The night was deep, and the moon had hidden behind the clouds at so point. The earth was pitch black, yet at the edge of the primitive forest, a certain military base was illuminated everywhere, filled with patrol personnel. Inside the camp, shadows moved, presenting a busy scene. At this mont, a helicopter appeared above the base and quickly descended.

A military officer jumped out of the helicopter, his face somber, emitting a cold aura that made people instinctively fearful. It was none other than Jackson. Many officers ca forward to greet him, their expressions grave as they looked at Jackson, not daring to speak. Jackson swept a cold glance over the crowd and said coldly, "To the eting room." With that, he strode toward a large tent, and the others followed closely behind.

Not long after, everyone sat around the conference table inside the tent, their expressions solemn as they looked at Jackson seated at the head. Jackson swept his chilly gaze across the room, speaking grimly, "It's only been a day since I left, yet such a major incident occurred. Who can tell why?"

Everyone remained silent. The regint commander sighed inwardly, forced to diate, he said with a wry smile, "Commander, we underestimated the enemy's resolve. All deploynts went according to plan, but unexpectedly, during the day soone attacked a critical hill of ours. In anger, the defending troops launched an attack, resulting in heavy losses, forcing the troops to initiate an overnight offensive. We were about to overco the enemy's line when a swarm of missiles appeared; the enemy seized the opportunity to counterattack, forcing our troops to retreat to their defensive line."

"Damn it, where's the officer who launched the attack? Arrest him and send him to a military court." Jackson bellowed, his face livid, casting an even harsher look around. That such a situation had occurred in the troops was intolerable. Jackson continued to shout coldly, "If you can't constrain your troops, what's going on with you all?"

Everyone's expressions turned uneasy. The Chief of Staff helplessly explained, "Commander, that officer has already fallen in battle. Here's what happened: the officer responsible for defending the hill was his younger brother, which led to a grievous error in anger. The imdiate priority is to address the issues that have been exposed."

"Fallen in battle? That's too lenient. What issues are there?" Jackson discontentedly demanded.

"The southern attack is unsuccessful; the enemy's other forces haven't moved. If they suddenly attack from the east at this mont, it would likely be difficult to overco, unless reinforcents or air support are increased," the Chief of Staff hurriedly said.

Jackson, familiar with military matters, imdiately understood the problem upon hearing this. After frowning in thought for a mont, he said, "I understand the situation. During my attendance at the high-level military eting in the host nation, two issues were determined: first, the host nation will dispatch ten thousand troops to participate; second, our fighter jets cannot fly over surrounding countries to reach here, but the host nation's can, and they've agreed to provide fire support."

"That's great! With fighter jets, we can take down the enemy in just three days," the Chief of Staff said excitedly, his eyes filled with fighting spirit, confidently continuing, "How many fighter jets can the host nation provide for support, and how is the timing arranged?"

"Three fighter jets are on standby at any ti. If needed, they can reach the battlefield within ten minutes. The specific utilization requires the staff departnt to co up with a detailed plan," Jackson coldly agreed, his piercing gaze sweeping over the crowd, proceeding to say sternly, "The southern line attack is unsuccessful due to disobedience in command, causing significant forces losses and necessitating a premature offensive. I hope there will be no recurrence of such incidents in the future."

"Yes." Everyone promptly agreed.

"The staff departnt should imdiately formulate a plan, reinforce the southern line with two thousand troops, departing overnight. Suspend the attack for now, and resu fighting after dawn tomorrow. It's imperative to draw all enemy main forces and focus to the southern line to create opportunities for an eastern sneak attack. If necessary, fighter jets can be used to assist southern troops," Jackson coldly ordered.

"Yes." The Chief of Staff promptly agreed.

"The eastern line originally consisted of two thousand troops, now it seems insufficient. Increase by another thousand, and attack in three directions simultaneously, with one thousand troops per route, launching the attack at noon tomorrow to catch the enemy off guard. If possible, I hope the eastern troops can directly handle all enemies. The northern forces remain unchanged; they must infiltrate secretly. If the southeastern routes still cannot resolve the issue, the northern troops will launch an attack at dusk, preparing for night battle," Jackson coldly instructed.

"Yes." Everyone responded in unison, no one daring to question Jackson's decisive rulings. Consecutive failures left everyone's reputation damaged, compelling them to comply.

"eting dismissed." Jackson coldly said, glancing at the regint commander, who nodded knowingly and stayed back.

Once everyone had risen to leave, the commander ca outside, gestured for the guards to stay alert ten ters away, prohibiting anyone from approaching before returning to sit beside Jackson, asking with curiosity, "Old friend, anything up?"

"Hmm, this operation may not directly take down all enemies, but it can severely damage them. The key lies in your northern sneak attack; the southeastern routes might be ineffective. After this battle, I'll recomnd you for Deputy Commander. Old friend, show your true capabilities," Jackson earnestly said.

"Yes, thank you, Commander." The commander said joyfully, promptly.

"Don't thank , it's what you deserve. The final strike is crucial; it depends on your n," Jackson said.

"Rest assured, I guarantee to accomplish the task." The commander promptly vowed.

"After this battle, your troops will be stationed at Hook Tribe," Jackson seriously instructed.

"This?" The commander looked at Jackson in surprise, curiously pursuing, "Special deploynt?"

"Hmm." Jackson nodded and said, glancing outside, lowering his voice to continue, "Near Hook Tribe there's a large area of rare tal deposits. This is the true reason for our country's war initiation, but it's top secret. Your task is to guard the valley, construct defensive fortifications, and hold that area for . I'll inform you later on further actions. Any questions?"

"None." Not being foolish, the commander quickly thought of many things, promptly agreeing, looking at Jackson with more gratitude, softly saying, "Old friend, thank you for sharing this top secret with and assigning this crucial task. I'll rember this favor deeply, planning to repay you in the future."

"Hmm, accomplishing the mission is most important, as for others, discuss later. I won't stress the significance of this mission, the opportunity is before you, whether you seize it or not is up to you. My ti here will not be lengthy; once the issue is fully resolved, I'll be reassigned elsewhere. You may well beco the highest authority here, a chance for career advancent has arrived," Jackson earnestly instructed.

"Thank you very much." The commander said sincerely, silently firming his resolve to complete the mission whatever the cost.
