A week later, at the National Blade Special Combat Team Base.

Luo Zheng and others, who had safely returned, had slept for a full day and night. When they woke up, it was already noon the next day. After washing up, they went to the cafeteria to eat, and were invited into a small room by Wu Jin's guard. The room was set up for a celebration banquet with senior base leaders present, all applauding warmly, and smiling appreciatively at the sight of Luo Zheng and his team.

The celebration was a double occasion, as the issues at the Military Research Institute had also concluded successfully. Although the finishing touches were left to the drinker, the major credit was still everyone's. Luo Zheng felt he hadn't rested enough and was in a poor state of mind. He jokingly scolded Captain Wu for being stingy and then started eating heartily, planning to continue sleeping after the al before resuming training when he felt recovered.

The close combat with the Japanese, where he was defeated with one move, was considered a great disgrace by Luo Zheng. He didn't say it aloud but kept it in mind, planning to practice even harder. Wu Jin, seeing everyone in poor condition, made so casual remarks and then gave Military Doctor Wu a look before he too began to eat heartily.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone got up to leave but was stopped by Wu Miao, who called for a full dical examination in the dical room to prevent any potential health issues. The primitive forest harbored both fierce beasts and infectious diseases, which might not manifest imdiately; if they were lurking in the body, it could be troubleso. Moreover, there was the Japanese research base— who knew if there were other viruses? An infection would be problematic, so a full dical check-up upon returning from a mission was standard, and everyone had to cooperate unconditionally.

Arriving at the dical room, everyone was separated for one-on-one examinations. Luo Zheng, lying on the bed, saw Wu Miao enter and frowned slightly but did not say much. Wu Miao gave Luo Zheng a deep look, silent as well, signaling him to take off his shirt. Luo Zheng, knowing Wu Miao was the military doctor and that she had seen his body more than once, didn't say anything and cooperated.

Wu Miao examined Luo Zheng thoroughly, her brows furrowed and her expression grave. After a while, she put away her equipnt and said earnestly, "You've sustained internal injuries?"

"Hmm, I exchanged punches with an enemy," Luo Zheng replied truthfully.

"The force has damaged your internal organs; you need to rest for a month. Stay put in the base for this month, and go nowhere. I'll discuss this with the captain," Wu Miao said earnestly, her heart knowing very well that with Luo Zheng's physique and the nature of his injury, he would be fine in at most a week. However, seizing the opportunity, Wu Miao exaggerated the situation, intending to let Luo Zheng rest properly while she got the chance to be close to him.

Luo Zheng frowned slightly and glanced at Wu Miao, responding indifferently, "Is that so? It's not that serious. I know my own body; I'll be fine in three days."

"I'm the doctor; listen to ," Wu Miao replied, getting heated when she saw Luo Zheng was unappreciative.

Luo Zheng just pursed his lips and didn't argue back. When he saw Lan Xue co in, his spirits lifted, only to hear her say, "Military Doctor Wu is right; you should take so ti to recover properly." She then looked at Wu Miao with concern and continued, "How severe is his injury?"

"It's not serious," Wu Miao said, her emotions slightly out of control. She regretted her words imdiately after speaking, glanced at the uneasy Lan Xue, then looked at Luo Zheng, took a deep breath to calm herself, and continued, "Let's see, there's so internal bleeding that needs a comprehensive check." Saying this, she began packing her equipnt and left.

Lan Xue stared in surprise at the departing Wu Miao, then looked at Luo Zheng, beginning to understand, and glared at him irritably. Luo Zheng, feeling depressed, said, "What does this have to do with ? I didn't say anything."

"You really think everyone loves you, huh?" Lan Xue said irritably, signaling Luo Zheng to put on his shirt. She handed him a glass of water and whispered, "It's good to rest for a few days. We've all been fatigued from continuous operations, we are indeed all exhausted. I will report the situation to the organization."

"But what about Shadow's matter?" Luo Zheng asked anxiously.

"Ye Laixiang?" Lan Xue asked back. Seeing Luo Zheng nod, she continued, "Because Shadow was captured, Ye Laixiang rushed to the rescue and hoped for your help. Captain Wu is already aware; he spoke to privately just now. At dinner, he noticed our team was in poor condition and said we should rest well. He has assigned soone else to take care of Shadow's matter, so you don't need to worry about it."

"That's good then." Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief, delighted with the free ti. It's good as long as soone is taking care of it.

"Also, Military Doctor Wu is just looking out for your best interests." Lan Xue said softly. Seeing a puzzled look from Luo Zheng, she glared at him irritably, thought for a mont, and said seriously, "I believe you." With that, she stood up and walked out.

"Believe?" Luo Zheng was depressed but laughed as he watched Lan Xue's departing figure; the feeling of being trusted was truly wonderful. Luo Zheng silently vowed never to let Lan Xue down in his life.

Soon after, a nurse ca in, pushed Luo Zheng to the examination room for various tests, and then pushed him back to the hospital room to rest quietly. About half an hour later, Wu Miao ca in, holding the dical files, and said with a serious face, "Your cells are in a state of severe fatigue, needing nutritional supplents, and the internal bleeding needs to be treated. Start with an injection and observe for three days." After saying this, he turned and left without a friendly countenance.

"Uh?" Luo Zheng knew he had angered Wu Miao, but he did not mind, adhering to the belief that indecision brings trouble upon oneself.

The nurse ca in to administer the injection. The sight of a bunch of dicine bottles made Luo Zheng's scalp tingle, but he did not resist and cooperatively extended his hand. He had been feeling physically exhausted not just for a day or two, and he had keenly felt his lack of energy on the way back from the mission. During the three days on the nuclear submarine where he did nothing but eat and sleep, he still hadn't recovered, which clearly indicated his health was compromised. To beco stronger, he had to accept treatnt.

The infusion took a long ti, and he even had dinner in his hospital room. Captain Wu ca to check on him, bringing a pile of fruits, and told Luo Zheng that the other team mbers were also receiving treatnt. He urged Luo Zheng to focus on his recovery. Luo Zheng could only offer a wry smile and inquired about his family, learning that everything was fine, which allowed him to completely relax.

In the following days, Luo Zheng did not stay idle while lying in the hospital room. He asked Captain Wu to bring him many materials on spy warfare to study, including text and videos. The security protocols at the Military Research Institute made Luo Zheng recognize his weaknesses and, as he could not train physically, studying in bed wasn't a bad alternative.

Seeing Luo Zheng's determination, Captain Wu sought Wu Miao's opinion, who confird that ntal activity would not hinder the treatnt and might even help with cell regeneration. Captain Wu then arranged for old spy warfare experts from the base to co and impart their skills, which Luo Zheng gratefully absorbed with eager interest.

Three days later, Luo Zheng's treatnt ca to a pause. After a comprehensive check, Wu Miao requested observation for three more days, during which so recovery training was possible. With spy warfare experts on hand, Luo Zheng did not object.

Seeing Luo Zheng studying intensely, Wu Miao felt a pang of sympathy but did not object. A soldier, after all, should embody a soldier's strength and strive to be the strongest.
