"The Type 09? This sniper rifle is unquestionable for mid to long-range strikes, but we're heading to jungle warfare where visibility isn't great. Personally, I think the Type 88 with its accurate range of 800 ters would suit you better," Shan Hu suggested.

"It's fine, I'll take it. In case I run out of bullets, I can also use 12.7mm machine gun rounds. Since the enemy are ard bandits, they should be carrying machine guns," Luo Zheng said seriously.

"Alright, you're the sniper, so we'll do as you suggest. But this gun is a bit heavy, I rember it's 13.3 kilograms, right? Add the bullets and other gear, and it's over thirty kilograms. Can you handle it?" Shan Hu asked.

"No problem," Luo Zheng affird. He had grown fond of the Type 09 and had been training with it for so ti; it was the most suitable for him. A white light scope combined with an infrared thermal imaging scope was usable night and day, with an effective range nearly twice that of the Type 88 sniper rifle and more than three tis the penetration capability, enhancing the ability to precisely damage distant battlefield targets.

"Alright then, this gun is mainly used for completing various tasks such as sniping and anti-sniper, counter-material, counter-terrorism and riot control under different combat situations. It's suitable, indeed. We'll handle the mid to short range, and leave the mid to long range to you." Sam was also very familiar with this gun and didn't insist further, going off to prepare.

"Zhengzi, with such an aweso sniper weapon, our hearts are at ease. I've tried it; it's barely okay within a kiloter, but beyond that, I have no confidence. Can you provide confidence for the brothers? Within two kiloters, can you effectively strike cluster living targets?" Huang Lei said with a laugh.

"Two thousand ters at cluster living targets?" Luo Zheng pondered and said uncertainly, "Let's try. I'm fifty percent sure, but it really depends on the shooting environnt."

"Fifty percent is enough," Huang Lei exclaid joyfully: "Guys, our squad is going to make a na for itself this ti. Two thousand ters! Who among you can claim fifty percent certainty? I bet in our entire brigade, only Sniper King has that confidence."

"Indeed, the Type 09 can precisely damage important living targets such as commanders, snipers, and observers within 1,000 ters; destroy key targets like command and control systems, parked aircraft, missiles on launchers, radars, fuel depots, ammunition stores, light vehicles, and boats within 1,500 ters; and strike cluster living targets within 2,000 ters. It's our latest Big Killer equipnt. Everyone is accustod to the Type 88; this one isn't widely spread mainly because it demands a lot from the sniper. To think our squad is equipped with it now," the assaulter Zhang Bao said with a smile.

After chatting casually for a while, Shan Hu ca over, stating that all the paperwork was handled properly and asked everyone to go to the armory to collect their gear. Everyone scrambled to the armory and collected their individual equipnt. Luo Zheng noticed that Zhang Bao was using a light machine gun, which could share ammunition with his own sniper rifle. The near-two-ter tall giant made the light machine gun look like a toy in his hands. Huang Lei mostly chose various explosives, and like He Shan and Jin Xin, opted for the Type 92 automatic assault rifle. On the battlefield, ammunition compatibility is extrely important.

Having moved all their equipnt back to the dorm, everyone began disassembling and inspecting it for any damage. It was still possible to replace it before departure; this was routine. Luo Zheng also carefully checked his own rifle, cleaned and oiled it, perford maintenance on the rifle, and after double-checking the other items and finding no issues, he finally relaxed.

The next day, right before departure, Shan Hu solemnly had everyone write their last wills. This was customary, and Luo Zheng, writing this kind of thing for the first ti, felt odd and didn't know what to write. Looking at what the others wrote, they all penned sothing bold: Prepare the wine and the feast for my victorious return! Luo Zheng, too, felt a surge of spirit, wrote his line, and handed it to Shan Hu, who had co to collect them.

"The brothers are used to writing these things. Don't get wrong, as the team leader, it's my responsibility and duty to remind you. Are you sure you don't want to think it through?" Shan Hu said solemnly.

"I understand, but it's really not necessary," Luo Zheng said lightly, confidence welling up within him. He had dealt with top-notch experts from the Wild Wolf rcenary Group before; re drug traffickers weren't a threat to Luo Zheng's confidence.

"Okay," Shan Hu didn't add anything further and left with the letters.

After another casual chat and dinner, everyone went to rest, ensuring ample sleep to keep their bodies relaxed and effective when the critical mont arrived.

Night fell swiftly, and as the moonlight poured in like water, the leaves outside the window rustled, with the occasional sounds of warriors training from the field. Luo Zheng found himself unable to sleep, not from nerves but in anticipation. This battle was both a proof and a test; nearly four grueling months of training, no one knew the pain better than Luo Zheng himself. If it weren't for his family's breathing skill that allowed his body to recover faster than normal, he'd likely have been broken by now.

Unconsciously, an image of a beautiful face erged in Luo Zheng's mind, gazing at him deeply. With a smile as if wildflowers were blooming, Luo Zheng smiled knowingly, the troubles in his heart settled, and he gradually fell asleep.

The next morning, well-nourished and energized, everyone donned their camouflage suits best suited for jungle combat, only their faces showing beneath the oil paint. This disguise was a garnt decorated with strings and strips made of cloth and burlap, including a hat, jacket, and trousers, with over a thousand strips effectively breaking up the human silhouette, ensuring that the entire person blended into the natural background, going unnoticed.

Once everyone was ready, there were no farewells or toasting drinks. The iron-blooded n needed none of this sentintality. They shouldered their marching packs and ard with camouflaged weapons, they rushed out of the dorm and onto the waiting transport helicopter. The propellers accelerated, and the helicopter took off towards the far horizon, leaving behind the training field filled with soldiers still training and the brigade commander's blessings and expectations from the window.

The transport helicopter flew swiftly, with everyone sitting quietly, resting with their eyes closed. Half an hour later, a red warning light illuminated the cabin, and Shan Hu calmly commanded, "Brothers, it's ti to work, check your equipnt."

With the sound of rifle bolts sliding into place, everyone rechecked their equipnt and nodded at Shan Hu to signal everything was in order. Seeing Luo Zheng completely unflustered, as if he were a veteran familiar with battlefields, Shan Hu breathed a sigh of relief and loudly called out, "First Squad!"

"Conquer as the first," everyone shouted the squad's motto, the thick aura of combat filling the cabin.

On his first mission and hearing the squad's motto for the first ti, Luo Zheng felt uplifted; his blood began to boil. Gripping his rifle tightly, he took a deep breath and forced himself to stay calm as the transport helicopter hovered, and next to him, Huang Lei threw down two ropes. After seeing the green light in the cabin blink, he grabbed the ropes and quickly rappelled down.
