In the Valley Training Team's sniper training field, Luo Zheng calmly aid at the target and continued his shooting practice. Three boxes of ammunition had already been emptied, and the fourth was nearly finished as well—each box contained a hundred rounds. After three hours of shooting practice, Luo Zheng had fired nearly four hundred bullets unconsciously. The powerful recoil caused his shoulders to ache, and his eyes began to swell, making the targets appear sowhat illusory.

The wind had picked up considerably, causing the bullets to drift and beco even more unstable. Dust swirled through the air before quickly vanishing from sight. Luo Zheng squinted for a mont, giving his dry eyes so relief, then once more peered into the sniping range. With the harsh sun overhead and ground temperatures reaching around thirty degrees, his body was soaked through, large beads of sweat clinging to his brow and obstructing his vision, and signs of dehydration were beginning to show in his body.

From inside a row of rooms not far away, Lan Xue stood by the window, watching the training Luo Zheng, motionless for three hours as well. This length of ti was nothing for Lan Xue, but she was aware of Luo Zheng's situation. It was his first ti undergoing high-intensity sniper training, especially under such high temperatures, so being able to persist for three hours without falling was quite remarkable. Her usually cold face now showed a trace of satisfaction and anticipation.

The appearance of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group made Lan Xue realize that soone was targeting Luo Zheng, with the Song family being the pri suspects. Since the Song family held high positions of power, without solid evidence, Lan Xue could do nothing but endure. She also privately felt relieved that she was at the training base, for otherwise, with Luo Zheng's current strength, death would have been certain.

Another hour passed, and Luo Zheng showed no signs of stopping. The newly delivered ammunition was quickly used up, and while the other mbers of the Training Team had already gone back for their al, Lan Xue, fearing that Luo Zheng's relentless training might backfire, left the room and hurried to the training field.

"How is it?" Lan Xue asked in a low voice.

"Not bad," Luo Zheng answered, as he fired another sniper bullet.

Lan Xue was surprised by Luo Zheng's physical condition, able to endure for so long when a normal person would have already collapsed from dehydration. She then said, "Ten shots, target nine." As she spoke, she raised her binoculars.

"Understood," Luo Zheng knew Lan Xue was about to test his performance. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, relaxed his body, and reminded himself to perform at his best. Once he felt his eyes weren't as dry anymore, he opened them abruptly, a sharp glint appearing in his gaze. Luo Zheng decisively took his shot, "Whoosh!"

"Nine rings," Lan Xue stated indifferently.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" Luo Zheng continued to shoot, with intervals of no more than three seconds between each one, while Lan Xue calmly called out the scores.

Soon, all ten bullets were fired. Lan Xue looked at Luo Zheng with a composed gaze that montarily flickered with shock, although her expression remained as frosty as ever. She said, "Ten shots, 80 rings."

Hearing such a poor result, Luo Zheng lowered his head in embarrassnt, pointed his rifle downwards, and slowly got up. He looked at Lan Xue earnestly and said, "Give so more ti, ten days, and I guarantee I'll achieve a score of 90 rings."

"Alright," Lan Xue nodded and said coldly, "Now, eat."

"Yes!" Luo Zheng clicked his heels together in gratitude, saluted, and carried his remaining ammunition towards the canteen and his quarters.

Lan Xue looked at Luo Zheng's retreating figure and smiled in relief. According to the standards, rookies in the Special Forces, those who are just selected, score 85 out of 100 for 600-ter shooting. Luo Zheng scored 80 for 1000 ters, which ant in terms of shooting, Luo Zheng basically t the qualifications to join the Special Forces. And this was just the beginning. Given ti, Lan Xue believed in her own judgnt and had even higher expectations for Luo Zheng. Thinking about sothing, her face blushed.

After lunch, Luo Zheng brought ammo to the back hill, heading straight for the waterfall. After hiding his sniper rifle, he stripped naked and jumped into the pool to continue training. The water pressure inside the pool was very high, making each punch and kick incredibly difficult. Moreover, irregular whirlpools ford around him, making it impossible to stand firm. This harsh environntal training was unbelievably challenging.

Half an hour later, Luo Zheng had to find a place where the waterfall was smaller to stop for a rest. He used the family's Breathing Skill to restore his strength while allowing the falling water of the waterfall to beat against his body, enhancing his ability to withstand impacts. When he was sufficiently recovered, he went back into the pool to train again.

In the distance, Lan Xue watched through binoculars as Luo Zheng trained with reckless abandon, her face full of worry. Thinking about Luo Zheng's stubborn nature and refusal to bow his head, she suppressed her concerns as best she could and remained vigilant, guarding against any reappearance of the Wild Wolf rcenaries. One was already dead; it was unlikely that the Wild Wolf rcenaries would let things go.

Ti passed quickly, and evening arrived. Luo Zheng, seeing it was getting late and feeling absolutely drained, crawled to a stone by the shore, planning to rest a while before returning. He hadn't closed his eyes for long when he heard a rustling noise and was suddenly alerted. He snapped his eyes open to find a dark muzzle before him. Following the barrel, he saw a person in full camouflage, their face sared with dark paint, making it impossible to tell their age or nationality. Strangely, the figure was wearing glasses, which was uncommon for a sniper unless they were tactical sunshades. However, these glasses were white, resembling prescription glasses.

"Who are you?" Luo Zheng was shocked and forced himself to remain calm. Facing death at such close range for the first ti, he hadn't yet recovered his strength and was no match. Delaying for even a mont was a mont gained.

"A delaying tactic?" the person coldly stated, speaking in a stiff Huaxia Country accent. The gun was aid at Luo Zheng's heart as the person mockingly said, "Useless. I've been observing you for four hours and thirty-eight minutes. There's no one around; no one will co to save you. I'll ask you one question. If you answer well, I can promise you a quick death, otherwise, you'll wish you were dead."

"Ask away, but I'm not guaranteeing I'll answer," Luo Zheng, seeing no escape, suddenly beca reckless. He slowly regained his composure and began to stand up straight, replying coldly.

"Good, what's your na?" the person asked, completely unbothered by Luo Zheng standing up.

"Luo Zheng," Luo Zheng replied, ready to face the end.

"Luo Zheng? Indeed, it's you. Good, you can go to hell now," the person hesitated for a mont, then suddenly brightened up, their eyes bursting with a murderous intent as they coldly commanded.

"Whoosh!" A gunshot rang out.

Luo Zheng closed his eyes but then realized he was unhard after hearing the gunshot. He opened his eyes in confusion and saw his assailant lying dead on the ground, their head blown apart. Luo Zheng knew soone had saved him. Surprised and searching around, he found nothing. Decisively, he picked up the rcenary's sniper rifle and quickly hid it under a huge rock, continuing to look around.
