The helicopter flew for a solid two hours, landing in a bustling city on the border before switching to a business jet to continue their journey. The helicopter couldn't cross international borders, but the business jet could apply for flights under various pretenses. Of course, all these arrangents didn't need Luo Zheng's attention; the base's commander Wu Jin would handle everything. After more than four hours, the business jet decreased its altitude, specially modified so its cabin floor opened to reveal a hatch. Everyone, equipped with parachutes, didn't hesitate to jump down, quickly creating plus of white clouds that seed trivial under the cover of night.
Minutes later, they landed in a dark, prival forest. Luo Zheng found himself caught in a tree and had no choice but to pull out his Tiger Teeth knife to cut the ropes, falling through midair and rolling twice upon landing. He quickly got up and looked around, but it was pitch-black and he could see nothing. Luo Zheng swiftly packed away his parachute and saw a bright tactical flashlight shining towards the void ahead, waving in circles—a pre-arranged rendezvous signal.
Luo Zheng quickly checked his equipnt, relieved that nothing was missing. He took out his own tactical flashlight from his backpack and hurried toward the source of the light, navigating through trees and dense bushes on the groundless forest floor. Fortunately, the lit area was not far, and soon Luo Zheng saw Lan Xue waving the flashlight, concernedly asking, "Are you all right?"
"I'm fine, what about you?" Lan Xue asked with relief upon seeing it was Luo Zheng. The parachuting altitude was just a kiloter, but landing in a prival forest at night was honestly very dangerous. One could easily end up falling off a cliff or into a pit, unable to get out. If the lights didn't gather everyone, they would only be able to communicate via headsets, slowly figuring out each other's coordinates until daylight.
Lan Xue hadn't expected Luo Zheng to be the first to arrive and was very happy. As Luo Zheng approached, she continued, "The other three haven't arrived yet; let's make a fire first. It's pitch-black here, we can't even see our hands in front of us, and there's no telling when they will arrive. We'll camp here tonight."
"That works, Luo Zheng replied nonchalantly, yelling into the headset, "Guys, can you hear ?"
"Yeah, this place is like Dark Hell, I can't see a thing, and even the moon is hiding. Thank goodness for flashlights, otherwise, we'd be in real trouble," Ghost Hand complained, though his spirits were high.
Soon, Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard also responded, aning everyone was not far apart. Luo Zheng, unsure of everyone's exact locations and without coordinates, instructed them to stay put and look for the lights. He quickly drew his Sword Dragon Tooth, chopped so dry wood, gathered so dead grass, pulled out a special lighter, and within minutes, had ignited a campfire.
Lan Xue climbed a large tree, standing on high to wave her flashlight, ensuring everyone saw the light before sliding back down to help gather more wood, making the fire burn stronger. They were still far from their destination, surrounded by towering peaks and dense trees, making it unlikely for them to be discovered.
About ten minutes later, Ghost Hand and the others arrived. They set their backpacks aside, sat by the fire clutching their weapons—as a rule of survival, they never left their weapons behind on the battlefield. Lan Xue looked at everyone, her expression turned solemn, and she spoke in a low voice, "Our mission starts now, and the difficulty level is high. Everyone has seen the relevant files; now, let's discuss how we're going to fight this battle."
"Our combat style is different from Sam Country's; they have vast logistical and intelligence systems and can make tactical decisions based on real-ti intelligence. Our information is a week old. We need to maintain communication silence as much as possible during the operation to avoid detection, lacking real-ti intelligence, it's not tily to discuss specific tactics. Let's talk about strategic decisions instead, Ghost is more adept at this," Snow Leopard said quietly, glancing solemnly at Luo Zheng.
"Snow Leopard Brother is right. Before we have sufficient information, we must rely on reacting to situations as they arise, since our information warfare capabilities cannot match other superpowers. We don't have access to real-ti intelligence. Strategically, the Terrorist Organization has a training camp; we don't know how many more or their locations, including other combat or logistical bases—honestly, apart from the training camp, we almost know nothing. It's difficult to grasp this strategy. Ghost, what do you think?" Ghost Hand asked approvingly.
"The specifics of the Terrorist Organization are unclear, and we don't even know where the target is. The information we hold is very limited. It's not just about combat tactics; we also can't even devise a combat strategy. All we can do is sneak in quietly, capture a few and find out what's going on," Luo Zheng said sowhat helplessly.
"No specific strategic deploynt then?" Ghost Hand asked sowhat helplessly.
"Not really; it depends on whether you guys are willing to take a big risk with ," Luo Zheng said with a smile.
"Why not?" Ghost Hand said nonchalantly.
"What's the big deal?" Snow Leopard and Mountain Eagle also looked at Luo Zheng, their faces expressing indifference. Having been through mountains of corpses and seas of blood, there was really nothing they were afraid of trying.
Lan Xue, seeing Luo Zheng looking at her, smiled knowingly and said, "Just put your ideas forward. Being out on a mission, we are not constrained by many rules. Whatever happens, I'll take responsibility. As long as the mission is accomplished, how we do it doesn't matter. But there's one thing—we must not reveal our identities, even if it ans death. That's the bottom line. Everyone's clear on that, no need for to repeat, right?"
"Yes!" everyone stood up and replied, turning to Luo Zheng, waiting eagerly to hear his strategy in such a difficult situation against a formidable enemy.
"My combat strategy is eight words: 'Lure the wolf, drive the tiger, fish in troubled waters.'" Luo Zheng said seriously, analyzing the situation. Seeing that everyone didn't quite understand, he explained, "The people at the Terrorist Organization's training camp are the 'tigers,' and nearby is Arctic Bear Country. The border guards of Arctic Bear Country are the 'wolves.' We'll lure the wolves to deal with the tigers while we stir the waters and then find our target and quickly pull out, completing the mission quietly. What do you think?"
"Hiss?" Everyone listened to Luo Zheng's combat strategy with surprise. This indeed required a lot of courage, not sothing ordinary people would dare to try. One wrong move could lead to disaster. Ghost Hand, full of respect, said, "Ghost, I haven't seen you in months, and your courage has really grown."
"So, guys, what do you think about this strategy?" Luo Zheng smiled lightly, his eyes sparkling with intelligence.
