In the room, a strong-looking young man was sitting on a large chair, legs up on the desk, playing with a small knife, trimming his nails. His head slightly raised, he watched the door with an impassive expression, his face calm, revealing nothing of his thoughts. He wore a leather jacket, exuding a sense of grace and elegance, quite impressive.
"Please, both of you have a seat. This isn't my place, so I won't be entertaining you," said the young man.
Luo Zheng walked in without hesitation. Legs on the desk made it difficult to move, a detail that suggested the other party was showing goodwill. He sat on the sofa near the door, discreetly observing his opposite, Shi Feng also sat down, quietly observing the other party without a word.
The young man's gaze swept over Luo Zheng and Shi Feng, and the composed expression gradually turned grave. He hadn't expected the two to be so calm. Raising his eyebrows slightly, he slowly said, "Visiting at such a late hour, don't you want to say sothing?"
"Interesting, kid, do you know how much trouble you've caused?" Shi Feng said coldly.
"That's not what I want to hear. You disappoint ," the young man said calmly. His gaze shifted to Luo Zheng, continuing nonchalantly, "And you? If it's the sa boring talk, forget it."
"You?" Shi Feng was enraged, about to explode.
Beside him, Luo Zheng grabbed Shi Feng's arm, calmly laughing, "Why argue with a man about to die?"
Shi Feng snorted coldly, sitting still. The young man laughed faintly and said, "That sounds a bit like trying to gain attention, but I like it. At least it piqued my interest, so go on."
"Alright, let's make it clear for you." Luo Zheng smiled slightly, saying, "First, you're between a rock and a hard place because you've hacked sothing from certain people or refused to deliver sothing as agreed. Second, you wanted to et that fisherman, to confirm their identity, otherwise, you wouldn't be here to see us, which also ans you'll be captured. Given this, you want to et us first to determine your next step."
"This is getting interesting." The young man smiled, but his expression beca gradually more serious.
"Your disguise is quite clever. If I'm not mistaken, you were next to us at the airport, disguised as an elderly gentleman, wearing traditional Chinese clothes, giving off a sage-like aura, reading an old book. Fitting your disguised identity, wearing reading glasses and leaning on a walking stick, right?" Luo Zheng said calmly, "To fool us, you're not simple."
"Is it him?" Shi Feng's face changed dramatically, scrutinizing the other once again.
"To see through my disguise, you are not simple either." The young man's face subtly changed, moving his legs down and looking at Luo Zheng with a serious expression, eyes unblinking, as though trying to read Luo Zheng's mind. Luo Zheng smiled lightly, giving nothing away, making the young man's intense scrutiny ineffective, making him eventually smile wryly, "You're not police; there's a strong bloody aura about you. To walk with a police chief, you're not an assassin, not a rcenary; there's only one possibility, you're military, and not just any soldier?"
"Hahaha!" Luo Zheng appreciated the other's judgnt, laughing, "Just realized? It's a bit late, but that doesn't matter, can we get to the main topic now?"
"Depends on whether you two are qualified to talk with ." The young man laughed, putting away his dismissive attitude.
"You're discussing qualifications with ?" Shi Feng was furious, "A thief talking qualifications with a police chief? Intolerable!" he said coldly, "Do you think you can still escape tonight?"
"You'll know if I can escape after trying. Your temper is too impatient, not suitable for collaboration." The young man glanced at Shi Feng indifferently, then fixed his gaze on Luo Zheng, continuing, "As for you, I am quite interested, but do you have the capability?"
Luo Zheng stopped the almost raging Shi Feng, smiling faintly, "It seems your ss isn't simple; you don't need to know if you're qualified. The issue is, do you still think you have the choice? I'm afraid the streets are swamped with people looking for you, hiding here is smart, no one would think to find you in the principal's office, but how long can you hide? If you leave, you'll face endless pursuit, right?"
"So I have no choice then?" The young man looked at Luo Zheng seriously and said.
"No, you have a choice; at least you can choose to cooperate with us." Luo Zheng laughed.
"How can I trust you?" The young man pursued further, unknowingly led by Luo Zheng.
"You don't need to trust us, nor do you have a choice; if you don't cooperate, what can you do?" Luo Zheng said seriously, looking at the other party, "Don't forget, we may not cooperate with you. Confidence is good, but overconfidence becos arrogance, eting us here ans you've arranged an escape route, right?"
"Do you think just the two of you can capture ?" A hint of arrogance flashed in the young man's eyes.
"Want to try?" Luo Zheng laughed.
"If you catch , I'll listen to you," the young man said seriously, slowly standing up.
"You're looking to die." Shi Feng roared with anger, lunging forward like a fierce tiger, rapid and powerful.
The young man did not look at Shi Feng but looked warily at the slowly rising Luo Zheng. He raised his hand, tossing a cloud of white powder towards Shi Feng's eyes. Shi Feng was startled, quickly placing his hands in front. The young man suddenly moved, slamming into Shi Feng, pushing him aside, and darted towards the door.
Luo Zheng was ready, taking a swift step to block the doorway, reached out a strong hand, grabbing at the young man like a tiger's claw, seemingly with a sound of tearing through the air, fast as lightning, nearly imperceptible to the naked eye, understanding the opponent was not simple, he exerted all his strength from the start.
The young man hadn't expected Luo Zheng's speed, crouching down and kicking off with force, lunging forward like an arrow. Luo Zheng grabbed the young man's back, feeling a powerful twisting force sweep over, his hand empty as the opponent slipped under his armpit, darting to the door, using one hand to grip the hallway railing, leaping down.
It should be noted, the floor they were on was the fifth, a drop of over ten ters, an average person wouldn't dare jump, yet the opponent showed no hesitation, evidently having calculated this beforehand. Luo Zheng's eyebrows knitted, turning to chase without hesitation, leaping down in pursuit.
Landing, Luo Zheng rolled to absorb the impact, not even fully up before seeing the young man bolting for the main door. Luo Zheng, now fired up, propelled his body forward like an arrow from a string, closing the gap swiftly within a few paces. Spotting a stone on the ground, Luo Zheng swung up a leg mid-run, kicking the stone, aiming at the young man's rear knees.
