"Boom——" The pitch-black night sky suddenly burst with a clap of thunder, a spiderweb-like lightning exploded across the horizon, illuminating the dark night sky, pale and glaring, intimidating. Soon, this flash was swallowed again by the night, the thunder subsided, and the world returned to silence, as if nothing had happened. Not long after, another clap of thunder echoed from the sky, as if trying to shatter the entire sky.

After a while, another bolt of lightning exploded across the horizon, crackling loudly, countless electric sparks danced like fiery snakes in the void, illuminating the dark night sky, terrifying in appearance. Following that, torrential rain poured down from the sky, battering the prival forest, making the trees rustle loudly.

In the vast dense forest, many people were hastily repairing trenches in a gorge. Everyone was startled by the sudden torrential rain, pausing to look at the sky with grave expressions. Among the group, Luo Zheng also frowned as he looked skyward; such a fierce thunderstorm was not a good sign, being outdoors risked lightning strikes, and tal could conduct electricity – what to do?

"Boom——!" Another massive thunderclap sounded, as if the entire space was vibrating, shocking everyone. They all looked towards Luo Zheng and Hook. This kind of adverse weather was unsuitable for combat, much less for outdoor operations. Retreat or stay? Everyone perked up, waiting for orders.

In the face of nature, humanity seems so small. Hook looked at Luo Zheng and thoughtfully asked, "What should we do?"

"Tell everyone to put down all their weapons to avoid electrical conduction," Luo Zheng sternly reminded.

"Okay." Seeing that Luo Zheng hadn't made a decision yet, Hook refrained from urging and promptly gave orders to the troops.

"This kind of adverse weather is not suitable for combat," Lan Xue reminded from the side.

"I know." Luo Zheng continued to ponder, his sharp gaze fixed on the horizon, when suddenly, a huge lightning bolt exploded in the sky. Countless flas darted wildly across the night sky, like serpents dancing, quickly forming a massive spiderweb that illuminated Luo Zheng's determined face, but this lightning net was soon devoured by the night.

At that mont, an idea sparked in Luo Zheng's mind. He glanced at his watch; there were still three hours until dawn. Imdiately, he shouted, "All officers, co to the eting; Mountain Eagle, return to your team quickly."

"Yes." The officers received the ssage through their headsets and quickly agreed, rushing towards Luo Zheng's position.

In no ti, everyone gathered, curious looks cast towards Luo Zheng, unclear of his intentions. Luo Zheng noticed Mountain Eagle was absent, guessing he was still on the way, and waited for a while. Before long, Mountain Eagle hurried back, and everyone gathered around Luo Zheng, curiosity in their eyes.

Luo Zheng scanned everyone, then looked at Hook and said in a low voice, "This thunderstorm weather is unsuitable for combat. It's disadvantageous for us and equally for the enemy, making it an excellent opportunity for a surprise attack?"

"A surprise attack?" Hook looked at Luo Zheng in surprise, completely baffled. This adverse weather made hiding a priority, so how could they launch a surprise attack? The others were also curious, looking at Luo Zheng.

"Weapons conduct electricity; the enemy won't dare to be outside, nor use weapons to retaliate. Cold weapons beco the best choice instead. Hook, don't you have bows and arrows? Deploy your guard regint to switch to bows and arrows for a surprise attack, catching the enemy off guard. Are you willing to take the risk?" Luo Zheng asked seriously.

"No problem, why not?" Hook responded nonchalantly.

"Good, pull in all other tribal ard forces that ca to aid, like Samba and the others. All use bows and arrows; this is their familiar combat style, well-suited for this rainy night. The enemy's hot weapons won't be effective, and cold weapon night combat in the dense forest puts you at an advantage. Use your advantages to attack the enemy's weaknesses—chances of success are great," Luo Zheng explained.

"Makes sense; I'll arrange it imdiately." Hook, delighted upon hearing this, agreed wholeheartedly.

"Yes, the surprise attack units should operate in small groups, attacking from all directions, hitting then retreating. If the enemy doesn't pursue, attack again. Rember, coat all arrows with Golden Soup Poison, and keep fighting until the thunderstorm stops. This rain might last for several hours, so there's enough ti. Prepare more arrows, go now." Luo Zheng commanded fiercely, his sharp gaze fixed upon the night sky. Just then, a bolt of lightning exploded on the horizon, illuminating Luo Zheng's war-ready face. His confidence invigorated everyone's spirits.

"Understood." Hook responded excitedly, called over a radio operator, and quickly relayed orders to his troops using the single soldier radio for deploynt.

"What about us?" Lan Xue asked in surprise beside him.

"We'll stay here and rest. The troops here are also exhausted and need rest. Once the thunder ceases, continue digging trenches. Make the trenches two ters deep for air defense, and dig more Hidden Soldier Caves. I suspect the enemy won't easily give up," Luo Zheng said gravely, loudly instructing, "Everyone, rest up as well. With such a heavy rain, the enemy won't attack. Conserve your energy; I have a feeling there might be a major battle tomorrow."

"Yes." Everyone stood up and agreed.

The troops quickly tucked themselves into the Hidden Soldier Caves within the trenches to shelter from the rain. Once Hook had made arrangents, Luo Zheng joined him in a trench, squatted in a cave to avoid the rain, observing the rainwater steadily accumulating in the trench, falling into a solemn contemplation. Lightning made work inconvenient; it could cause electrocution—waiting it out seed the only option. Hopefully, the thunder would not go on for too long.

Everyone listened to the sound of torrential rain, thunder, and lightning constantly echoing in the wilderness, chatted and joked. The rainwater kept rising, but there was no way to drain it, so they soaked in the rainwater and waited. About two hours later, the single soldier radio suddenly went off; soone was seeking Hook. After listening for a while, Hook looked at Luo Zheng and said, "The guard regint and other tribal forces have reached the enemy's vicinity, should we attack?"

"Attack." Luo Zheng gave the order without hesitation; the opportunity was too good to pass up.

"Understood." Hook quickly responded, relaying the order. Regarding any decision or arrangent Luo Zheng made, Hook had long since stopped questioning or doubting, as countless tis the facts had proven them right.

After issuing the attack order, everyone patiently waited. No one knew what the battle's outco would be; it depended on the troops' performance and overall combat capability. Luo Zheng pondered, checked his watch, noting about an hour left until dawn, and uneasily said to Hook, "Send observers over, they shouldn't engage in battle, but closely monitor the combat dynamics and report continuously."

"No problem." Hook agreed, imdiately called a few people over with single soldier radios, who braved the rain as they departed.

The water in the trenches was already knee-deep; staying would be detrintal to their health. Luo Zheng had no choice but to order everyone to climb out, looking more deeply thoughtful in the unceasing thunderstorm, letting the rain hit his face and body. With such harsh weather, how would the enemy respond, and what should he do?
