"Boom, boom, boom!" Three ard helicopters suddenly appeared in view, their propellers whirring rapidly in the setting sun, striking a particularly incongruous note as they bore down with an overwhelming aura of lethality. The sea's surface shimred, a vast expanse with no end in sight. Dressed in a police uniform and blended within the crowd of police impersonators, Luo Zheng watched this scene and felt no worry. As long as Sam Country didn't launch a direct assault, they all still had a chance to maneuver and cling to a sliver of life.
Before long, the ard helicopters approached and abruptly opened fire, revealing themselves as the unveiling demons. Bullets poured down like rain, their dense roar, completely unabashed, emitted a soul-crushing aura of murder, striking around the deck and creating a cacophony of clangs as sparks flew in every direction.
"Hiss?" Luo Zheng saw that the reinforcents had begun with a clearing barrage, just as the madman had speculated. Thankfully, the bullets were aid around the periter and did not strike the crowds near the impersonating officers. His expression darkening, Luo Zheng watched two rockets whistle out from one of the helicopters, tracing a deadly fiery path before violently crashing into a room on the deck.
"Boom!" Two huge explosions erupted, and the room was instantly devoured by the rising red flas. The three M61 Vulcan cannons mounted on the helicopters roared continuously. Developed by Sam Country's military and commonly fitted on fighter jets and helicopters, this high-rate-of-fire, close-range cannon system had a maximum rate of fire of 7,200 rounds per minute. In practice, it could operate in 4,000- and 6,000-rounds-per-minute modes.
20mm caliber bullets, six-barreled rotary firing, three guns blazing simultaneously, nearly 20,000 rounds per minute rained down like a sudden deluge, instantly covering the entire abandoned carrier deck, leaving it in shambles. Added to the continual barrage of rocket fire, there wasn't a single intact spot left on the deck. Fortunately, the position where the police were located remained undisturbed.
The madman watched this scene in horror, his complexion slightly changing. It was his first ti witnessing such ferocious weaponry, and he couldn't help but turn to Luo Zheng. Noticing that Luo Zheng's expression was unchanged, as if he had seen it all before, the madman realized that much had changed in the outside world during his thirty years in prison. He couldn't help but ask, "Such fierce firepower. Does our country have weapons this formidable?"
"Almost," Luo Zheng said with a smile, secretly relieved. He was thankful for having the snipers withdraw earlier; otherwise, nobody would have escaped the sweeping gunfire unscathed. However, as long as the reinforcents did not attack the impersonating officers, Luo Zheng's mood improved significantly. Seeing the madman's envious look, he explained, "That thing is called the M61 Vulcan cannon. It aligns with Sam Country's philosophy of victory through superior weaponry. Our country's combat strategy still revolves around people, so naturally, our weapons differ as well. Two different philosophies, with no right or wrong. On the battlefield, it ultimately cos down to tactical deploynt."
"Just like now," the madman chuckled, adjusting his mindset and stepping out from under the shadow of the terrifying firepower. He watched the three helicopters continue to circle the abandoned carrier in a triangular formation. When one of them flew to the stern and dropped ropes, he couldn't help but continue, "Their weapons are indeed formidable, but they definitely haven't figured out that the police are imposters. Otherwise, they would have opened fire by now. It's your show next."
"Uh." Luo Zheng also noticed the descent of Sam Country's reinforcents. The other two helicopters maintained a covering position. The fake police officers were crouching on the ground, holding their heads, appearing scared, but internally they were greatly impressed with Luo Zheng's tactics. As for the other snipers responsible for guarding these fake officers, they had all run beneath the carrier to take cover and await orders when the helicopters launched their attack, everything proceeding according to plan.
On the deck, Luo Zheng had Jeff gather a lot of cooking oil and other flammable materials. Under the intense gunfire, these supplies had ignited, creating billowing black smoke that spread around the area. The descending soldiers, ard and ready, were wary of the smoke, but they needed to push on with the rescue.
Luo Zheng watched as the descending Sam Country's reinforcents didn't imdiately attack, but instead quickly took defensive positions, seizing the high ground. The other two helicopters also began to descend. A few minutes later, a total of fifteen people had co down from the three helicopters and scattered. The helicopters spread out, hovering around the abandoned carrier to maintain a vigilant watch with their firepower.
"Prepare," Luo Zheng whispered, and the fake officers around him tensed up, readying themselves for action.
In the sky, three ard helicopters continuously fired upon suspicious positions. Fifteen fully-ard reinforcents approached from the stern, encountering no resistance. They quickly seized the high ground, blocking the entryway below. Their movents were swift and decisive, clearly pre-planned.
"Wait a mont," Luo Zheng yelled, the firepower from Sam Country's reinforcents was incredibly fierce, bullets raining down like a storm, the noise too deafening for the ears, unbearably uncomfortable. Covering their ears was essential, and communication was only possible by shouting.
Luo Zheng slightly raised his head to look at the two snipers who had taken the vantage point, his expression darkening. If they didn't take out the snipers, any resistance would an certain death. But with Sam Country's reinforcents already arriving and beginning their assault on the entrance, there was no ti to hesitate. What to do?
"Jeff, do we have a sniper?" the madman, also dressed as a police officer and blending into the crowd, shouted at Jeff after witnessing the scene, his brows furrowed and his expression grave.
"We have two," Jeff quickly responded, keeping a cautious eye on his surroundings,
"Have the snipers focus fire on those two controlling the high ground. Everyone else, prepare for combat and pass the orders along," the madman shouted.
People nearby heard the madman's call and imdiately relayed the ssage aloud to those next to them. Soon, the order was passed down, and everyone quietly drew their handguns, chambered a round—not noticed by the assaulting reinforcents too preoccupied with the entrance and the concealnt of the fake police work.
After a while, Luo Zheng noticed that three of the reinforcents had rushed to the entrance, throwing grenades inside, while five were in ambush nearby, with two at the high ground aiming towards the entrance, and another five hurried over without pointing their guns down, showing no hostility.
Seizing the rare opportunity, Luo Zheng, with a plan in mind, bellowed, "Jeff, take out the approaching five reinforcents. Snipers, suppress the enemies at the high ground. Send a few to sneak an attack from behind. The rest follow to take down the enemies at the entrance. Everyone, get ready."
"Yes," Jeff shouted back, understanding. He swiftly exchanged glances with so of his n, who nodded knowingly. Jeff looked to a few others and signaled them with hand gestures; they nodded in comprehension. Everyone turned their gazes toward Luo Zheng, their faces ablaze with the will to fight, waiting for the final attack command.
