The robber was too slow to respond, and in his panic, he tried to use his gun to block, but his movents were still half a beat too late. The fruit knife swiftly sliced open the robber's throat, spraying out a streak of blood. Luo Zheng, having succeeded, rolled to the ground, just narrowly avoiding several bullets and breaking out in a cold sweat.
Hearing Lan Xue's gun roaring, Luo Zheng dared not hesitate, rolling towards another robber, grabbing the man's leg and hurling him at the shooting robbers, then quickly getting up. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Lan Xue firing with an icy expression, motionless, like a War Goddess, providing him cover.
One provided covering fire, the other engaged in close-quarters combat. Such tactical coordination was powerful, yet the person providing fire support was in grave danger. Luo Zheng dared not delay any longer, darting towards another person, his hand opened wide in a claw-like shape, aiming directly for the opponent's throat.
This robber swung his gun in a panic, sweeping towards Luo Zheng, who caught the gun and exerted force, causing the robber's balance to fail, and he fell forward. Luo Zheng grabbed him and used him as a shield, ready to cut his throat, when, at that mont, "pop pop" several bullets hit the robber's body, killing him instantly, turning him into a human shield.
Luo Zheng secretly felt fortunate for his lucky instinct to use the man as a shield; otherwise, it might have been him who was dead. Angrily using the body as a cover, he charged forward, bellowing, "Kill!"
Dashing a few steps forward, Luo Zheng furiously threw the human shield at another robber who was ready to shoot, then lunged at a robber nearby. This robber was tough too, smashing his gun towards Luo Zheng, who did not dodge at all, grabbed the gun, and pounced, punching straight in the face.
"Bang." The fists collided, making a dull sound. Luo Zheng stood unfazed, while the robber staggered back several steps, steadying himself against a wall, his arm throbbing with intense pain, as if it was no longer his own. To his horror, he saw that Luo Zheng had already used another robber as a shield, so he quickly pulled out a communicator with his unwounded hand, pressing the distress signal.
Seeing Luo Zheng unleash his might, killing to his heart's content, Lan Xue too felt an itch in her hands, and rushed over. The gun was no longer suitable, so she simply threw it at soone and, like a cheetah, charged at a robber. Afraid of shooting their own, the robbers abandoned their guns and closed in together.
Close-quarters combat was exactly what Luo Zheng and Lan Xue hoped for. If so of the robbers had taken cover to shoot from afar, they might have injured the two, but now that they were all rushing in, the duo was delighted, showing no rcy as they fought without the concern of bullets, their combat power soaring.
Lan Xue let out a fierce cry, her hands moving fast as lightning, unpredictable, swiftly taking down two n to the ground. Luo Zheng's killing intent was high, and his movents beca faster, like a ghost weaving through the crowd. Every move he made took soone down, blood spurting from their throats and their eyes wide with terror, dying with eyes staring open in horror.
In a short while, all the robbers were killed. Lan Xue found herself with a clear view, looking around to see no one left standing, and she hastily said, "Quick." She picked up a gun and rushed towards the cockpit.
Luo Zheng followed without wasting words. They reached the cockpit and saw that the door was open from the inside. Luo Zheng gestured for Lan Xue to step aside and sprayed the door lock with gunfire. After Luo Zheng stopped shooting, Lan Xue charged and broke the door open with a crash, rushing forward and decisively firing upon seeing several masked robbers.
"Bang bang bang!" Luo Zheng also fired decisively, but only managed two shots before the robbers could react; they were swiftly dealt with by Lan Xue. Luo Zheng envied her impressive quick-draw skills and considered asking her for lessons when he had the opportunity.
Only a few crew mbers were left in the cockpit. They were baffled by the sudden appearance of Luo Zheng and Lan Xue, and then seeing the dead robbers, they were at a loss. Luo Zheng saw one of them reaching for a gun, and without hesitation, he shot them in the head, bursting it open, and commanded coldly, "Turn the rudder, back to Huaxia Country."
"Okay." The driver, seeing Luo Zheng as a killing god, finally ca to his senses. A first officer approached and said, "I'm the first officer here, what exactly happened? May I ask who you are?"
Luo Zheng looked at him coldly, noting the man's eager eyes that did not seem to be of soone in the know, but to ensure full safety, Luo Zheng still commanded fiercely, "This is a hijack, set course for Huaxia Country."
"Ah?" The first officer was even more bewildered, staring at Luo Zheng in surprise.
Luo Zheng was getting angry, shouted loudly, "What are you looking at? Move it." His gun aid straight at him.
"Uh?" Seeing Luo Zheng's bad temper and thinking of the masked person already shot dead on the ground, no one dared to resist and they all began to act.
"Bang!" Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.
Luo Zheng turned around in surprise to see that it was Lan Xue who had fired the shot. The first officer slumped to the ground, a gun appearing in his hand which then fell to the floor. Lan Xue said with disdain, "Looking for death, I will oblige you." Her gun aid at the others, she said to Luo Zheng, "These hijackers were here to protect the cockpit from being assaulted, not all the drivers might be in on it, but the first officer definitely was. He just tried to make a move against you."
The drivers, completely unaware of what had happened, looked at Luo Zheng and Lan Xue in panic, with one of them gathering the courage to ask, "What do you want to do?"
"Your boss has hijacked the ship and taken everyone on board hostage. As crew mbers, you might be ignorant, but you're still accomplices. If you want to live, behave and set sail for Huaxia Country imdiately," Luo Zheng ordered coldly.
"Ah?" All the crew mbers were shocked, their expressions growing serious. They each took their places, fearing that Luo Zheng and Lan Xue, these two gods of death, would not hesitate to kill.
An older crew mber said, "We're just staff, following the scheduled route and fulfilling our duties, not privy to this. Please, don't harm us."
"Return to Huaxia Country and we can talk. Otherwise, I'm afraid everyone here might have to die," Luo Zheng said coldly. Song Yan had laid out such a large sche, it couldn't be simple; conspiring with Japanese pirates, kidnapping tourists, these cris were too serious. Even if the Song family was imnsely powerful, they couldn't cover this up. There were no shortage of astute people on the cruise ship who would notice sothing fishy. Song Yan must have a way to deal with the aftermath, and the best way was to kill—the dead can't speak, any flaw or clue would be erased then and there.
Suddenly, hurried footsteps approached—it must be the hijackers. Giving Lan Xue a look, they both hurried out just in ti to see the hijackers arriving at the passage leading to the cockpit. Both opened fire, forcing the hijackers to retreat.
