On the fifth morning, everyone returned to the competition camp, where Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard were rushed for ergency treatnt, while the others stayed in their tents and slept soundly. After the battle, once their nerves had relaxed, they slept very deeply, not waking up until the next day. They found that Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard were also there, their wounds had been properly treated, and the problems were not serious. After everyone freshened up, delicious and aromatic food was delivered, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

With bellies full and thirst quenched, the staff invited everyone to a press interview, ntioning a news conference and award ceremony they wanted everyone to attend. Nobody was interested in such an affair. After so thought, Lan Xue decided to let everyone else continue resting in the tent and went alone. The staff found this difficult, but upon Lan Xue angrily dismissing them, she didn't attend either.

The competition results had already been determined, with no worry of any changes. Hundreds had participated, but not many had survived; those remaining had voluntarily given up, and the only ones who persisted until the end were from Huaxia Country. What exactly happened on the battlefield was the subject of much speculation, but with Lan Xue and the others not attending the press conference, the truth remained unknown.

Before long, a swarm of journalists descended, clamoring to know the truth, demanding that everyone co out for interviews. Lan Xue, who already disliked such events, looked particularly displeased. Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle were even less inclined to move. Annoyed, Lan Xue said, "These damn flies are so annoying. Let's pack up, I'll contact our country and arrange our return as soon as possible."

"Okay, you make the call. I'll go get rid of these pests," said Luo Zheng, seeing Lan Xue's irritation and feeling compassion for her. Seeing no objection from Lan Xue, he grabbed his Type 95 assault rifle, stord outside, and bellowed, "What's all the noise? Keep it up and I'll mow you down!" His voice bood like thunder, intimidating the crowd at the door.

"Excuse , warrior, I'm a journalist from Sam Country. Please tell the truth about what happened at the competition. People have the right to know the truth," said a blonde, blue-eyed woman with an unhappy expression.

"Dadadada!" Luo Zheng didn't hesitate and began firing at the feet of the journalists, the bullets angrily roaring into the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Ah?" The journalists scread in fright, retreating in panic, their faces pale as they stared at Luo Zheng.

Looking furious, Luo Zheng yelled, "I've just co down from the battlefield and I'm suffering from post-traumatic stress; I need peace and quiet. Anyone who keeps making noise had better watch out, in case I lose control and my gun goes off." As he spoke, his chilling gaze swept over the crowd, sharp and lethal, sending shivers down their spines.

Everyone took a couple of steps back, the chill at their necks hardening into cold sweat. What a heavy aura of killing intent. They exchanged looks, and then their gaze fell back onto Luo Zheng. The blonde, blue-eyed woman, with a dark, unwilling expression, said, "Please don't make excuses. Just answer my question."

"Who do you think you are, to demand answers from ?" Luo Zheng mockingly barked back, aiming the dark muzzle of his gun at her, exuding an ominous breath of death. He continued coldly, "You want to know the truth? The truth is your Sam Country's team kept attacking other teams and injured two of my brothers. They ended up ambushed by the Wild Wolf rcenary Group, with none surviving."

"Impossible! Our team from Sam Country acts honorably, with formidable strength. They would not stoop to ambushing other teams, and surely couldn't be taken down by so re rcenaries. You're slandering us!" The blonde, blue-eyed female journalist angrily retorted, her complexion turning ugly.

"Slander? Laughable. Have you even been on a battlefield?" Luo Zheng retorted icily. The truth belonged to the victors—Luo Zheng was experiencing the true essence of this phrase for the first ti. Seeing that she wanted to say more, he waved his hand dismissively and ordered, "Scatter, all of you! If anyone continues this racket, and I accidentally hurt soone in my uncontrollable state, don't co crying to ."

Turning on his heel, Luo Zheng went back into the tent, leaving a bunch of journalists looking at each other, but none daring to challenge his words. They stopped their loud clamor and began to retreat.

Inside the tent, Ghost Hand gave a thumbs-up and laughed, "Boss, that was aweso. Seeing how skillfully you handle journalists, you should deal with this sort of thing from now on."

"Forget it, let's leave it to the professionals. But as you probably noticed, these journalists were stirred up by soone looking for dirt. Once we're back at camp, we don't go out, don't say anything, ignore the organizing committee, and keep the truth to ourselves. Soone's getting impatient," Luo Zheng hastily added.

"Forget about them, we have no obligation to tell them the truth," Lan Xue said coldly.

Soon after, the Huaxia Country liaison officer ca over, greeted everyone with a warm smile, and announced that the helicopter was ready, and we could leave the base now. Hearing this, everyone laughed, quickly gathered their gear, stood up, and made their way to the helipad to board the already running helicopter.

After continuously switching modes of transportation, three days later, we took a charter flight back to Beijing in Huaxia Country. To everyone's surprise, Captain Wu ca to pick us up himself, accompanied by Ghost Hand and Wu Miao. We hurriedly lined up and saluted, and Captain Wu solemnly returned the salute, his face full of eagerness.

The airport was not the place for pleasantries; we boarded a minibus, with Ghost Hand himself driving. As the minibus left the airport and got on the highway, Captain Wu excitedly said, "Brothers, you did an excellent job on the mission. You've made proud, and you've made our country proud. On behalf of the team and myself, I thank you."

"Pfft, how about sothing tangible?" Luo Zheng said with a laugh.

"Eh? What exactly do you want, you rascal?" Captain Wu asked, not minding the comnt and responding cheerfully.

"A feast. I'm so sick of bland food, and also, to sleep for three days straight," Luo Zheng said.

Captain Wu was taken aback, his eyes reddening with emotion. He was deeply moved. The troops had returned from risking their lives and had such humble requests. This made Captain Wu feel both proud and guilty. Without hesitation, he said, "The feast is already arranged. I'll host a welco dinner for you. Three days? What's that? You guys stay in Beijing and rest well for seven days."

"Long live Captain Wu!" everyone shouted excitedly. At last, we could completely relax for seven days.

"Captain Wu, they have their hos in Beijing, but I have nowhere to stay and no money in my pocket. You wouldn't let sleep on the streets, would you?" Luo Zheng asked sowhat embarrassedly.

"The best hotel in Beijing. You don't have to worry about a thing. It's on ," Captain Wu promised readily.

"Bro, what about your allowance?" Ghost Hand asked curiously.

"Uh..." Luo Zheng beca even more embarrassed.

Lan Xue had looked into Luo Zheng's background; she was perhaps the person who knew him best. Seeing Luo Zheng in a difficult position, she explained, "His family is poor; he sent the bank card for his allowance back ho, and his entire allowance went to his family."

"Ah? You should've said that earlier. We still have seven days, so why don't we visit your family?" Ghost Hand said with a smile, giving Luo Zheng a look, signaling him to look at Lan Xue. Lan Xue, quick to pick up on the subtlety, imdiately understood Ghost Hand's intention, her face turning red with embarrassnt as she looked down.
