The narrow space, the monotonous life, in such an environnt, after a long ti, one either goes mad or becos foolish. The ones who survive are those with great perseverance. Luo Zheng, compared to the other prisoners, was missing one thing—ti outdoors. Don't underestimate this simple activity, as it can uplift spirits and soothe the mind. If it weren't for the training and reading, Luo Zheng didn't know if he could have endured.

He didn't know how long he had been in this place—a month? Two months? The enclosed prison had no indication of day or night, and he had no way of telling how long he had stayed. Eating, sleeping—life couldn't get simpler. Luo Zheng had been constantly thinking about how to escape but hadn't found an opportunity. Unexpectedly, today he had received an unexpected piece of news: there was a fellow inmate being held here. Although the inmate was older and had a paralyzed leg, it was still uplifting news, and Luo Zheng felt his irritable heart stabilize significantly.

However, a new problem lay before him, how to et with the other man to discuss escaping. Ti had passed so long, and Lan Xue and the others hadn't found this place, indicating that the prison was exceptionally concealed, and Song Yan had also gone into hiding. He had to save himself, but how?

Thinking this, Luo Zheng's emotions, which had cald, began to agitate again. A flicker of light caught his eye from the thick, hardcover psychology book by his bed, brightening his outlook. Combining this with so of his preliminary ideas, a bold plan started to form in his mind. The plan was extrely risky—if it failed, he might be beaten to death; if it succeeded, it was only a step forward. The risks outweighed the benefits; it wasn't an ideal plan.

Luo Zheng analyzed the plan carefully for a while. It was indeed risky, but there was no better alternative. Continuing to wait might not present any opportunity. Rather than waiting to die here, he'd rather take a gamble. The soldier's blood and aggressive ntality surged up—it was just death at worst; he'd fight it out.

Once he had made up his mind, Luo Zheng's agitated heart settled down. He continued training, waiting for the right mont. Each punch to the sandbag filled with iron sand sunk in several inches. His arm quickly retracted before punching out again, like a cannonball shot out, then retracted quickly and repeatedly, his strength imnsely powerful.

"Thud, thud, thud!" Luo Zheng continued to rapidly hit the sandbag, occasionally using his knee to strike. With the opportunity of an escape in mind, he felt greatly lifted, and the force of his training increased sowhat. Before he knew it, he was drenched in sweat. During the striking, Luo Zheng felt his physical strength depleting rapidly and soon stopped. He showered, lay on his bed, and rested to recover his strength.

This extre training thod exhausted his vigor each ti, but he could recover using the "Breathing Skill" passed down through his family. Each recovery seed to increase his strength a little. During this period, Luo Zheng had keenly discovered this, and his training efforts were relentless, aiming to quickly enhance his capabilities.

About two hours later, Luo Zheng felt his strength fully restored, his muscles imbued with an inexhaustible force—an invigorating feeling. Thinking that it was ti to make a move, he picked up the thick, hardcover psychology book and went to the door, quietly flipping through it, waiting.

Before long, the old man who delivered als ca by. Luo Zheng squatted down to receive the bowl. After so many days, everyone was accustod to it. The al delivery man suspected nothing and placed the bowl by the door. At that mont, Luo Zheng moved like lightning, grabbing the old man's wrist and yanking hard, causing the old man to collide with the door. Just as the old man was about to cry out, Luo Zheng's other hand covered his mouth, his eyes filled with terror.

Luo Zheng coldly said, "Don't move, don't make a sound, or I won't be polite."

The old man moaned, but no sound ca out. Luo Zheng said coldly, "Don't touch, I won't hurt you, but you must cooperate. Blink if you agree." Seeing the old man desperately blinking, Luo Zheng slowly released his hand from covering the old man's mouth but grabbed the other hand tighter.

"Don't kill ," the old man pleaded in a frightened whisper.

"Relax, I need your cooperation. After success, you will be rewarded; if it fails, you can disengage without any harm," Luo Zheng said coldly, his sharp eyes locking onto the old man, ready to act ruthlessly if anything seed wrong. In such a perilous situation, one had to be extra cautious.

Perhaps sensing Luo Zheng's good intentions, the old man quickly cald down. Being imprisoned in such a jail ant he was no ordinary person. He whispered, "Just tell how to cooperate."

"Scream for help! The mont I release your hand, run that way," Luo Zheng instructed coldly. He chose to make the old man cooperate instead of taking him hostage directly because he hoped for future collaboration, like passing ssages. In such a place, having more friends than enemies was far better.

"Help !" Uncertain of Luo Zheng's exact plan but clearly understanding one thing—if Luo Zheng made a move and he did not cooperate, his life would be at risk—the old man quickly complied and shouted loudly. His fearful cries for help attracted the attention of all nearby prisoners, who curiously watched the scene, unable to understand Luo Zheng's play but excited nonetheless, banging on the iron doors and roaring, relishing the rare excitent in their dull surroundings.

"Beat him to death, beat him to death," the prisoners shouted, not understanding the situation and joining in the commotion, soon forming a rhythmic chant, venting their pent-up frustrations. Everyone had been bottled up for too long and seized the opportunity to let it all out. The noise echoed through the prison, with prisoners from upstairs and downstairs not understanding but not hesitating to join in the blind ruckus.

Suddenly, a team of riot police stord in. Luo Zheng used the old man as a shield, keeping himself hidden behind him. The doorway was already narrow, and the police outside, ard and cautious, hesitated for a long ti looking for a chance to act, wary of Luo Zheng potentially lashing out and causing harm, so they didn't dare to charge in directly to seize him.

Luo Zheng actually hoped they would rush in to seize him so he could take a police officer hostage, giving him a real bargaining chip for negotiations. The police not advancing was also within his expectations. Luo Zheng wasn't in a hurry and commanded coldly, "Nobody move, call your leader over."

The police had witnessed Luo Zheng kill a muscular man with a single punch and another bald man whom he beat to death and threw down into the courtyard; knowing that an enraged Luo Zheng was capable of anything, they exchanged wary glances. Soon, a police leader bravely stepped forward, stopping more than a ter away from the prison door, also daring not to co too close. With a stern face, he said, "I'm the team leader. What do you want?"

Luo Zheng gauged the distance of the officer and chuckled coldly. He took a thick hardcover psychology book that he had been clamping tightly with his thighs, suddenly swung it with all his might through the slot in the iron door, sending the book spinning into the police officer's ankle bone. The officer was shocked, his body involuntarily leaning forward.
