Now reading: Chapter 302 302: So That's How It Is from Strongest Soldier King, a Action novel by Jungle Wolf.

"What's the rush, kid? Listen to first," Captain Wu said discontentedly, "We received news ten minutes ago. Given the horrendous terror incident caused by the Wolf King of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group in our country, which had a very bad impact, our country has made a request to the United Nations. The objective for this competition is set to be the Wolf King. Do you understand now?"

"I understand, but Lan Xue is in danger now, and the competition is three months away," Luo Zheng asked.

"Aren't you supposed to be a smart guy?" Captain Wu laughed and scolded, "The competition is in three months. Naturally, we can't spook the quarry now. I've just made contact with Lan Xue; they're rushing back. You'll undergo three months of training. The teams participating from each country are all top-level Special Warfare Teams. Your team is not the strongest at the base, so sending you has worried. You must undergo targeted training for three months."

"No problem, I guarantee the mission will be completed," Luo Zheng understood completely upon hearing this. As long as Lan Xue was all right, he didn't care about the mission. A soldier's duty was to carry out missions, and Luo Zheng was indifferent, promptly agreeing to the task.

"You prepare first. As soon as they arrive, training starts. Do you have any personal thoughts on the training?" Captain Wu asked with a satisfied smile.

"Where is the Wolf King hiding?" Luo Zheng countered. To co up with a targeted training plan, one must know the enemy, right? As a Hunter, Luo Zheng was very clear about one thing: if you want to hunt, you must know the habits, characteristics, and attack thods of your prey. Only then can you effectively counter them.

Seeing that Luo Zheng realized this, Captain Wu smiled contentedly, feeling more confident about the competition. After pondering it, he said, "Ask Lan Xue about the specifics when he gets back. He's in charge and knows a lot about it. I can tell you one thing in advance: as one of the top ten in the world, the strength of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group is absolutely stronger than you think. They have bases in every continent. The base you guys eliminated last ti was only the Asian Region base. There are also bases in Africa, Europe, and Arica—four major bases with nurous mbers that are not easy to deal with. But their headquarters are in Africa."

"Their headquarters are in Africa? Isn't that a place with many deserts and grasslands?" Luo Zheng said in surprise. He didn't care about how many bases the Wild Wolf rcenary Group had; all he wanted was to take down the Wolf King. The best way to do that was to strike directly at their headquarters and flush out the Wolf King. Therefore, paying attention to the African situation was imperative.

"Exactly," Captain Wu nodded, his eyes filled with scrutiny.

"This is really a headache. I'm good at jungles, and snowfields are manageable, but I'm not familiar with deserts and grasslands. It looks like we'll have to focus on training for desert and grassland survival," Luo Zheng said helplessly.

"Good. Since you've realized this, it will be easier to handle. My plan is to conduct basic skills strengthening training for the first two months. You'll work on physical fitness, close combat, and shooting yourself. For equipnt, driving, languages, information technology and familiarization with the combat techniques of other countries' Special Forces, I'll arrange for soone to train you. The last month will be for desert and grassland survival training. Any questions?" Captain Wu asked.

After so thought, Luo Zheng said earnestly, "No problem. Rest assured, I won't rest until the Wolf King is taken down this ti."

"Very well, you may go now. Bring a detailed report of the past few days' events by tomorrow evening. Oh, and Lan Xue and his team will arrive the day after tomorrow," Captain Wu issued the order to dismiss.

Luo Zheng stood up and after saluting, he left and went outside. A chilling wind blew past; there were people training desperately on the training field. Luo Zheng glanced over and fell into deep thought. This mission was extrely challenging. The headquarters of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group would definitely be heavily guarded and powerful. Just dealing with the Wolf King was headache-inducing enough, let alone having to constantly be on guard against attacks from other national teams competing. Those were the top Special Forces from countries around the world, after all.

However, the thought of having the chance to face off against the world's top Special Forces fired up the blood in Luo Zheng's veins. To fight against the most formidable was to have no regrets, even in death. With this thought, Luo Zheng's gaze fird and he headed toward the dormitories. Looking at the familiar sleeping quarters, his brothers weren't there and it was empty, yet there was still a warm feeling that surged in his heart. Those who faced death ti and again outside longed for the peace of ho. Luo Zheng knew clearly that the National Blade Special Combat Team was his second ho.

"Hey, bro, you in there?" Soone knocked on the door from outside. It was Snow Fox and the Drunkard, the elite Soldier Kings from the base.

"The two elder brothers are here, please, take a seat." Luo Zheng busied himself pouring water for everyone. His eyes lit up when he saw the Drunkard pull out a bottle of alcohol, and he imdiately reached for it. When his view suddenly blurred, he knew the Drunkard was dodging, and he quickly used a skillful takedown move to aim at the Drunkard's wrist pulse.

The Drunkard's face changed color. If hit, his arm would numb and the alcohol would be taken or would drop. Unless he loosened his grip to counterattack, but still, the alcohol would be taken. Since they were not fighting for life and death, he straightforwardly handed the bottle over to Luo Zheng's hand. Luo Zheng smoothly took it and said cheerfully, "Big bro, why be so polite, even bringing alcohol?"

"You've beco increasingly ruthless in your ways, there's a sense of 'do or die' about you. It seems that the past few days' experiences have benefited you quite a bit," said the Drunkard with admiration, his expression suddenly turning severe as he faked an intense scolding, "But we're brothers; did you really have to go after like that?"

"Couldn't help it, good liquor moves the soul," replied Luo Zheng nonchalantly, smiling. After spending so much ti together, Luo Zheng knew the Drunkard wasn't petty. He turned to Snow Fox and joked, "Old bro, showing up empty-handed is not very generous, is it?"

"Damn it, I'm flat broke. Everything I need for living is provided by the base. What gifts are you expecting from ?" Snow Fox retorted with a laugh while he picked up a glass and pushed it towards Luo Zheng, signaling for a taste of the alcohol.

In response, Luo Zheng certainly didn't refuse and poured three full glasses. He set the bottle aside and laughed, "Thank you for the fine drink, Drunkard big bro. Here's to you."

"Using my own alcohol to toast . That's quite the sche you've co up with, you're learning so bad habits," the Drunkard chided in jest, yet he picked up the glass and downed it in one gulp. Such high-proof dicinal alcohol could only be so boldly consud by the Drunkard. Snow Fox, seeing Luo Zheng also slowly finishing his drink, gave an awkward smile and sipped a little.

"Having no tolerance for liquor is one thing, but having no courage for it makes drinking with you the dullest. Co on, little bro, fill it up again," the Drunkard said discontentedly to Snow Fox.

Luo Zheng just laughed and refilled the Drunkard's glass as well as his own, let out a belch, and felt a warm current flow through his whole body, making him comfortably warm. He couldn't help but think internally, "Indeed a fine drink. That glass probably flushed out the last of the cold and dampness in ."

"Who says I don't have the courage?" objected Snow Fox from the side. All of them being Elite Soldier Kings, they'd often competed covertly and no one would easily admit defeat. Snow Fox picked up his glass, guzzled it all down in one go, and then showed off the empty glass, "Lack courage, ? What's this?" As he spoke, his eyes grew hazy and his body swayed. He then collapsed onto the iron bed beside and promptly fell asleep.
