"Ah—!" More horrific screams arose, piercing and agonizing. Turul listened and knew they didn't sound like cries from being shot. Startled, he looked around only to discover people collapsing to the ground, writhing in pain. What was more bizarre was that even more people fell down around them, like dominoes in their misery, yet there was no one firing up ahead.

"What's going on?" Turul shouted.

The people around him had no clue what was happening. As so went to check, within monts, over a dozen more had fallen to the ground, rolling in pain. Soon, soone was carried over by people whose faces were stricken with terror and ashen white. One of them spoke up in horror, "It's, it's the Magic Ant."

Magic Ant was just the local na for these yellow ants; it wasn't a scientifically recognized term. But Turul was aware of these ants' existence. His face instantly turned pale, and he watched the unconscious victims in disbelief. There was a coin-sized red patch on a leg and red rashes spread all over the body. He soon realized it indeed was the Magic Ant and urgently yelled, "Quick, everyone scatter, pull back!"

A bite from a Magic Ant not only caused unbearable itching and numbness in the limbs but also symptoms like chest tightness and shortness of breath. If treated within an hour, one might save their life, but it could lead to insomnia among other issues. In other words, a bite from these yellow ants ant you were either dead or crippled. Turul couldn't help but worry.

The order was quickly relayed, but it was too late. Countless red ants mobilized, attacking any visible target in a frenzy, the entire area around the anthill turned into a yellow sea. Luo Zheng hadn't expected so many and was taken aback, promptly ordering everyone to fall back, just in case.

The crowd was puzzled, but they too heard the screams and turned to run. Only the grenade-throwing scholar saw clearly what was happening. He never imagined the ants could be so vicious. His face turned pale as he turned to run like mad, all the while urging everyone to hasten their pace. His respect for Luo Zheng grew, for being able to use nature in combat was truly extraordinary.

The yellow ants moved quickly, streaming out from their nest in frenzied pursuit, creating a vast blanket that overwheld the ard personnel, who had no chance to escape. Nearly a hundred fell to the ground, screaming in horror. The continuous, heartrending cries were enough to shatter one's sanity, and even the light drizzle seed to stop in fright.

Luo Zheng ran for a while, and, thinking he was out of the attack range, stopped and found a place to hide. Looking back, his face blanched at the sight. A massive army of yellow ants was rushing toward the ard forces. The militants were stumbling and rolling as they ran, but they soon fell to the ground, never to rise again.

The yellow ants quickly covered the fallen, forming a wave that surged forward. Even more people collapsed to the ground. Watching the scene, Luo Zheng was dumbfounded. Such formidable attacking power!?

The rest saw this too and gathered around, but the scholar stopped them, forbidding anyone to get closer. They watched from a distance to avoid attracting the yellow ants' vengeance. After waiting a while, the yellow tidal wave receded, leaving behind a devastated landscape littered with corpses. A single red ant was enough to kill; what of so many attacking at once? The toxin was monstrously potent—no one could withstand it.

"Should we go check it out?" the scholar asked Luo Zheng, his face filled with shock.

Everyone's gaze towards Luo Zheng was tinged with a newfound awe. Using poisonous ants in battle was a terrifying tactic, unheard of before. They didn't know how Luo Zheng knew of these yellow ants and were full of curiosity about his abilities, but no one dared to ask more.

"Wait a little longer," Luo Zheng said softly.

Scholar agreed with a nod, offering no objections. This ant poison tactic was beyond his comprehension, and curiosity swelled within him. He couldn't understand how Luo Zheng knew about these yellow ants. And what species were these yellow ants, to be so fierce? It seed his own jungle warfare skills were far too inferior, not even knowing about these creatures.

Luo Zheng was unaware of the resentnt brewing in Scholar's heart and was equally shocked himself. He hadn't anticipated the formidable attack power of these yellow ants, and the fact that they were launching organized group attacks—were these really ants? However, those who died were ard warlords. Thinking of the fallen comrades, he couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief and exclaid with gusto, "Brothers, we've got ourselves so interest this ti. Follow , but watch your step." With that, he moved forward.

The others followed Luo Zheng cautiously to avoid being bitten by the ants. Fortunately, they were wearing high-top blast-resistant military boots, not the cloth shoes of the ard warlords. When they ca across lone yellow ants, they crushed them without hesitation, just to be safe. As they approached the ant-covered ground and saw the bodies, their faces turned pale.

The corpses were unrecognizable, the exposed skin was a raw red, and the eyes sunken. Luo Zheng said in a low voice, "Be careful, pick up any usable ammunition."

After continuous combat, their ammunition was depleted. This was a good opportunity to resupply. On Luo Zheng's command, everyone responded understandingly, carefully checking their surroundings. They didn't rush to grab the magazines but used their combat knives to poke around first, ensuring there were no yellow ants before picking them up.

The ammunition from nearly a hundred n was enough for everyone, but they were cautious because of the yellow ants, which made cleaning up the battlefield take longer. Luckily the enemy had been chased away by the yellow ants, enabling them to take their ti. Half an hour later, with plenty of ammunition in hand, they left for Turul's lair.

With ample ammunition, everyone felt bolder, their only regret being that the bullets were all for AK47 rifles. They had to put down their familiar weapons and switch to AK47s, which fortunately they weren't unfamiliar with. Luo Zheng also carried an AK47 on his back while holding an 88 sniper rifle, along with several sniper bullets. The main reason was that the sniper scope on the sniper rifle was good for observation and long-range viewing.

As dusk fell, they rested in a forest on a mountain ridge, ate so rations, and set up watches. Scholar ca hurriedly to Luo Zheng's side, plopped down, and whispered, "Captain, that battle earlier was incredibly satisfying, all the brothers are thrilled, morale is sky-high. By the way, how long until we reach the enemy's lair?"

"If we travel through the night, roughly tomorrow night," Luo Zheng replied softly, his face devoid of any joy from the victory, weighed down by the thought of his deceased brethren. He began to disassemble the AK47 in his hands for inspection.

"Report, a troop of about fifty people has been spotted eating in the woods about three hundred ters ahead, please advise," ca a voice from a scout over the earpiece.

Luo Zheng was startled and glanced at Scholar, who whispered back, "Do we attack?"

The prospect of their dozen n engaging a group of fifty was audacious, but Luo Zheng pondered for a mont and said, "We can attack, but not head-on."

"What good plan have you co up with this ti?" Scholar asked in surprise.
