On the battlefield, if the enemy doesn't move, neither do I; if the enemy moves, I move first. Luo Zheng had keenly guessed the enemy's deploynt through their identities and imdiately made adjustnts. Everyone deeply agreed, with no objections. The opposite direction led to the ard warlord's stronghold, a place no one would expect us to run towards. There would surely be safety along the way, and once we reached the forest, there would be a chance to escape. The situation would only improve once the reinforcents arrived.

Lan Xue complied and imdiately pulled out a satellite phone to contact headquarters, informing them of our route. Through headquarters, we established communication with the reinforcents. As for when the reinforcents would arrive, no one could be sure. If possible, Luo Zheng would have wished to delay the deal by a few days, but this was Turul's territory, where longer nights bred more dreams. The quicker the deal, the better.

As the approaching wooden boat ca into view, with two familiar faces on board, Lin Shusen and Song Yun, we were taken aback. Then, we heard Song Yun call out in surprise, "Is that you?"

"I didn't expect it to be you?" Lin Shusen also recognized Luo Zheng and said gratefully.

"Hurry up, we have our people on the boat to et you. Follow them," said Luo Zheng with a wry smile.

"What about you?" Song Yun asked anxiously, looking at Luo Zheng, who did not answer, but instead glanced towards the approaching ard warlords, his face cold as ice. Song Yun quickly grasped what was at stake and protested, "No, you can't do this, it's too dangerous, I won't let you take that risk."

Luo Zheng swept his icy gaze over Song Yun without saying a word, not knowing what to say. After giving Lin Shusen a glance, his sharp eyes returned to the enemy ahead. Song Yun's face turned pale, and she cried out in distress, "No, I'll go with you, we die together if we must."

"You want to get killed?" retorted Luo Zheng, giving no quarter for Song Yun's feelings. The battlefield was no joke, nor a soap opera. With life in peril at any mont and accidents likely to occur, bringing soone unversed in combat would only lead to a swifter death.

"You?" Song Yun's face showed deep pain as tears rolled down her cheeks, staring blankly at Luo Zheng.

Lin Shusen tried to comfort her, "He's not scolding you; he's stating a fact. You don't know how to fight, and following us would only be a burden, endangering him. If you truly want to help him, then leave here quickly. Without us holding him back, he can fight freely. Let's speed up," he called to the others on the boat.

Everyone paddled vigorously, those without oars using their hands, and the boat's speed increased a notch. Song Yun also ca to her senses, taking a deep look at Luo Zheng, suddenly recalling Lan Xue's words, "You don't belong to our world, you don't understand our ways."

"Be careful." Song Yun didn't persist but sincerely admonished him, beautiful face streaked with tears now swept away by the wind. Her aggrieved expression softened greatly. At that mont, Song Yun found she understood Luo Zheng and the others a bit better, realizing how self-absorbed and absurd her own behaviors had been.

Luo Zheng didn't look back; instead, he focused intently ahead. On the battlefield, any negligence could be fatal. His full attention was required to sense the pervasive danger in the air and to make correct judgnts. After covering so distance, Luo Zheng slowed down and heard Turul's furious shouts. Unshaken but not daring to look back, he gently asked through the headset, "Did you pick up the people?"

"Getting on board now," Ghost Hand responded softly.

Luo Zheng listened to Ghost Hand's voice through his earpiece, estimating that it would still take so ti for everyone to board the boat. He simply laid the paddle on the gunwale, letting the boat continue forward with its montum, hiding his body behind Balang to protect himself from the Sniper. anwhile, he calmly counted the people on the large ship—about thirty or so. On both sides, there were many smaller boats, every one of them ard to the teeth, eyeing the scene with a predatory gaze, ready to open fire at any mont, and there were quite a few of them as well.

Going ashore would an certain death, sothing Luo Zheng was well aware of. Since the tour group had already boarded, it was ti to leave. All he needed to do was buy ti, delaying as long as possible to afford everyone ample ti to evacuate. The boat's speed gradually slowed; they were about fifty ters away from the large ship. Luo Zheng simply picked up the paddle and rowed in the opposite direction a couple of tis, bringing the boat to a stop.

"What are you trying to do? Hand them over imdiately, or it's fish and nets be damned," Turul rushed to the deck of the large ship, his face livid with rage as he roared at Luo Zheng, who had stopped. Fearing the departure of the tour group and suspecting Luo Zheng of deceit, Turul couldn't help but be on guard. With Turul's roar, the heavy machine guns on the decks of the nearby vessels all aid at Luo Zheng.

"What's the rush? As if I could escape. Once I hand them over, can you guarantee my people will be allowed to leave?" Luo Zheng demanded coldly, drawing everyone's attention to relieve the current tension and create an opportunity for a retreat.

"We must take out the heavy machine guns, six in total. Mountain Eagle, you're in charge of the three on the left," Lan Xue's voice rang in the earpiece. Once battle was imminent, Lan Xue set aside all distractions and made the right decisions.

"Everyone has boarded, not a single one missing," Ghost Hand also transmitted through the earpiece.

Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief, speaking softly, "Snipers get ready, wait for my command. Ghost Hand, retreat."

Upon hearing this, Ghost Hand quickly revved up the engine, driving the iron boat toward the designated direction at full speed. Seeing this, Turul's face changed drastically, his eyes fixed on Luo Zheng, but since his family was in Luo Zheng's hands, he dared not throw caution to the wind. He bellowed furiously, "Shaless, you bunch of scoundrels with no honor, release them now!"

"Did I say I wouldn't release them? What are you worried about with here?" Luo Zheng said coldly.

Considering the safety of his family and Luo Zheng being within shooting range, Turul wasn't worried about any tricks. Otherwise, he would have given the attack order much earlier. Still, the feeling of being outwitted was frustrating. Turul's expression darkened like it could drip water, and with a bitter laugh of extre anger, he said, "Good, very good. You're the first to dare to play . Hand them over now." Saying so, he snatched a gun from soone next to him, aid at Luo Zheng quickly, and his narrow eyes filled with terrifying ferocity.

Luo Zheng, who had seen plenty of life and death situations, obviously didn't care about Turul's show of strength. As long as Balang and the elder were in his grasp, he was safe. Once he handed them over, he was certain to die, so he scoffed disdainfully, "My people haven't reached the safe zone yet. You tell to hand them over, so let's go ahead; we might as well break it off completely."

The grenades strapped to Balang and the elder jostled dangerously, threatening to detonate at any mont. Turul had already spotted the grenades, which was why he had been so cautious, and it made him so angry he nearly spat blood. His fierce gaze locked onto Luo Zheng, and through gritted teeth, he said, "Fine, you've got guts."

The murderous rage had to be suppressed, and this feeling made Turul wish fervently that he could tear Luo Zheng apart. He made a ntal note that once his family was safe, he would thoroughly torture the bastard before him.
