In the dense woods, Luo Zheng hid behind a large tree, listening carefully to the footsteps drawing ever nearer. The clear air carried a faint scent of blood and murderous intent, the situation was extrely perilous. Faced with an expert ard with a gun, fight or retreat? Luo Zheng pondered for a mont and chose to fight, his expression becoming even more resolute. With his back against the tree, he didn't move an inch, his mind clear. Suddenly, Luo Zheng had a brainwave and quickly took off his trousers.

"Ten ters, eight ters, five ters..." Luo Zheng calculated the distance of the approaching man in black, placed the black long knife inside the leg of his pants, flung the pants upward, took a bow in one hand, an arrow nocked and ready, and remained on high alert. Feeling the other party stop moving, Luo Zheng made his move, pushing the vertically placed long knife to the side.

The long knife stood upright, covered by the trousers. At a glance, it looked like soone lunging in this direction. The man in black fired his gun like lightning. Almost at the sa mont, Luo Zheng also drew his bow made of mulberry wood and dashed out, the arrow tip coated with Poison Liquid locking onto the target's eyes. With a whoosh, it struck like a venomous snake.

Only four ters apart, the arrow thrust over in an instant. After firing his gun, the man in black realized sothing was amiss. Hearing the whistling of the arrow, the proximity was too close for him to react. A black spot lood in his vision, growing larger and larger in his pupil until he was overwheld by an intense pain.

"Ah!" The man in black scread in agony, clutching the arrow that had pierced his eye socket. His consciousness began to scatter, his vision blurring, soon seeing nothing at all. Panicked, his hand randomly fired the gun, bang bang bang! Bullets hit the tree, splintering wood flying. Luo Zheng, with his back against the tree, remained unfazed, patiently waiting.

"Click, click, click!" The sound of an empty magazine clicking followed. Like lightning, Luo Zheng charged forward, knocking the opponent to the ground. He pulled the arrow out of the eye socket and stabbed fiercely again, his heart full of rage and hatred. The arrow pierced the man's throat, spurting blood.

Luo Zheng slowly got up, coldly watching as the man clutched his throat, making guttural noises, his body struggling to rise but ultimately failing. A sense of vengeful satisfaction welled up in Luo Zheng's heart. Soon, the man struggled no more. Crouching down, Luo Zheng searched the body, finding two magazines but nothing else that could prove the man's identity. He picked up the handgun, glanced at himself – his coat had been lost during the waterfall descent, and his pants had been taken off during the fight, leaving him in just his underwear.

Exhilarated moans reached his ears. Luo Zheng was startled, looked down, and saw the man lay dead; the moans were not from him. Another man in black whom he had shot appeared in his mind. Could it be that the other man wasn't dead? Thinking of this, Luo Zheng didn't dare to delay any longer and quickly ran over.

Soon, Luo Zheng saw another man in black lying on the ground, unconscious, with eyes tightly shut, his face pale, and a great deal of blood flowing from his neck. Crouching down for a closer look, Luo Zheng saw he had ruptured an artery but was still breathing. After searching the body and finding only two magazines and a handgun, with nothing else of value, Luo Zheng confiscated the weapons.

After securing the weapons, Luo Zheng quickly stripped the unconscious man's clothes and put them on. He took off the shoes and tried them on; they were barely passable. Just as he was about to create three signal fires for rescue, he sensed movent in the dense forest on the hillside by the river. Looking up, he saw nothing, yet he was alard, instantly realizing the other three n in black must have heard the gunshots and were on their way.

"These damn relentless bastards," Luo Zheng muttered angrily to himself. He dragged the corpse of the man in black into the bushes to hide it, then concealed another in a thicket as well, and lay down in the place of the first man he had killed, pretending to be him, remaining vigilant.

The wind rustled through the leaves, dispersing the thick scent of blood. Luo Zheng looked up at the dense canopy, glimpsing the full risen sun through the gaps, his deanor calm as still water, neither joyful nor sorrowful. Having practiced the family Breathing Skill to this day, Luo Zheng found that the more dangerous the situation, the calr he beca.

Whether disguising himself as one of the n in black would fool the other three, Luo Zheng wasn't sure, but it seed the best tactic at the mont. He was tired of the humiliation of retreating; it was ti for an all-out attack. Holding two guns in his hands, with the black long knife on his back and the mulberry bow and arrows, Luo Zheng's confidence grew trendously.

Ti gradually slipped away, and the quiet forest was suffused with an atmosphere of grim resolution. The birds and beasts nearby had long since hidden themselves; only the rustling of leaves stirred by the wind could be heard. Luo Zheng remained motionless, patiently waiting, his ears pricked up, sensing soone getting closer and closer. Slowly, he turned his head towards the direction of the approaching person.

He was playing the role of a dying man in black, not a dead one, so the direction his head was facing, he believed, was unknown to the other n in black. Patient and watchful, Luo Zheng saw a Black Shadow nearing, continuously using the surrounding trees for cover as it approached. The other two were nowhere to be seen.

"Just one person?" Luo Zheng felt sowhat disappointed but then let it go, understanding that as experts, they wouldn't swarm in and make themselves easy targets. The other two might be flanking from the left and right. With calculations in his mind, Luo Zheng adjusted his Breathing Skill and continued to wait for the perfect mont, gripping his twin guns even tighter.

"Crack!" The sound of a twig snapping underfoot was faint and subtle, almost indiscernible, but Luo Zheng heard it clearly. As a Hunter, he had to distinguish every sound in the forest. Based on the noise, he judged the target to be no more than eight ters away. He did not move, still waiting.

"Bang!" A gunshot rang out.

Luo Zheng was greatly shocked, feeling the bullet hit right beside him. Just as he thought to leap up and counterattack, he dismissed the thought. With their skills, at less than ten ters, how could they miss such a sitting target? Clearly, it was reconnaissance by fire. Luo Zheng's tensed body remained still, continuing to wait.

Before long, a man in black approached quickly, his alertness seemingly relaxed. Through his half-closed eyelids, Luo Zheng saw the approaching man, only five ters away, his expression focused as he ran towards Luo Zheng without the slightest suspicion of his identity – indeed, that earlier shot was a probe, such cunning thought.

Watching the man in black get closer, Luo Zheng was calm as still water, without a hint of excitent, not even lifting the barrel of his gun. He waited until the man was rely two ters away, and then Luo Zheng suddenly raised his hands, his half-closed eyes suddenly exploding with boundless war intent. With a face as stern as water, his hands and twin guns roared almost simultaneously.

"Bang! Bang!" Two bullets whistled away, carrying with them Luo Zheng's soaring killing intent. The incident was abrupt, the distance too close; the man in black had no ti to react. His brow and heart were hit nearly at the sa ti, staring blankly at Luo Zheng with disbelief written all over his face, before slowly toppling backwards, dead with eyes wide open.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gunshots echoed throughout the forest.

Luo Zheng had long anticipated the other two n in black would stage a sneak attack. After firing, he rolled down the hillside, hitting a tree. His body coiled like a bow drawn tight, then sprung; he leaped from the ground and dashed into the dense forest like a cheetah, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
