Having crawled about two ters, Lan Xue suddenly sprang up from the ground and dashed forward like a cheetah, her gun held steady at shoulder level, continuously firing at the approaching targets. Her expression was icy and resolute as the back of her head seed to have eyes of its own, constantly changing her route to dodge bullets, headshotting every target; none that Lan Xue spotted were spared.
"Combat sniping?" The mbers of the fourth squad were stunned to see Lan Xue sprinting and still managing precise headshots. As Special Forces, they had all heard of combat sniping—shooting targets while running at high speed during combat, but they had never seen it in action. This skill was not sothing an ordinary person could manage.
The sniper was running at high speed, making it difficult to maintain shooting accuracy, and the sniped were also running, constantly changing direction. It was hard enough to hit a target, let alone perform a headshot, which required extrely sophisticated sniping skills, strong gun feel, and shooting talent.
Watching this scene, everyone's blood boiled anew. Being outperford by a seemingly frail woman was unbearable. Everyone fired rapidly, killing one enemy chaser after another with sharp, continuous bursts of fire, but with high precision. As Special Forces, everyone naturally understood the principle and chose burst fire. However, stimulated by Lan Xue's formidable combat skills, their shooting was faster than usual, almost feeling like automatic fire.
"Kill!" The mbers of the fourth squad roared. As tough individuals, all had their pride and no one wanted to be outdone by Lan Xue, even though they knew she was more skilled and were unwilling to lag behind.
Lan Xue, hearing gunshots quite different this ti, was shocked, but didn't look back, continuing her tactical running and shooting. Seeing more and more enemies approaching closer, she quickly rushed over to regroup, shouting while firing, "Quick, groups of five, alternate cover and retreat, draw the enemies away."
"Understood," the squad leader of the fourth squad imdiately replied, making several combat hand signs. The team split into two seamlessly, groups of five covering each other; one group retreated twenty ters to provide cover fire and called for everyone to fall back quickly. Lan Xue, hearing her group was in position, didn't delay, leading everyone to turn and run.
After covering and retreating for so distance, suddenly, a team erged diagonally and caught everyone off guard. Two warriors were injured. Lan Xue, alard, shouted, "Hold the front, I'll assist," and leaping from cover, she dashed forward, continuously shooting and killing enemy after enemy.
"Da-da-da." A barrage of bullets swept in. Lan Xue dove to the ground, rolling swiftly under a large tree, aid calmly at the enemies ahead, and fired again, downing three more enemies before dashing forward, reaching behind a slope, and quickly killing five enemies attempting to charge up the slope.
"We're going all out." The sight of two injured comrades enraged everyone further. Roaring fiercely, they retaliated by firing and knocking down the enemies charging from the front. The squad leader of the fourth squad, concerned about his brothers' safety, after suppressing the frontal enemy attack, took a mont to glance to the side. Seeing Lan Xue had already pushed ahead, close to the wounded, and with enemy fire diminishing on that side, he relaxed slightly and yelled, "Brothers, hold back these bastards, kill!"
"Kill!" Concerned about the condition of their wounded comrades, everyone roared, their morale sky-high.
After killing the enemies ahead, Lan Xue forcefully pushed off the ground, leaping up the slope with a tiger's jump, rolled into a kneeling position, and aid ahead. Spotting about ten more enemies in the forest ahead, howling as they advanced, she gripped her gun firmly, her icy gaze bursting with a chill, and opened fire.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Three bursts of fire, three bullets in a row, whistling towards three targets, piercing straight into their foreheads like Death God himself, harvesting their lives.
"Ratatat!" The enemy fired back, bullets sweeping over intensively in retaliation. Unlike Lan Xue and her comrades, the militants' gun skills were diocre at best. They fired in bursts, trying to win with sheer firepower.
Although the intensely sweeping bullets lacked precision and were unpredictable, they could not be ignored. Lan Xue had leaped forward after firing her gun. Midair, she fired three more shots. Upon landing, she rolled to narrowly dodge the incoming bullets, knelt, and fired several more shots. At such close range, Lan Xue hardly needed to aim; each bullet hit its mark.
There were only about twenty enemies who had tried to ambush from the diagonal; Lan Xue cleaned them up swiftly with her shots. She quickly moved to a wounded soldier shot in the thigh. The bullet had torn a large chunk of flesh, debilitating him. His face was pale, his forehead sweating profusely. Lan Xue asked him with concern, "Can you hold on?"
"It's a minor issue." The soldier, inspired by the stunning Lan Xue, roared with newfound strength, flipped over to lie on the ground, quickly aid his gun forward, and started to fire desperately while yelling, "Co on, bastards!"
Lan Xue watched the soldier coldly, her eyes filled with worry. She jumped to another wounded soldier, shot in the abdon. Blood was gushing out; the bullet had pierced through the bullet-resistant vest. Had the vest not provided so protection, he would likely have been dead by now.
This wounded soldier stared blankly at Lan Xue, a tremble in his pale lips forming a smile. Yet, this smile carried endless sorrow. Blood dribbled from his mouth, clearly indicating his end was near. Lan Xue quickly pulled out a first aid kit to stop the bleeding, but noticed the soldier's blood-soaked hand feebly lift as if to say sothing before falling powerlessly. His head tilted; he was gone, his eyes wide with unfulfilled desire and resentnt.
Lan Xue, who had seen too many such deaths, felt her heart bleed with pain. He was just a kid in his twenties. Gently closing the soldier's eyes, Lan Xue said coldly, "Brother, don't rush ahead. Watch over us from above. I promise to avenge you."
Releasing her hand, she let the soldier's eyes close gently in eternal rest, his soul loyal and undying.
"Aargh!" Lan Xue let out a ferocious roar, her murderous intent exploding all around, chilling the air as though her icy vengeance had frozen it solid. This roar startled everyone, who suddenly understood and turned with grim expressions. Backed by resounding roars, they charged forward ferociously.
"Let's go for it, ti for revenge," bellowed the captain of the fourth team hysterically.
"Let's go for it." Everyone roared in anger, their guns roaring as they gunned down the approaching enemy.
"Co back, this is an order!" Luo Zheng watched as his soldiers, disregarding their lives and losing control of their emotions, bled from his heart and shouted through the headset.
