Luo Zheng signaled his n, and seeing others approach, he went to et them. Soon, a heavily bearded and robust man ran up, saluted, and said earnestly, "Thank you for your assistance. I am Batsu, the team leader from Ba Country. May our two nations' friendship last forever, and may the bond between our brothers endure."
"Don't ntion it. We are friendly nations, and it is only right to help each other." Luo Zheng almost laughed at the other's words, holding back a smile while returning the salute, and then he noticed that the man's arm was bleeding. He couldn't help but be stunned and asked, "Are you alright?"
"It's not a big deal, just a bite." Batsu said nonchalantly, his expression sowhat forlorn and his mood downcast, his eyes filled with anger, wanting to speak but hesitating.
"What's the matter? We are brotherly nations. If there's any way we can help, we definitely will. Just tell us." Luo Zheng sharply sensed sothing was amiss and asked gently.
Batsu looked upset. At that mont, Ghost Hand ran over and explained in their national language, "We have one dead, one severely injured, and two lightly injured. What should we do next?"
"Clean up the battlefield imdiately and prepare to retreat. I reckon Wolf King's n will co soon. Sa old rules—bring as much water and food as possible, and take so grenades if we can." Luo Zheng replied, looking at Batsu. He switched to the international common language and continued, "I extend my deepest sympathies for your situation. What are your plans now?"
"We have suffered heavy losses. Just being able to leave this prairie alive would be fortunate. I have no more hopes for the competition, but we must take revenge. If you don't mind, let's join forces. All we want is revenge; the rits can go to you. How about it?" Batsu looked at Luo Zheng with a hopeful gaze filled with expectation.
On the battlefield, the enemies ca not only from Wolf King's n but also from other teams. For survival, Batsu made the rational choice to align with others. Luo Zheng understood and gave a wry smile before saying, "Don't talk like that. The enemy kills scored here will be yours. Clean up the battlefield quickly; we must leave imdiately."
"What?" Batsu looked at Luo Zheng in surprise, seeing that he wasn't joking, he couldn't help but smile with gratitude. His look of respect toward Luo Zheng grew, and he imdiately turned back to inform his n to prepare for evacuation, while calling the headquarters on his phone to confirm the kill count.
Five minutes later, everyone was ready. Batsu buried his teammates, others bandaged up, collected so supplies and equipnt, and followed Luo Zheng and his n to quickly leave the battlefield. The team marched rapidly for half an hour and stopped to rest on the leeward side of a hillside.
Luo Zheng had exchanged dozens of enemy kills for the trust of Ba Country's people, and everyone admired his thods without complaint. Lan Xue was also full of admiration for Luo Zheng's tactics. After stopping, she asked in their national language in a soft voice, "Their injured are not fit for rapid marching; they need to rest for a night. What do you think?"
"Hmm," Luo Zheng responded noncommittally, pulled out a map, turned on the tactical flashlight, and observed for a while before putting it away. He walked over to Batsu and whispered, "Captain Batsu, can your n handle it? This isn't a safe area. There is a range of hills about an hour's journey ahead. We need to make camp there. "Don't worry, I guarantee my n won't hold us back." Batsu said understandingly.
"Good, drink so water, rest for three minutes, then we move." Luo Zheng said with a smile.
After a three-minute rest, the team pressed on, with Mountain Eagle scouting ahead, Snow Leopard covering the rear, and Batsu's n looking after the middle. Batsu felt grateful and at the sa ti ashad; a strong man has his pride, and being looked after was sowhat humiliating.
Half an hour later, Mountain Eagle returned with a serious expression and said quietly, "There's a group of about thirty people ahead with unclear intentions. They don't seem to be targeting us."
"What?" Luo Zheng was surprised and said softly, "No matter what they are waiting for, let's go and take a look." He conveyed the intelligence to Batsu in international common language. On hearing about enemies, Batsu's eyes glead with eagerness, wanting nothing more than to rush over and fight, to avenge his fallen comrades.
The group carefully spread out a little and slowly closed in. They saw a team lying in ambush. Everything was a murky grey in the distance. Luo Zheng raised his sniper scope to observe and saw no one, which made him start to question. Suddenly, he heard a wild animal's roar, and he quickly shifted his sniper scope to search in that direction.
Before long, Luo Zheng spotted an animal resembling both a dog and a wolf, incredibly robust, sitting on the ground with its mouth open, drooling. Its ghostly blue eyes were cold and terrifying under the moonlight. He was taken aback and said, "This is bad, it's a Jackal. They're using Jackals to search for targets."
"No wonder, I didn't see any racers up ahead. What are these people doing here? So it's Jackals. It looks like there must be a team ahead, just concealed well. These people are definitely waiting for reinforcents. Do we attack or not?" Lan Xue said quietly, her cold gaze flickering in the night with a battle-ready chill.
Luo Zheng glanced at Batsu but decided not to reveal Wolf King's secret of commanding wolves. After pondering for a bit, he said softly, "Captain Batsu, there must be a team ahead. These people are probably waiting for reinforcent. If we strike now, we can take them out; they are outnumbered and no match for us. How about it?"
"No problem. I couldn't ask for more." Batsu longed for Luo Zheng to issue the attack order, ready to vent his rage and seek vengeance for his brothers.
"Thank you for your trust, but your n are wounded and not suited to close combat. Stay here and cover us. We'll move in stealthily; silent combat is best as their forces are scattered, which makes it easier for us. If possible, avoid gunfire, okay?" Luo Zheng said earnestly.
Batsu understood Luo Zheng's kindness and did not insist, nodding gratefully. He gestured to his comrades to prepare, and Luo Zheng turned to his team and said, "Use knives. Only resort to silent pistols if necessary. Make as little noise as possible and silently take out the enemies ahead. Then inform the team ahead to retreat into the hills together. "No problem," the group casually responded and got ready for combat, knife in one hand and gun in the other.
"Move out," Luo Zheng said softly, and everyone crouched and tiptoed quickly forward. In the moonlight, they resembled ghosts, silently nearing their target. Luo Zheng gripped his military knife tightly and pounced on a target, the dark blade emitting a chilling intent under the moonlight.
