and Lan Xue quietly watched out the window, lost in thought. After a while, Little Ma ca over, followed by a waiter pushing a food cart. The waiter placed the food in the room and then left with the cart. Luo Zheng habitually used a silver knife to test the food. After ensuring there was no poison, he ate with peace of mind.
While eating, Luo Zheng was constantly thinking, perfecting his plan. Lan Xue knew Luo Zheng's habits and didn't disturb him. Little Ma was full of curiosity but held back from asking questions. Once they were full, Little Ma asked the waiter to clear the dishes and poured a cup of hot tea for the two of them before finding a place to sit and wait, watching Luo Zheng curiously, unable to figure out Luo Zheng's background to the extent that even the ambassador cooperated eagerly, and puzzled over what thod Luo Zheng would use for the rescue.
After a while, Luo Zheng suddenly raised his sharp eyes and asked Little Ma, "Is there any way to get a helicopter? Ard ones are best, but civilian will do."
"A helicopter?" Little Ma was taken aback and began to ponder, unable to understand why Luo Zheng needed a helicopter. Could he be planning an aerial extraction? That was absolutely impossible, but he adhered to discipline, refraining from asking questions. After thinking for a mont, he replied, "I'll have to make a call to check. It's not easy to get one." He said this while pulling out his phone.
"It's not easy, so please confirm quickly." Luo Zheng replied casually, picking up pen and paper to start drawing.
Lan Xue leaned over to look and saw only lines of varying lengths and orientations, completely unintelligible, accompanied by so figures. Full of curiosity, but she refrained from asking, fearing she would disrupt Luo Zheng's train of thought, harboring an inexplicable anticipation. She said to Little Ma, "Make that call quickly."
Little Ma agreed and dialed a number. Upon connecting, he said, "Ambassador, they need a helicopter, ard or civilian."
After listening to the call for a while, Little Ma hung up excitedly and said to Luo Zheng, "Got it, a civilian one."
"Where?" Luo Zheng asked, surprised and delighted.
"About fifty kiloters from here, there's a farm with two civilian helicopters, usually used for spraying pesticides or seeding, carrying two people each. They're easy to acquire. There's a news helicopter in a city a hundred kiloters away, but it might not be available as it's always on standby. Ard helicopters are only in the neighboring city's anti-terrorist forces, but they're hard to get." Little Ma quickly explained.
"Civilian helicopters? Two-person? Two of them?" Luo Zheng murmured to himself, deep in thought. Suddenly, he raised his brows decisively and said, "Let's go with that. How's the farm's security?"
"There's no real security, just a few workers." Little Ma explained.
"Write down the exact address for ." Luo Zheng said with delight, nodding.
Little Ma hesitated for a mont, then wrote down the address and handed it to Luo Zheng. After a mont's thought, he couldn't resist asking, "It's clear you're acting without . Why am I not allowed to participate?"
"You're an intelligence officer, not a combatant. Your value and role aren't on the front line." Luo Zheng saw that Little Ma couldn't hold back and asked seriously.
Little Ma gratefully said, "My master was transported to the Dark Prison by the special train. I've been helpless, unable to do anything. This is a rare opportunity, even if just to fire a few shots with you; it would make feel better. I need this chance. I hope you can grant it to . I won't drag you down; in case of the worst, I'll choose suicide. I understand the rules."
"No, your motives aren't right. Besides, you've already done a lot assisting our preparation work in place of your master, and it's not necessary to be on the frontline for revenge." Luo Zheng firmly replied, stating that bringing revenge emotions to a battlefield was absolutely unacceptable.
"But?" Little Ma tried to plead further.
"No buts. We'll take care of your revenge for you. You're an intelligence officer; your battlefield is not here, but in a position where you can have a greater impact. Understood?" Luo Zheng interrupted Little Ma seriously, saying, "Here's the deal, accompany my n to the farm to familiarize yourselves with the route and then return imdiately. I suspect Sam Country is already watching you; you need an alibi. Got it?"
Little Ma understood Luo Zheng's consideration for him. He nodded heavily and said reluctantly, "Understood. Oh, by the way, your people are already on their way and will definitely arrive by tomorrow night. Is there anything else I can do?"
"What's your master's na?" Luo Zheng asked after thinking.
"Hummingbird! I can't share the real na." Little Ma replied seriously.
Luo Zheng nodded noncommittally and said, "Go scout downstairs. Report any suspicious situations imdiately. I'm not sure if we're under surveillance, so it's better to be cautious."
"Okay." Little Ma knew Luo Zheng was trying to keep him busy and didn't mind. He agreed and left.
After Little Ma left, Luo Zheng continued drawing on the paper. Lan Xue didn't disturb him, patiently waiting. After a while, Luo Zheng suddenly smiled, put down the pencil, and let out a long breath, saying, "I finally have so clues. Can you help evaluate if it's feasible?"
"Great, tell ." Lan Xue said delightedly.
"Hold on, there are a few issues that need verification first." Luo Zheng gestured for Lan Xue to calm down, then took out his phone and dialed a number. Once connected, he said, "Lan Xing, locate my position imdiately and find the nearest train tracks."
"Understood, hold on." Lan Xing's voice ca through the phone.
After a while, Lan Xing said, "Location locked, tracks found. What's next?"
"The tracks connect one end to a military fortress, the other to a high-speed rail line. Calculate the distance, and at a speed of eighty kiloters per hour, how long does it take from the high-speed rail connection to the fortress?"
"No problem, hold on." Lan Xing readily agreed and quickly added, "At a constant speed, around five minutes to enter the fortress."
"Got it. How long from the two high voltage pylons on either side of the tracks to the fortress, again at eighty kiloters per hour?" Luo Zheng continued to ask.
"Two minutes should be enough." Lan Xing quickly provided the answer.
"Can you surveil the inside of the military fortress?" Luo Zheng pondered and asked.
Lan Xing didn't respond imdiately. Luo Zheng knew Lan Xing was mobilizing satellite reconnaissance, so he patiently waited for about two minutes before Lan Xing's voice ca through the phone again, "The fortress periter is desolate terrain, the interior is not visible. The top is flat, with canopies in all directions and soldiers, likely a heavy machine gun position. The satellite cannot penetrate it, so it's uncertain."
"Understood." Luo Zheng replied, cutting off the call and sinking into thought, continuously refining his plan. The rooftop was likely a heavy machine gun position and couldn't be approached by people unless they wanted to die. His gaze gradually beca resolute, with a faint killing intent surging within.
