In the deathly silent snowfield, the sun hung high, the ground a stark white, and the cold wind whipped up snowflakes that danced all around, frigid enough to shatter one's spirit. It was truly a bizarre and icy world devoid of life, human presence, and hope. Luo Zheng coldly maneuvered his sniper rifle, peering through the scope with ticulous care at his surroundings, not missing a single detail, ntally stunned. The unidentified ard individuals hidden within the snow layers had not erged for half a day, a show of willpower that was astonishing — they were masters.

Luo Zheng stomped his feet, twisted his body that was on the verge of freezing solid, and swung his head from side to side to stay alert. He confronted the enemy hidden in the distant snow layers. Compared to them, his hardships were far less, thanks to the jagged rocks around him that blocked the wind. Moreover, being on his feet allowed him to move occasionally and avoid a breakdown. His scope showed nothing but the vast expanse of snow.

"I've heard that the Arctic Bear Country has a Mysterious Army known as the Snow Bear Special Combat Team — brutal, cunning, indifferent, fond of slaughter, and experts of snow warfare. Could it be them we've encountered?" Shan Hu said with so concern.

"The Snow Bear Special Combat Team?" Luo Zheng's expression tightened. After joining the National Blade Special Combat Team, Luo Zheng knew very well that every nation had its mysterious units, different from the regular special forces. It was normal for Arctic Bear Country to have such a unit. If Shan Hu was right, then they were indeed in trouble.

"Fortunately, we're hiding separately. The enemy can't figure out the reality, and as long as we don't shoot rashly and continue this standoff, whoever's reinforcents arrive first will win." Shan Hu whispered as a reminder. As an elite of the Special Forces, Shan Hu had gone through many battles, possessing ample experience and knowledge.

"Then let's keep them in a standoff." Luo Zheng wasn't entirely confident in the combat skills of Zhou Gang and the others. A standoff was undoubtedly the best tactical choice. After Shan Hu communicated this new tactical deploynt to the others through his headset, Luo Zheng continued, "Direction eleven o'clock, distance five hundred ters, reconnaissance by fire."

"Understood." Shan Hu agreed and began firing violently at the area five hundred ters away in the direction of eleven o'clock. Bullets joyously made their way into the snow.

Luo Zheng observed the area through his sniper scope. It was silent, without any counterattack, but Luo Zheng vividly rembered there were people in this area. He moved his muzzle around, searched, and ultimately stopped on a slightly elevated mound of snow. At first glance, the mound looked like it could conceal stones or dirt, but Luo Zheng didn't feel assured and began to analyze it closely.

Be it stones or dirt, they were irregular. Luo Zheng increased the magnification of his sniper scope, bringing the target closer. He saw the mound was indeed entirely made of snow, without any suspicious signs. Yet, Luo Zheng rembered there were people in this region originally, and these elevated mounds of snow had not been there before — this was illogical. Operating under the principle of erring on the side of action rather than inaction, Luo Zheng imdiately locked onto the mound and struck swiftly.

"Whiz, whiz, whiz!" Three bullets whistled away.

"Whiz!" A bullet struck the edge of a stone ahead, startling Luo Zheng greatly. Without ti to assess his shot, he quickly withdrew to take cover; his position was now exposed. Had it not been for the irregular wind speed affecting it, that shot might have cost him his life. The fact that the enemy fired without any visible hostile intent showed they were a master.

"You alright?" Shan Hu called from not far away.

"I'm fine, they're masters; be careful," Luo Zheng yelled back.

"Got it, but I shouldn't have too much trouble. They know you're here, they won't strike at without taking you down first, otherwise they'd be exposing themselves." Shan Hu responded, his expression growing more cautious. He glanced at Luo Zheng, who was staying active and changing his sniper position, and heard the distant sound of sniper rifles, indicating his comrades were firing. He simply changed his shooting position as well, and called out, "What's the situation?"

After listening for a while, Shan Hu explained to Luo Zheng, who was full of confusion not far away, "It's Gangzi, clashing with the enemy that has flanked us. They're in a standoff." As he spoke, another sniper rifle sounded from another side, its noise obscured by the wind and snow, barely distinguishable.

Shan Hu stared intently and listened to the sounds from the earphone, then explained to Luo Zheng, "It's kicked off on the other side too. It seems like they don't have a sniper. They're hiding and not moving."

"Since both sides are locked in a standoff, let's break through from the front, continue with fire reconnaissance," Luo Zheng whispered urgently, searching again. The snow pile he saw earlier was gone, the ground clean, with no trace of whether it hit. Nothing suspicious could be seen in the entire visible front, just a vast expanse of whiteness.

"Hiss?" Luo Zheng's face was as cold as iron, his eyes brimming with combativeness. He quickly moved his gun to search for the target. In such cold weather, Luo Zheng didn't believe they could last much longer, a long duration would surely force them to erge. His only worry was that they could use the layer of snow for cover, closing in to shorten the attack distance.

With that thought, Luo Zheng imdiately pivoted his gun's muzzle, expanding his search range to about four hundred ters where he noticed a snow heap on the flat snowfield. The heap was not large; amidst the pristine snow, no human figure could be seen. It was oddly out of place; all nearby heaps were flattened by the wind, and this solitary lump was highly irregular. Luo Zheng imdiately aid at the snow heap and fired without hesitation.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" Three bullets lined up and whistled toward the snow heap, carrying Luo Zheng's doubts and probe, disappearing from view in an instant. Through the sniper scope, Luo Zheng clearly saw one of the bullets hit the snow heap, causing it to stand upright, revealing a figure.

"What strong camouflage." Luo Zheng was surprised to see this suddenly exposed figure, who was bent over, rapidly retreating backward. Luo Zheng scoffed coldly, aid his rifle, and was about to shoot, when suddenly he felt a chill sweep over him, filled with a biting killing intent. Luo Zheng was startled and realized soone had him in their sights; he hurriedly retreated.

"Bang!" The bullet brushed past the edge of a rock and struck another, sending sparks flying. Luo Zheng looked at the marks shattered on the rock, startled by the precision of the shot.

"Boom!" A huge explosion rang out, startling Luo Zheng again. He shifted his sniping position, cautiously peeking out to see a body lying on the snowfield ahead, the flat snow layer blown apart. Shocked, he suddenly rembered that he had asked ng Zhu to lay mines, and could not help but shout, "ng Zhu, was it your trap?"

"It should be, I rember putting mines there," ng Zhu yelled from not far away.

"Good job, driving the target into the trap. I'll cover you. Be careful, they have a skilled sniper. Shoot once and imdiately change your sniping position," Luo Zheng yelled, his killing intent soaring into the sky. No matter who the enemy was, the mont a shot was fired, there was no turning back—they must settle life and death.

"Understood," ng Zhu quickly replied.

"Brother Shan Hu, have the brothers be careful, the enemy has a skilled sniper," Luo Zheng warned, his killing intent intense as he swiftly searched for targets through the sniper scope.
