Luo Zheng did not imdiately divulge his thoughts but instead glanced at the scholar and looked ahead, sinking into a brief contemplation before continuing, "See that big tree up ahead? What's on the treetop?"
Following Luo Zheng's pointed direction with surprise, the scholar noticed a huge beehive amidst the dense foliage, with bees faintly buzzing around. His eyes lit up as he began to understand Luo Zheng's intent. After a mont of thought, he said, "That seems to be a Killing Bee's nest, but it's not easy to take down. Do you have a plan?"
"It's not difficult; just sar enough mud on yourself, sneak up quietly, and make so room in a backpack. Furthermore, hanging so Wild Garlic around your body can also help. Here's the plan, you command everyone to stay on guard, don't attack for now, and definitely don't expose ourselves. I'll go get the Killing Bee nest down," Luo Zheng said as he stood up.
"I can arrange for soone to handle this minor task," the scholar quickly interjected, calling out through his headset. After naming soone, he received an acknowledgnt through the headset, then briefed the person on the plan. With another affirmative response from the party, the scholar called a few more people to assist.
Before long, Luo Zheng saw a warrior sared with thick mud, with many strings of Wild Garlic around his neck, quickly scrambling up the tree with an emptied backpack. The Killing Bees flew over, perhaps detecting the pungent odor, and since the warrior lay motionless in the tree, the bees did not perceive anything amiss and soon flew away.
The warrior climbed higher, soon reaching the vicinity of the wasp nest, opened the mouth of the backpack, swiftly enveloped the entire hive inside, secured the opening, and, after cutting the branch that connected the nest to the tree with his military dagger, faced an onslaught of attacking Killing Bees. They sward around the warrior as he hurried down the tree without a trace of panic, carrying the military backpack.
Watching this scene, Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief. It was a success.
The warrior hastened back to the scholar, who praised him briefly. Noticing the soldier's sowhat swollen face, the scholar realized it was from the stings of the Killing Bees. With so many bees attacking, it was impossible to co out completely unscathed, but fortunately, the situation wasn't very serious. He directed the warrior to go get treated.
Luo Zheng pulled so grass from nearby and handed it to the warrior, "First, have soone help you remove the stingers, then crush the grass into juice and apply it to the wounds, and you'll be fine. At most, it'll take an hour to be as good as new."
"Thank you," the warrior gratefully accepted the grass Luo Zheng offered, and although not familiar with it, he had absolute trust in Luo Zheng and left cheerfully.
"Can we launch the attack now?" the scholar inquired.
"Hmm, you take care of it," Luo Zheng said, seeing that the scholar had already grasped his intentions.
The scholar did not shirk the responsibility, as he was more familiar with the abilities of each mber of the team than Luo Zheng. He imdiately summoned a capable young man over through the headset, carefully handed him the backpack, and said, "Be careful going up there, and when I give the command, throw this backpack into the middle of the enemy."
"Understood," the adept soldier readily agreed, fully understanding the instructions.
At this point, everyone understood Luo Zheng's tactics and breathed a sigh of relief, feeling expectant. With the support of the Killing Bees, they believed that eliminating the enemies ahead would not be difficult. Clenching their fists tightly, the scholar glanced at Luo Zheng and quickly issued the stealth attack order.
The team crept forward and soon spotted a group of people around a campfire, roasting at and chatting boisterously, occasionally bursting into suggestive laughter. A few roving guards were not far away, but the overall defense was lax. After observing for a while, the scholar made several hand signals, and three warriors drew their military sabers and moved forward quickly and carefully.
Using trees for cover and stopping occasionally, the three soldiers soon approached one of the roving guards. One of them stealthily positioned behind a tree, reached out quickly, covered an enemy's mouth, and plunged the military saber into his temple with a twist before pulling it out, instantly depriving the man of life.
Neither slashing the throat nor stabbing the heart could ensure quick death; encountering those with strong vitality, the body's muscles could instinctively fight back. If the person had a gun, upon realizing they were under attack, muscles might instinctively twitch, causing fingers to pull the trigger. But stabbing the temple is different, as it is near the central nervous system. Once damaged, the brain and body lose all connection, leading to rapid death and the imdiate end of consciousness, preventing any chance for combat.
The other two soldiers also took out their designated sentries and signaled to the others. Seeing this, the scholar imdiately ordered the team to advance. The agile soldier with the backpack rushed forward with incredible speed, moving unpredictably. Luo Zheng then understood why the scholar assigned this task to him; his movents weren't just fast, they were also incredibly deft, making him ideally suited for the job.
The soldier quietly positioned behind a large tree about ten ters from the enemy, waited to ensure he was not discovered, and then threw the backpack with all his might.
The n were engrossed in their idle talk and completely unaware of the incoming stealth attack. They were startled by the approaching backpack, but as soon as they recognized the swarming Killing Bees, they realized the danger, turned pale, and fled. The scene instantly descended into utter chaos, with many forgetting even to grab their weapons.
"Spread out, encircle, and attack from cover," the scholar commanded coldly as he watched the scene unfold.
Everyone spread out quickly, finding cover and taking aim at the panicked targets. The Killing Bees, having been captured in one fell swoop, were brimming with fury. Once freed, they attacked anyone in sight. Knowing the danger, people scattered to avoid them. As gunshots rang out, they realized it was an ambush, but it was already too late. With rage in their hearts, the soldiers opened fire, dropping more than half of them in a sweeping burst.
The remaining ard militants tried to hide, but with the Killing Bees present, there was no escape, and they beca completely panicked. Holding their guns, they fired wildly—so towards Luo Zheng and his companions, so into the sky. Their actions drove the Killing Bees into a frenzy, their buzzing overwhelming.
The warriors fired from a distance at the exposed enemies, venting their rage and shouting in exhilaration. Luo Zheng was no exception. He poured all his hatred into his bullets, shooting the exposed enemies rcilessly, his gaze firm and piercing.
The battle was a foregone conclusion; with the help of the Killing Bees, the group easily disposed of around fifty ard militants. Luo Zheng, watching the Killing Bees swarm the skies, quickly ordered the troops to retreat without even clearing the battlefield, lest they provoke the vengeful Killing Bees.
Although the previous battle with the toxic ants had been terrifying and had yielded significant victory, everyone felt this battle was even more thrilling as they had killed the enemies with their own hands. Upon hearing Luo Zheng's command, they turned and retreated, their faces marked by the exhilaration of victory and their morale soaring. With resolute eyes full of admiration, they looked towards Luo Zheng.
