Song Yang had been injured and had gone to the Military District General Hospital last ti. Soone from his family ca over and told him many secrets, including the fact that Lan Xue was hidden within the Training Team and the dealings with the Wild Wolf rcenary Group. After his recovery, Song Yang turned down the family's well-intentioned arrangent for him to directly join the Special Forces and returned to the Training Team instead. He had planned to have a good talk with the instructor but unexpectedly ca across Lan Xue and Luo Zheng during the training.

Seeing the woman his family intended for him to marry paying full attention to another man, no one could stay calm. Although the marriage between the two was still just a verbal agreent, both families had tacitly consented, just waiting for the young people to agree before setting a date to formally finalize it. If word got out that Lan Xue had gotten close to another man, the Song family wouldn't be able to save face.

The family's reputation was more important than anything else to the great clans. The person who had brought the news to Song Yang conveyed the Family Head's wishes, demanding that Song Yang pursue Lan Xue no matter what. As for Luo Zheng, he was told not to interfere, for the family had other plans. Song Yang trusted the thods of his family, certain that dealing with a Luo Zheng without any background would be an easy task, but seeing the harmonious interaction between the two, resentnt surged to his head.

"Major Song, are you all right?" The instructor noticed the ferocious expression on Song Yang's face and couldn't help becoming suspicious, glancing at Lan Xue and Luo Zheng on the dark training field and sensing that sothing was amiss.

Of course, Song Yang wouldn't reveal the truth to the instructor. Realizing he had lost his composure, he took a deep breath, regained his calm, and said, "It's nothing. By the way, my family hopes that I can learn so real skills. Please take extra efforts during this ti."

"Real skills?" The instructor asked with surprise and scepticism, looking at Song Yang.

"Don't look at like that. Do you think that because I'm a 'young master,' I should only be spoilt and spend my ti idly?" Song Yang said with a smile, "Are you worried that I can't handle hardship or suffering?"

"Of course not, as long as you're willing, I'll teach you wholeheartedly," the instructor replied gratefully.

"That's good to hear. You're one of the top experts in our military district. Don't hold back anything. By the way, my father ntioned that after things are settled here, he'll transfer you over to be the head of his guard," Song Yang said smilingly, well versed in the art of winning people over, a skill that ca naturally within a big family.

"Thank you, Senior Officer," the instructor responded with joy. The position of the head of the guard might not sound like much, but those within the system knew that it was a rank of Major, and the instructor was still a Captain. The difference between junior and senior officers was vast, and crossing that gap ant a prosperous future. The instructor decided then and there to teach wholeheartedly, considering Song Yang's physical condition and aptitude to be impeccable.

Song Yang also had full confidence in his physical abilities. In order to win back Lan Xue and defend the honor of his family and himself, he was all in. After chatting with the instructor for a bit, he walked towards the training field. Lan Xue, who was instructing on Fighting Skills, sensed soone approaching. Looking up, she saw Song Ye alone, stopping a hundred ters away and waving at her. She imdiately said to Luo Zheng, "You keep practicing on your own, I'll be right back."

"Okay," Luo Zheng replied and, seeing Song Yang, continued his training with a puzzled look.

"You wanted to see ?" Lan Xue asked coldly.

"I know who you are, and there's no need for you to wear a mask anymore," Song Yang said mockingly.

"What do you want to say?" Lan Xue asked discontentedly, with a surge of coldness emanating from her.

"I want to tell you that your parents and mine have tentatively agreed on our matter. The Lan family and the Song family are well-respected in Beijing; if anything scandalous gets out, it would be bad for both our families. As long as you leave that bastard, I will let bygones be bygones," Song Yang said coldly.

"Are you worthy?" Lan Xue countered rudely as Song Yang brought the topic to the forefront.

"I'm not worthy?" Song Yang was furious, his gaze icy as he said, "In terms of family background and appearance, he's not my equal. In terms of capability, he and I are neck and neck. With just a little effort, I can absolutely surpass him. How am I not worthy? If you don't give an explanation today, I will take your words as a challenge, a challenge to our family."

"Those who truly have skill never use their family na as a golden signboard," Lan Xue mocked, seeing Song Yang on the verge of exploding and further sneering disdainfully, "The Wild Wolf rcenary Group, that's your Song family's doing, isn't it?"

"Nonsense." Song Yang almost admitted it outright but caught himself in ti. Seeing Lan Xue's mocking cold smile, he quickly explained, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Tell your family they can bring it on; worst cos to worst, we'll go down together," Lan Xue said coldly, a chilling killing intent bursting forth, firmly locking on Luo Zheng, her eyes narrowing to slits, and her body tensed like a lioness ready to pounce at any mont.

"What?" Song Yang was shocked, suddenly rembering that Lan Xue had once beaten all the scions of the Beijing elite. She was an expert among experts, notorious amongst those circles as the Ice Beauty. Almost everyone who had crossed hands with Lan Xue ended up disabled. She wasn't soone to provoke lightly; when angered, she was truly earth-shattering.

With this in mind, Song Yang couldn't help but feel timid, cursing his family for picking such a terrifying tyrant. Even if he really brought her ho, he probably wouldn't have good days ahead. But the deed was done; with no way back, once an arranged marriage between aristocratic families reached a consensus, for the sake of face, neither the woman nor the man could renege.

Just then, Lan Xue withdrew her killing intent, looking indifferently at Luo Zheng as if he was a dead man. Her sexy and gorgeous lips spat out two words before she turned to leave: "Trash."

"Trash?" Song Yang was taken aback. Once he recovered, he was so furious that he trembled with rage. If not for his fear of Lan Xue's prowess, he would have lunged at her recklessly. With a cold face, he watched Lan Xue's departing figure, swearing to himself that he would not rest until he had crushed this tyrant dragon under his body and humiliated her.

At that mont, the instructor, who had a keen sense of Lan Xue's explosive killing intent, was taken aback, not expecting such intensity from the unassuming sniping instructor. Concerned for Song Yang's safety, he quickly went over, only to find Lan Xue had already turned away. He looked at Song Yang, who was silent and brooding, realizing there must be things he didn't know about. But since Song Yang didn't want to talk and the instructor had thrown his lot with the Song family, he had no choice but to follow this path to the end.

"Major Song, are you okay?" the instructor asked softly.

"I want that bastard dead. Do you have any way?" Song Yang said hatefully, fire in his eyes, looking terrifying as his body shook slightly with anger.

"What?" The instructor was taken aback, unsure of what to say. Although training can lead to deaths, directly killing soone and death due to excessive training were two different things. Since Luo Zheng wasn't participating in the training, how could he be killed? Unless soone took direct lethal action, but the issue was... The instructor glanced at the departing Lan Xue, shrewdly deducing that her fighting skill was probably stronger than his own, and he began to feel uneasy.
