Fifty kiloters might not seem far, but trekking through snow can drive a person to despair; you might not cover that distance even in a day. Luo Zheng knew all too well that while the seemingly endless ice-bound mountains could easily hide a person, there was no escaping the surveillance of the satellites above. With such a significant incident having occurred, Huaxia Country's satellites would be monitoring this area, and the Arctic Bear Country's satellites would definitely be monitoring as well. Escaping the pursuit was impossible. In a short ti, the enemy would catch on. All he could do was run as far as possible before the enemy caught up.

Having killed several of the enemy, Luo Zheng was certain they would seek revenge and catch up soon. After a brief exchange with Captain Wu over the phone, he stowed his device and hastened his pace. Ten minutes later, Luo Zheng reached a slope, and through his earpiece, he contacted his teammates. Learning they were not far ahead, he told them not to wait and to continue retreating south.

Though the others didn't know what had happened, they trusted Luo Zheng implicitly and sprinted south without hesitation. Another ten minutes passed, and Luo Zheng spotted footprints on the ground. He followed the tracks at full speed, crossed another slope, and saw several black shadows darting forward on the snowfield ahead; it was Shan Hu and the others.

In this life-or-death flight, Luo Zheng didn't ask the others to wait; they all stretched their legs and charged forward. Amid the snowstorm, they resembled hungry wolves, their gazes determined and strong, waists bent, each step leaving deep impressions in the snow. Fortunately, the snow surrounding him was only shin-deep, so walking wasn't too strenuous. Having waded through thigh-deep snow before, Luo Zheng hardly regarded this as a challenge and ran forward with all his might.

Because of Shan Hu's injury, the Ghost Team's speed wasn't fast. After half an hour, Luo Zheng caught up and anxiously looked back. The vast snowfield was obscured by swirling snowflakes, and visibility was limited, but Luo Zheng felt that the enemy was closing in. His expression grave, he shouted, "Zhou Gang, give your gear and carry Brother Shan Hu on your back."

"Yes," Zhou Gang replied, dropping his backpack on the ground, slinging his weapon around his neck, and squatting down. Shan Hu hesitated; it was embarrassing for an elite special soldier to be carried, and it could be humiliating if word got out. But seeing Luo Zheng's stern and formidable expression, he hesitated no longer and climbed onto Zhou Gang's back.

"Forced march for fifty kiloters, heading due south. The enemy is right behind us, pursuing us; we cannot stop at any cost. We're up against the Arctic Bear Country's Snow Bear Special Forces, their most powerful special forces team. Therefore, we must reach the forest fifty kiloters away ahead of them and join our forces waiting to rendezvous. Move quickly," Luo Zheng commanded coldly, his voice relayed to everyone through their earpieces.

Everyone's expression tightened. With the formidable Snow Bear Special Forces pursuing them from behind and reinforcents ahead, there was no need for motivation; they all knew what choice to make. At Luo Zheng's command, everyone involuntarily picked up speed, sprinting headlong into the blizzard.

As they ran, Luo Zheng saw that Zhou Gang was falling behind rapidly. He dropped his equipnt, took over carrying Shan Hu, and continued the mad dash forward without daring to stop for even a mont. Zhou Gang quickly picked up the equipnt and followed. During the run, Shan Hu spoke in a low voice filled with remorse, "Ghost brother, it's my fault that I've held everyone back."

"Stop talking nonsense. We're all brothers who've been through life and death together; no one's holding anyone back. Shut up," Luo Zheng scolded irritably. As he spoke, the cold wind poured into his body, causing a terribly uncomfortable sensation.

Shan Hu also knew that speaking in such terrible weather would consu physical strength and could easily cause internal injuries due to the cold air, so he didn't say more. His gaze toward the front was filled with guilt and gratitude. Running alone in the snowstorm was already extrely difficult, let alone with a person on his back. Even Luo Zheng, with his exceptional constitution and the family's Breathing Skill that endowed him with prolonged endurance, could not bear it for long.

ng Zhu ca over to take over, and Luo Zheng didn't hesitate. After handing Shan Hu to ng Zhu, he said through the headset, "Brothers, take turns in relay. Ensure that our marching speed does not decrease. Everyone must hold on. We must reach the rendezvous point before the enemy. If we want to stay alive, we can only fight for it."

Half an hour went by, and everyone's speed had slowed sowhat, but all clenched their teeth and persisted, their complexions grim as iron, their gazes determinedly running forward. Everyone understood in their hearts that they absolutely could not let the pursuers catch up; otherwise, it would be very troubleso. Just now there was a hillside for cover, granting them a terrain advantage to block the enemy's attack. But now, surrounded by a vast snowfield, there was no advantageous terrain to use. The best way to stay alive was to run wildly.

An hour later, everyone's pace had slowed down again. The difficulty of running against the wind and snow was too great. The only consolation was that the snow layer on the ground had beco thinner, reducing the resistance underfoot, and the wind had also died down a lot. This allowed a collective sigh of relief and the continuation of a steady advance, with thirst being quenched by grabbing handfuls of snow to lt in the mouth.

Another two hours later, Luo Zheng saw that everyone was on the verge of exhaustion, and quickly signaled for them to slow down and eat so compressed biscuits to fill their bellies—for both restoration of strength and continued progress. After a steady jog for about half an hour, at Luo Zheng's command, the team accelerated again into a rapid march, and in the span of half an hour, everyone's physical strength had sowhat recovered.

Gradually, as the sky darkened, Luo Zheng looked around with so concern. Seeing a vast expanse all around, he had no choice but to pull out his phone to contact Captain Wu, confirming whether they were heading in the right direction. The phone belonged to an Arctic Bear Country Special Agent. Doing this could also result in being monitored by the Arctic Bear, but he had no ti to worry about that; the phone was the only tool to communicate with the outside world at the mont. With pursuers behind, using the phone would not help evade the chase.

With the direction confird to be correct and more than thirty kiloters still to go, Luo Zheng heaved a sigh of relief. He ordered the team to slow down a bit and keep moving while regaining strength. They couldn't let exhaustion take them before the enemy did. In this icy world, where even breathing could be frozen, the heat generated from running collided with the snow, enveloping the entire person in a visually discernable mist. This mist froze on the helts, forming sharp icicles, as hard and piercing as bullets. Even the eyebrows seed to be frozen, the face rigid. They had to constantly rub snowflakes to prevent their faces from freezing.

Another two hours passed, and everyone continued to press forward with their difficult jog. Luo Zheng occasionally looked back to stay alert for any sudden ergence of the enemy. Thankfully, the journey had been smooth. Seeing the mbers of Ghost Team struggling to walk, their complexions beca grave, and he truly worried that soone would not be able to endure and would collapse.

Another hour passed, and Luo Zheng, seeing everyone's physical strength severely depleted and barely holding on, gestured for everyone to move forward at a brisk walk. With enemies chasing behind, who could pounce like hungry wolves at any mont, they couldn't afford to stop. About half an hour later, Luo Zheng always felt there was sothing off behind them. After thinking it over, he signaled for everyone to continue at a brisk pace while he stayed back to cover the rear.
