"Kill!" Luo Zheng bellowed, venting all the pent-up fury in his heart. His voice overpowered the surrounding gunfire, reaching the ears of all who were disguised as police officers. Everyone's spirits lifted, and they suddenly surged forward towards their target; their pistols fired in unison. Despite being pistols, they were deadly at close range, especially with the surprise and intensity of the firefight, instantly wounding five approaching rescuers and knocking them to the ground. So scrambled to disarm the wounded, but many others followed Luo Zheng towards the exit.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Over twenty pistols fired almost simultaneously, targeting the auxiliary forces hiding near the entrance. These forces had not anticipated the police to fight back. Coupled with the lack of cover around, two at the door and five nearby were shot down and quickly subdued by the attackers.
As for the high-ground reinforcents, although they detected the anomaly, they couldn't even raise their heads due to the barrage of bullets. Soon, a few criminals flanked them from behind, and after several exchanges of fire, they too were subdued; one was killed and another captured.
The battle was as sudden as it was brief, ending in just under a minute. More than thirty well-trained, ard criminals, disguised as police officers, had wounded and subdued fifteen equally trained auxiliary forces. Luo Zheng, seeing the smooth progress, couldn't help but roar in joy, "Quick, take the prisoners downstairs and lock them up."
"Yes," all criminals shouted in response, efficiently taking down fifteen auxiliary forces from Sam Country. Luo Zheng's command skills and ability to seize the mont earned everyone's utter respect—no one objected. This battle gave everyone a glimpse of hope for survival. In pairs, they quickly carried the wounded forces downstairs.
Luo Zheng watched the smoke rise above and three helicopters circling, occasionally firing at suspicious spots. The dense smoke obscured their view and hid everyone's movents. Luo Zheng laughed—his laugh full of murderous intent—as did the madman beside him, who said, "Their weapons are indeed superior, but their tactics are ordinary, not intricate enough to defeat us. Our country's 'human-centric' approach proves superior to the 'weapon-centric' notion. Mr. Mao was right, on the battlefield, the decisive factor isn't the weapons; it's the people. Weapons are inert, people are alive."
"Is that so? Does Mr. Mao really hold such a view?" Luo Zheng asked curiously. Just then, an ard helicopter rushed over. The wind from its rotors dispersed the smoke, and it opened fire, having spotted sothing. Luo Zheng was startled and quickly pulled the madman with him into the underground access way.
The stairwell was crowded with exuberant criminals. Upon seeing Luo Zheng, they stepped aside to clear a path for him. Just then, Jeff hurried over, saluting Luo Zheng formally as a sign of respect. The others saluted fervently, their eyes filled with zeal. At this mont, everyone truly acknowledged Luo Zheng's leadership.
The auxiliary forces of Sam Country approached with killing intent, their fierce firepower ravaging the carrier deck beyond recognition. Had everyone hidden for an ambush, there would have been no survivors. Fortunately, Luo Zheng had adjusted the deploynt just in ti, bringing everyone down to safety.
Moreover, the timing of the disguise and the attack was impeccably handled: too early and they would've been exposed to the helicopter's strafing; too late and they would've failed just the sa. Luo Zheng allowed the auxiliary forces to attack, using the dense smoke to hide from the helicopters. The enemy, successful in their assault, beca careless. When our forces struck, it was too sudden for them to defend against, especially since they were exposed and close by, making victory inevitable.
Luo Zheng nodded in acknowledgent, looked at Jeff who quickly reported, "One auxiliary soldier died, the rest are just wounded, but their lives aren't in danger for now. What should we do next?"
Everyone turned their attention to Luo Zheng. The next decision would affect their lives, so it was of great concern. Luo Zheng glanced at the crowd, a confident smile spreading across his face. With these auxiliary forces from Sam Country in hand, the incident couldn't be concealed anymore. He spoke loudly, "With the auxiliary forces of Sam Country as our prisoners, Sam Country can't cover this up anymore. If the Sam Country Governnt still decides to bomb us with missiles, then we're just out of luck."
Everyone chuckled, their faces showing an indifferent expression. If there were no reinforcents, they could have just bombed with missiles, and no one would know what happened. They could easily cover it up with any excuse. Now that reinforcents had co and were captured by them, Sam Country might not care about the prisoners and police's lives but had to consider the lives of the reinforcents. It wasn't that the lives of the reinforcents were valuable, but such actions would definitely be exposed, with too great a cost to bear.
"Let's talk about what we do next? We'll all follow your lead," Jeff said with a smile. Having the reinforcents as hostages ant the situation couldn't be kept under wraps any longer, which significantly increased their chances of survival, thrilling Jeff.
"Hold our position and wait for help. There should still be so food here. As long as we hold out for about a week, the affair will blow up completely. By then, Sam Country won't be able to conceal the truth and will have to negotiate with us. Also, the warden, to prevent us from sending out ssages, destroyed the communication equipnt. "I do," a thin young man stepped forward.
"Good, ask for whatever you need. As long as we have the communication equipnt, we can send a ssage back, even if it's just a last will. Therefore, the responsibility on your shoulders is heavy," Luo Zheng earnestly instructed. Seeing the other nod, he turned to Jeff and continued, "Jeff, support him with whatever he needs. Delaying will disadvantage us; we must send the ssage out as soon as possible."
"Understood," Jeff readily agreed. As long as the news that he was still alive got back, Jeff believed his country would send soone to rescue them. No one wanted to die if they could live. He imdiately signaled a subordinate, who quickly gathered a few people and followed the thin man.
"Report, the ard helicopter has left," a prisoner responsible for watching the entrance shouted loudly.
The news that the helicopter had left brought great joy to Luo Zheng and excitent to the others. Even though it was only a temporary safety and Sam Country could send more people to attack at any ti, everyone was indifferent and looked towards Luo Zheng, waiting for his command.
"The helicopter has left, and definitely, the main force will attack next," Madman reminded from the side.
An attack by the main force could be either a long-range strike or a direct assault on ship, but regardless of the thod, both were unfavorable to them. Luo Zheng, after thinking for a mont, looked at Jeff and ordered coldly, "Take your n and imdiately seize a strategic position. As soon as there's an enemy attack, open fire."
"Yes," Jeff responded without hesitation, his killing intent surging.
