"Carry out the order, take my brothers to safety," Lan Xue said coldly when she saw he didn't comply, her entire body erupting with a terrifying murderous aura mixed with the scent of blood. This aura, all too familiar to soldiers, imdiately made the captain realize he had underestimated the seemingly delicate woman in front of him. He saluted solemnly and replied, "Yes, mission guaranteed, unless I'm dead."
"Even if you die, you'll still have to ensure their safe return," Lan Xue said coldly.
"Yes, will complete the mission even in death," the captain solemnly responded and turned to leave.
"Fourth Team, follow to distract the enemy," Lan Xue commanded, turning to leave but then hesitated when she heard Ghost Hand calling out. She paused, glancing at Ghost Hand, then at Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard, her icy face softening slightly as she said, "Brothers, make sure you survive."
"You too," everyone advised solemnly.
Lan Xue nodded and walked away, her frail figure growing taller and stronger. The Fourth Team watched her departure, their eyes fierce, shouting, "Fourth Team, follow , we live and die together!"
"We live and die together!" everyone roared together, filled with tragic courage. They knew what it ant to cover the rear, but none cared. As soldiers, to die on the battlefield was an honor. When the nation called, no one would back down; each face was stern, guns raised high as they charged forward.
"Move fast." The Fifth Team, seeing the Fourth Team disappear into the woods, called out anxiously. Everyone hurried forward, and amid the rush, Song Yun looked back in the direction Lan Xue had gone. Lan Xue's spirit of self-sacrifice deeply imprinted in Song Yun's mind, her eyes brimming with tears of respect. At that mont, Song Yun realized she truly was no match for Lan Xue.
"Let's move," Lin Shusen, sowhat aware of the friction between Song Yun and Lan Xue, urged, "The best way to help them is for us to leave quickly. Without us as a burden, their chances of survival are much greater. They're all brave, still so young." By the end, Lin Shusen too was moved to tears.
