The instructor hadn't expected Lan Xue and Luo Zheng to set up an ambush and kill the scout, looking at the situation incredulously without imdiately answering Lan Xue's question. Instead, he went to the brig and, upon seeing the corpse, believed completely, feeling extrely fortunate. He grew more fond of Luo Zheng, thinking if it weren't for Luo Zheng's gunshot scaring off the formidable enemy, Song Yang and the others might have died. The thought of having to explain Song Yang's death to the old commander if he had died at the Training Team made the instructor shiver, and he agreed to Lan Xue's suggestion.

Lan Xue secretly breathed a sigh of relief, handed the body over to the instructor without exposing any identities, and, failing to find any sign of Luo Zheng, had a bad feeling. He hurried towards the canteen but found no one there. He knocked on the door of the dormitory to no response. Feeling that sothing was amiss, he pushed the door open quickly to find the beds empty, with nothing on them.

"Could it be that soone from the Wild Wolf rcenary Group infiltrated the base and captured him?" With this thought crossing her mind, Lan Xue anxiously ran towards the back mountain, following the traces on the ground. She soon reached the waterfall and found Luo Zheng passed out on the ground, wearing only his underwear.

Looking at the unconscious Luo Zheng, and then at the waterfall, Lan Xue guessed the situation and looked at Luo Zheng with tender eyes, her face blushing red. She quickly draped clothes over Luo Zheng, carried him on her back, and ran towards the camp. Everyone at the camp was out training, so Lan Xue took Luo Zheng to the infirmary, urgently shouting to the army doctor, "Quickly."

"What happened to him?" The army doctor asked in surprise, beginning to check quickly.

Lan Xue was anxious as she waited, her concern causing her to beco frantic as she pressed, "How is he?"

"Exhaustion. He just needs to rest quietly for a bit. This is too harsh a training, isn't it? This kind of regin could kill soone," the army doctor comnted discontentedly.

Lan Xue didn't explain but confird her guess from the army doctor's comnts, looked at Luo Zheng with concern and said, "Let him rest here, thank you for your trouble."

"It's no problem, you go on with your duties," the army doctor replied, accustod to dealing with cases of over-exhaustion.

An hour later, Luo Zheng slowly regained consciousness, feeling strength coursing through his body. He opened his eyes to find himself lying on a sickbed with the army doctor busily attending to sothing nearby. He was startled and asked, "Who brought here?"

"The sniper instructor, didn't you know?" The army doctor asked back, surprised.

"Uh?" Luo Zheng exclaid in surprise and, after thinking for a mont, chose not to explain. He felt fine, imdiately removed the IV, and started walking out.

"Hey, what are you doing? Wait a second." The army doctor was shocked to see Luo Zheng leaving and hurried over to stop him. Once Luo Zheng stopped, the doctor expressed discontent, "You really don't take good care of yourself. Lie down, and let's finish the IV drip first."

"Army doctor, I'm fine. Look." Luo Zheng spread his hands and smiled.

"You lie down first," the army doctor said skeptically, watching Luo Zheng. Then it dawned on him that soone who had fainted from exhaustion shouldn't recover so quickly. After Luo Zheng lay down, the doctor used so instrunts to check him over and found Luo Zheng had fully recovered and was in very good physical condition, which puzzled him greatly.

"You see, I'm fine, right?" Luo Zheng said with a smile, then got up.

"Right, be more careful in the future. Haste makes waste. The way you're training could ruin yourself. By the way, that rifle is yours, right? The sniper instructor left it here, saying he would return it to you when you woke up." The military doctor said incredulously, not trying to stop him any further.

"Thank you." Luo Zheng picked up the sniper rifle and left. He returned to the dining hall, where everyone had just finished breakfast and left. Luo Zheng put the sniper rifle back in his bedroom, then headed to the ss hall, where he devoured twenty buns and two big bowls of porridge in one go. He felt much better and let out a sigh of relief. Seeing that others still ignored him as always, he assud that the events from the previous night hadn't been made public. Pleased with the peace, he stood up, ready to go to the back mountain for training.

After training hard at the waterfall pool all night, Luo Zheng found his physical strength had increased considerably. This result was exhilarating. He was confident that his decision was correct. As for the consequences of overexertion, Luo Zheng didn't care at all. With the family's Breathing Skill, his recovery speed was above average, so there was no need to worry about his physical condition.

"Wait a second." A voice ca from behind him. Luo Zheng recognized it was Lan Xue by the sound and imdiately stopped and turned to look at her. He smiled gratefully and then heard Lan Xue say discontentedly, "We're practicing live-fire sniping this morning."

"Uh? Okay." Luo Zheng suddenly rembered Lan Xue's reminder from the night before and readily agreed, thinking that training under the waterfall later in the afternoon would also be good. He followed Lan Xue towards the training field.

Arriving at the training field, Lan Xue pointed to the eight-hundred-ter target position and said, "They all start training from six hundred ters. You'll train directly at eight hundred ters. You're eager to improve yourself, right? We need to increase the difficulty of the training. Ammunition is provided freely, I want satisfactory results before lunch."

"I'll try my best." Luo Zheng promptly agreed, knowing that Lan Xue was looking out for him and naturally did not oppose it.

"Not try, you must." Lan Xue said sharply, leaving no room for doubt.

"Yes." Luo Zheng puffed up his chest and promised earnestly. He promptly took his position, lay down, lifted the sniper rifle, loaded a bullet, and started to aim carefully.

Lan Xue smiled with satisfaction, turned, and went to the storeroom to get a few boxes of sniper bullets. After setting them aside, she observed Luo Zheng's shooting. Technically, there seed to be no issue with his movents. Lan Xue used the binoculars to observe, and seeing that the bullets hit just the outer edge of the target, she frowned slightly. Thinking that Luo Zheng had fired fewer than two hundred rounds so far, hitting the target from such a long distance was already good. She felt a bit better and watched Luo Zheng training, but the image of him lying bare-bodied by the waterfall surfaced in her mind, making her face flush with embarrassnt. She quickly shook her head to cast aside the distraction.

Yet, Lan Xue found her thoughts drifting again soon after, recalling that embarrassing image and growing irritated with herself. She glared at Luo Zheng, who was still shooting, her cheeks reddening, and left, thankful that her silicone mask concealed her expression from the passing soldiers. Once back in her room, she washed her face with cold water, annoyed and trying to regain her composure, then dialed a number.

"Ice beauty, why are you calling your lively and cute little sister?" It was Lan Xing.

"Find a way to help check why the Wild Wolf rcenary Group followed us to the Training Team camp," Lan Xue said calmly, with a serious tone.

"Ah, doesn't that an trouble for your little lover? Sister, this is strange. Very few people know he's in the Training Team. Could it be the Song family?" As Lan Xing spoke, she suddenly exclaid in surprise, "Hey, how did you know about this? You didn't go et your lover, did you?"

"Stop making a fuss. Do you have a death wish? Why so many questions?" Lan Xue said discontentedly, finding herself without a single thod to handle her whimsical little sister.
