"Captain, the situation's not good. The enemy is closing in from three sides," a voice ca through the earpiece—it was Ghost Hand.

It was Mountain Eagle, responsible for escorting the tour group to evacuation. Mountain Eagle, leading the way, had discovered the impasse and quickly reported the situation to everyone.

He had just concealed himself when the air buzzed with dense gunfire; bullets poured down like rain, most of them were random sprays. Lan Xue acted too swiftly, too covertly for anyone to spot him.
Another dog barked madly, howling in chaos. Lan Xue coldly peeked out, took another look at the dog, raised his hand, and fired another shot. The barking stopped abruptly. Lan Xue then dived down the hillside and hid behind the trunk of a large tree.
"Ratatat!" Intense gunfire followed, slamming into the hillside, ravaging the surrounding trees beyond recognition, sending stray bullets flying, and making one's heart race.
Lan Xue didn't linger on the hillside but quickly circled to the other side, climbing up the slope rapidly. Peeking over, he saw a massive wave of pursuers charging up, only a hundred ters away, shouting incoherently. Lan Xue heard gunfire from the behind the trees as well, knowing Ghost Hand had engaged the enemy. By their strength alone, it was impossible to stop the hundreds of pursuers. Lan Xue was uncertain how much more ti they could buy. "Da da da!" More enemies located Lan Xue's position and opened fire. This put Lan Xue at a disadvantage, forcing her to lie down to dodge the bullets. The pursuers showed no sign of stopping, the intensive gunfire accurately sealed her off, preventing Lan Xue from raising her head.
Retreating would be easy, but who would stop this group of pursuers after that? Lan Xue felt bitter as she lay tight behind the slope, hearing the footsteps of the enemy getting closer. She rolled a bit further down the slope and huddled under a large tree. Peeking out, she saw about a dozen enemies had charged up the hill, now firing at the waist of the slope.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Lan Xue's three accurate shots took down three enemies, only to find out she was out of bullets. Reluctantly, she drew her pistol again. If she had enough bullets, Lan Xue was confident she could draw the enemy out and eliminate them on the move, but without bullets, she was at a disadvantage.
At that mont, the enemy discovered Lan Xue's new hiding place and focused their fire on her. Fortunately, dense trees around her blocked most of the bullets. Lan Xue checked her magazine behind the big tree, noting only a few bullets were left, she loaded the magazine with a grimace and raised her hand to fire three shots.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Three shots rang out, three targets fell. Lan Xue swiftly ran down the hillside. Mid-run, she drew her Tiger Teeth knife—devoid of ammo, she only had her blade to rely on now.
Seeing Lan Xue flee, the enemy howled and surged down the hill, hot on her heels and firing wildly. Lan Xue glanced back with a bitter smile, accelerating. In terms of speed alone, Lan Xue had no fear of these n, but the circumstances were different now. She couldn't run too fast, or the pursuers would go after the other travelers. She had to lead this mob on a chase.
