A week later, Luo Zheng was discharged from the hospital and imdiately entered training mode. This mission made Luo Zheng acutely aware of his shortcomings. Be it strength, speed, or skills, he still had a long way to go compared to the level of the Elite Soldier King, and he realized his spars with people like Ghost Hand and Snow Fox were not life-and-death battles; they had let him win on purpose, making him sowhat conceited. Training had to be intensified for him to beco a strong fighter.
That day, before dawn had even broken, Luo Zheng was awakened by his biological clock. Checking the ti, it was exactly five. He quickly dressed in his training uniform, slung on the backpack he had prepared earlier, glanced at Ghost Hand and the others still deep in sleep, and followed his usual routine. Ghost Hand and the rest would sleep another half hour before starting their morning exercise.
Once outside, Luo Zheng glanced at the dim training field. A few visible watches were nearby; soone directed a searchlight his way, but as soon as they recognized him, they imdiately moved it away. Luo Zheng jogged past the entrance and greeted the watchman, who recognized him and let him pass.
After leaving the gate, Luo Zheng looked at the nearby woods where they usually conducted their outdoor training. Originally there was no path, but after being repeatedly trodden, a natural path had ford. The road was tortuous and difficult, intentionally made so to an flexible movent techniques and the ability to dodge bullets. Luo Zheng took a deep breath and charged toward the woods without holding back, speeding off like a cheetah and quickly disappearing from sight.
By five o'clock, the National Blade Special Combat Team Base was bustling. Although there were no formal regulations and no one led the training, everyone diligently exercised on their own accord. When Ghost Hand and the others got up, they were imdiately startled to see that Luo Zheng was missing. After asking around, no one knew anything. Upon checking the equipnt, they realized that Luo Zheng had gone to train and didn't pay it much mind.
After getting up, they also went to the training field for recovery exercises but couldn't find Luo Zheng. A cloud of suspicion arose. Ghost Hand gathered everyone and whispered, "Strange, why don't we see Ghost? Did he skip recovery exercises and go straight for intensive training? No, we need to check."
"Intensive training early in the morning and not at the training field? Could he have gone for a cross-country run?" Mountain Eagle asked worriedly.
"Never mind, let's go and check," Ghost Hand said. They agreed and walked outside. Upon reaching the gatehouse and inquiring, they indeed found out he had headed to the mountains. They followed the mountain path and ran for half an hour without seeing anyone, starting to panic. Continuing their run, they soon saw a comrade carrying a person back. They approached and saw it was indeed Luo Zheng.
"Quick, brother, give him to ; he's from our squad," Ghost Hand hurriedly stepped forward to receive him.
They were all from the sa unit, and although not from the sa squad, they recognized each other. After handing over Luo Zheng to Ghost Hand, he said, "I found him training frantically in the forest, repeatedly storming uphill without holding back until he suddenly fainted. Take him back; I still have to train."
"Thank you, brother," Ghost Hand gratefully responded, quickly checking Luo Zheng and finding he wasn't seriously hard, just out of strength. He breathed a sigh of relief, hoisted Luo Zheng over his shoulder, and ran. To ensure speed, they took turns carrying him rapidly back to the base, heading straight for the hospital.
Military doctor Wu Miao was also up, preparing for exercise. As a military doctor, basic training was essential. Seeing Ghost Hand carrying the unconscious Luo Zheng, he imdiately beca anxious and approached, asking, "What happened?"
"Intensive training; he fainted," Ghost Hand hurriedly replied.
"Haven't I told you guys? Don't overdo it, don't overdo it! Why don't you listen? Quick, to the ergency room," Wu Miao scolded irritably, urging everyone to move faster.
After they reached the ergency room, everyone waited outside while Wu Miao and several doctors provided ergency care. However, they soon found Luo Zheng suddenly regaining consciousness, and quickly asked, "How do you feel?"
"Where am I?" Luo Zheng asked in return.
"The ergency room," replied Wu Miao, sounding irritated.
"Oh, I'm fine," Luo Zheng casually said, getting up to leave.
"Nonsense, lie down for ," Wu Miao angrily ordered, pressing Luo Zheng down.
Luo Zheng knew Wu Miao ant well and did not resist. He lay back down, allowing Wu Miao to check him thoroughly. Seeing Wu Miao's solemn face relax a bit, he said, "See, I told you I'm fine." But he was well aware that his quick recovery was thanks to the family's Breathing Skill.
Wu Miao, skeptical, thought how could one be fine after fainting from over-training right after a recovery? He checked again, and indeed, found no issues, which made him think of Luo Zheng's abnormal physique and curse irritably, "Can't you ever stop, don't you want to live?"
"I know my own body, thank you," Luo Zheng said politely with a smile, getting up and walking outside.
Wu Miao was inclined to stop him but then let Luo Zheng go. Outside, Luo Zheng saw Lan Xue waiting anxiously along with Ghost Hand and others. All were worried. Ward by this, he feigned ease and smiled, "I'm out now, no worries at all.
"You scared us to death, weren't you supposed to be on recovery training first?" Ghost Hand scolded.
Lan Xue, understanding the ordeal Luo Zheng went through, said, "Be more careful next ti, I'll accompany you during training."
"Thank you," Luo Zheng gratefully smiled.
After chatting for a bit, they went to the training field for so light recovery exercises to help the body adjust. After breakfast, Luo Zheng rested for a while, then went to train with climbing drills. Knowing Luo Zheng would push himself, Lan Xue watched closely to prevent accidents. Seeing Luo Zheng training intensely without reservation, fast and furiously, and with his injuries barely healed, his body couldn't sustain it; he fainted after three hundred repetitions.
"Don't move, let him wake up on his own," Lan Xue rushed over to check and seeing Ghost Hand running to carry Luo Zheng to the ergency room, she quickly shouted.
"What's going on, he fainted again? Why is he pushing himself so hard? Quickly, take him to the ergency room," Wu Miao, who happened to be passing by, said anxiously as he ran over.
"Don't move, let him recover on his own," Lan Xue seriously said, gesturing for everyone to remain still.
"You?" Wu Miao, seeing Lan Xue not wanting to send Luo Zheng to the ergency room, his expression changed drastically. He was about to reprimand her severely but then suddenly rembered Luo Zheng's abnormal physique and superior recovery abilities. He said nothing further, instead gesturing for everyone to spread out a bit and keep the area ventilated. Everyone dispersed, watching Luo Zheng who remained unconscious in surprise.
Lan Xue, seeing Luo Zheng's pale face, felt an imnse heartache and silently prayed. The reason she did not want him sent to the ergency room was to let Luo Zheng recover on his own. This would enhance his body's ability to heal—part of the training. But if he didn't wake up, or if there were lingering effects, that would be problematic. Lan Xue was very aware of this, the pressure imnse, but she endured, biting her lip.
"For yourself, for , wake up quickly," Lan Xue silently prayed, her gaze anxious.
