After doing all this, Luo Zheng swiftly jumped down into the cave below and lay flat on the ground, still, with his ears pricked up. His cold gaze quickly surveyed his surroundings, realizing he was in a cave passage with unknown exits on both sides. It was eerily quiet with no one around. Dim light bulbs hung on the walls. Unsure of what was real, Luo Zheng picked a direction and walked quickly forward.

After a while, the passage ahead widened a bit. Soon, Luo Zheng ca across a cavernous room, dimly lit and containing unknown objects, with a wooden door secured by a large lock and unguarded. He slipped past, but suddenly heard footsteps behind him. The passage continued ahead with nowhere to hide. Startled, Luo Zheng quickly pulled out Tiger Teeth and picked the lock open, darting through the door.

At that mont, five ard militants walked by, slinging guns and looking half-asleep, yawning as they ford a line and sauntered on. Luo Zheng peeked through the door crack, speculating they were a patrol team and patiently began to observe the room.

The room was over a hundred square ters large and filled with many crates. Luo Zheng used Tiger Teeth to pry open a crate and discovered it was full of ammunition. He was shocked to find himself in an ammo depot. His cold gaze flickered with a hint of thrill. If he blew up the depot, he believed the entire underground cave would collapse, and Kuntai would surely be furious.

However, before being certain that Lan Xue was in the underground cave, Luo Zheng dared not act. He waited a while, ensuring the coast was clear before erging. At the door, he marked a simple symbol with Tiger Teeth and continued sneaking along the cave. Soon, he arrived at another room.

Curious, Luo Zheng picked the lock and pushed the door open, only to find it stacked with rice and other supplies. Losing interest, he left and moved on, seeing two guards at a fork ahead. Startled, he hesitated, wondering whether to continue exploring or to retreat. Gritting his teeth, he pushed forward; without finding Lan Xue, Luo Zheng would not give up easily.

The two guards noticed the approaching Luo Zheng and instantly beca alert. One of them shouted sothing unintelligible. Seeing them reach for guns, Luo Zheng, with a swift motion, threw Tiger Teeth, and his body pounced forward like a cheetah, his eyes flaring with a chilling glint.

One soldier couldn't raise his gun in ti before the sharp Tiger Teeth stabbed him in the forehead, causing him to fall stiffly backward. The other, panicking, managed to raise his gun only to find it forcefully snatched away, his face turning pale with fright. Then, feeling a tightness around his neck, he knew no more.

In that critical mont, Luo Zheng's attack was extraordinarily powerful. After dispatching the two n, Luo Zheng pulled Tiger Teeth from the body, stored it carefully, and propped one body against the cave wall to mimic a sleeping appearance. With no place to hide the bodies, he resigned to fate, picked a direction, and rushed forward.

He soon encountered two more rooms. Luo Zheng, not wanting to waste ti, broke the locks and entered each to check; finding only supplies, he continued forward. Reaching a dead end, he had to turn back. Having already killed, he was at risk of exposure at any mont. Ti was of the essence, he had to find Lan Xue quickly.

As he ran back, Luo Zheng saw the two dead guards still leaning against the wall, one of them on the ground, the floor stained with blood. Ignoring the sight, he rushed to another passage, only to be startled by an approaching patrol team. Luo Zheng ca to an abrupt stop, leaned against the cave wall, and swiftly drew out Tiger Teeth.

The patrol team looked drowsy and half-awake, as if they hadn't shaken off sleep yet. Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief; a direct charge would surely be noticed, and once they started shooting, it would spell trouble. Hence, Luo Zheng slowly retreated to the entrance of the branching tunnel and hid on the side, his palms sweaty around Tiger Teeth, his heart pounding rapidly.

Soon, the patrol approached. Luo Zheng pressed tightly against the cave wall, ears perked, gauging the distance between himself and the enemy. Just as they neared the entrance, Luo Zheng suddenly burst forth. Tiger Teeth, swinging through the dim Void, sliced a bright, cold arc, slashing a gaping wound across a target's neck, blood spurting out like a fountain.

After that swift move, Luo Zheng didn't pause but stepped forward, Tiger Teeth unhesitatingly opening a similar gash in another ard man's neck. By then, the remaining three ard n were jolted awake, their faces terror-stricken. They scrambled for their guns—guns that were slung over their backs and took ti to draw.

For Luo Zheng, that interval was a perfect opportunity to strike. With a forceful thrust of his feet, his body shot forward like a cannonball, knocking the third ard man flying and toppling the fourth. The fifth man hastily retreated, not hit but not spared either as Tiger Teeth flew, striking him precisely between the eyebrows.

Luo Zheng allowed no delay, pouncing like a starved wolf, snapping another combatant's neck. He then glanced up to see the fifth man's body tipping backward. He breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the fourth man who, terrified, was pallid and scrambling backwards.

With a "snap," Luo Zheng twisted his neck, stepped forward, and pulled out Tiger Teeth. With five bodies that couldn't be hidden and little ti to spare, Luo Zheng didn't dare linger and rushed forward, spotting a cave room and forcing open a large lock to check inside.

The room, void of people, was filled with stacks of supplies that emitted a strange odor, seemingly narcotics. Luo Zheng ignored them, continued to dash forward, his heart burning with urgency, his mind flooded with images of Lan Xue. After checking two more rooms full of supplies yet void of Lan Xue, he reached a dead end.

Luo Zheng speedily retreated to the branching entry, the dead bodies still there, unnoticed and unchanged. Hence, he persisted forward, soon reaching a room used as an ammunition dump. He paused briefly then continued his charge. He couldn't make a move until he was sure whether Lan Xue was in the cave.

He swiftly reached the point where he had descended earlier, following the passageway further. The cave ahead was quiet, only dimly lit, moths incessantly hitting the bulbs, no sign of anyone around. Luo Zheng gritted his teeth and pressed on, praying silently he would find Lan Xue.

Suddenly, another five-man patrol appeared ahead. Luo Zheng, alard, hastily pressed against the cave wall, looking back for a hiding spot. There was none, and if he didn't withdraw imdiately, he was certain to be discovered. With no clues about Lan Xue, what to do?

Thinking of Lan Xue, Luo Zheng gritted his teeth, his eyes fiercely set on the approaching patrol. Without hesitation, he charged wildly forward. He vowed not to stop until he found Lan Xue.
