At dawn, a red sun leapt above the horizon, dispersing the endless darkness, and showers of golden light fell on the vast cold forest, as if draping the green trees in a dazzling garnt. After a night's rest, birds erged from the woods, chirping happily as they flew into the distance to begin their day's foraging. A breeze stirred, causing the green leaves to flutter and undulate like rippling waves. Sunlight filtered through the gaps between the fluttering leaves onto the ground below, forming dappled spots resembling countless flying butterflies, a truly beautiful sight.

In a lush, green valley, suddenly a few people donned in camouflage suits erged, fully ard and hurrying, their faces painted with thick black camouflage that could not conceal the cold murderous intent in their eyes. The group moved quickly in silence. Suddenly, the leader raised his hand, and the team quickly halted and crouched down, vigilantly scanning their surroundings.

A woman approached with a cool voice asking, "What's wrong?" It was Lan Xue.

This team was Luo Zheng and his group, who had retreated and marched through the night. Although there were no signs of pursuers, no one dared to be careless. Leading them was Luo Zheng. He surveyed the towering mountains on both sides that reached into the clouds with wisps of mist at their peaks and bold green trees on their slopes. Two hundred ters ahead, at the base of the mountain, there was a concave cave that seed very dry and appeared to be an ideal spot for a break.

Just as Luo Zheng was about to direct everyone to take refuge in the cave for a rest, suddenly, a drone buzzed past at a low altitude.

Dongfang Zhan watched the drone trace a beautiful arc in the sky and turn back, his expression turning grave. Realizing they had been spotted, he knew it would not be long before the coalition forces caught up. They were in Arctic Bear Country, and escaping safely would not be easy. His expression darkened as he ordered, "Move out, full speed."

The sudden appearance of the drone sank everyone's hearts. They didn't dare to stop, summoning their strength to continue on. Not much further, the valley narrowed, and cliffs appeared on both sides. The group couldn't pause, knowing the drone's presence ant Arctic Bear Country was still in pursuit. Despite the green trees providing so cover, and the lower likelihood of being spotted, no one wanted to take chances.

After about ten more minutes of running, Luo Zheng noticed the cliffs ahead rose over two hundred ters high, and the valley was only about a dozen ters wide. If they were spotted, just one missile would an no one could escape. This terrain was highly disadvantageous for concealnt. However, they had already entered the valley, and turning back was not an option—they had no choice.

"Running like this won't work. If a missile cos, no one can escape," Lan Xue said gravely.

"Yes," Luo Zheng looked up at the circling drone, realizing the likelihood of being discovered was high. He grimaced and said, "According to the map, there's nearly a thousand ters of the canyon left. I'm worried Arctic Bear Country's bombers might be here soon. We're running out of ti. Do you have a better idea?"

Lan Xue, with a cold expression, looked around and said, "We can only climb up. Look at these cliffs, rugged and steep, but the middle part bulges out slightly. If we climb up there, even if a missile hits, it would explode below, and the bulged part would likely shield us from the blast, offering a better chance to survive."

"That makes sense," Luo Zheng assessed the cliff and quickly agreed, pulling out special ropes from his pack. "Give your ropes; I'll go up first." Saying this, he tied one end of his rope around his waist and rapidly started climbing the cliff, agile as a monkey. Luo Zheng had been hunting and climbing since he was young and was very skilled at it. Lan Xue held onto the other end of the rope, quickly taking out her own rope and connecting it, while the others also took out their ropes and connected them to extend the length of the rope.

Several minutes later, Lan Xue saw the drones circling overhead more frequently and knew they were discovered. Her face turned icy cold as she looked at Ghost Hand and the others, who also anxiously looked up at the cliff, waiting. Lan Xue glanced at Luo Zheng, who had already climbed dozens of ters and wanted to urge him on, but she held back.

After a few more minutes, shouts from Luo Zheng ca from above the cliff. Everyone grabbed the secured rope and swiftly climbed up. Ti was life, and no one dared to pause, using every last bit of their energy to climb skillfully upwards.

The sound of fighter jets roared from the horizon, whitening everyone's faces as they hastened their pace. Mountain Eagle slipped at the front, suddenly feeling himself step on the shoulder of Snow Leopard, who was second in line. He stabilized himself without wasting ti to look back and continued to climb.

The roaring grew closer, and everyone knew the fighter jets were almost upon them. With renewed energy, they climbed vigorously and finally reached the protruding platform. They saw Luo Zheng firmly securing the rope. They helped each other, pulling up those behind them. Before they could catch their breath, a fighter jet swooped in, carrying an aura of total annihilation.

The buzzing roar was so intense that it almost burst everyone's eardrums. Luo Zheng saw the drone flying over and his face drastically changed. He quickly signaled everyone to lie down. With their camouflage suits, they were not easy to detect. Whether they could escape the drone's surveillance was unknown. Once down, no one dared move; they opened their mouths wide and blocked their ears with their hands.

"Swoosh!" A sharp whistling sound ca, making everyone slightly lift their heads. A heavy bomb dropped from the fighter jet, tearing through the air barrier like the Death God itself, halting everyone's breath as their muscles tensed and blood seed to freeze, their heart rates spiking with cold sweat pouring out in nervous torrents.

Directly facing the heavy bomb, one could truly understand the terrifying imminence of death. Even the bravest were pale with fear, clutching their ears tightly and praying. Faced with impending death, no one could remain calm.

Watching the heavy bomb plumt closer, the huge device magnified in their pupils, roaring like the Death God. As they saw the bomb graze past the edge of the cliff and plumt downward, they hadn't even the chance to feel relieved.

"Boom!" A massive explosion erupted, shaking the ground and the cliff. Boulders loosened and tumbled down. The powerful shock caused everyone's chests to ache as if they were about to fall. Everyone quickly stood up and scrambled higher, their faces pale and stricken.

Luo Zheng didn't move but stared gravely at the canyon below, which had turned into a sea of fire. Flas and thick smoke billowed into the sky as though countless demons had crawled up from hell, issuing sinister cold laughs, tightening everyone's hearts instinctively as they retreated.

At that mont, everyone noticed Luo Zheng hadn't moved. They, too, stopped and turned back to look at the rising black smoke, their faces even more distressed but their hearts slightly steadier, silently thankful that the worst of the explosion had passed. Fortunately, they had managed to climb the cliff just before the bomb fell. A mont later, and no one would have survived.

Luo Zheng watched the rolling black smoke rise, his face icy cold, eyes wide with rage, and aura seething with fury.
