"Boom!" A massive explosion ripped through the night, sending a ghastly red cloud soaring into the sky, tearing the darkness apart with dazzling light, reflecting the terrified expressions of everyone around. Luo Zheng saw the ard helicopter disintegrated into countless wrecks by the massive blast, scattering debris everywhere. The rotor blades even bisected so people at the waist, sending limbs and flesh flying, their blood-curdling screams eerily resounding in the night.

"Phew!" Luo Zheng clenched his fists, his heart bursting with elation as his gloomy mood was swept away. He had finally got so retribution. He quickly packed up his sniper rifle, ready to retreat, when a colossal sense of danger swept over him. His brow furrowed, a feeling of unease weighing on his heart, his blood as if it had frozen, causing him to shrink down in horror.

"Whoosh!" A sniper bullet flew past, narrowly missing his head. Had he been a fraction of a second slower, he would have been undoubtedly dead. Luo Zheng was shocked, feeling a chill on his back soaked with cold sweat, his forehead also covered with large beads of it. This brush with the Death God was anything but pleasant.

"Are you okay?" Lan Xue asked anxiously.

"I'm fine." Luo Zheng took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, and slowly crawled to the side. Sitting on the ground, he let out a long sigh, releasing all the pent-up tension from his heart, feeling his heartbeat return to normal and his blood flow properly again. He then breathed a sigh of relief; the shot had been dangerously close. He hadn't expected that after just one shot, he would be located by the enemy, and at night no less; the enemy was an expert.

With this thought, Luo Zheng's competitive spirit surged. Looking around, he spotted a slope on one side that wasn't very steep. At the slope, toward the enemy camp, there was a mound of raised earth that soone could crawl behind for cover. Once over the slope, there was a depression below where the enemy sniper would not be able to reach.

Luo Zheng thought for a mont, then decided not to crawl over. Instead, he took off his bulletproof helt and gently tossed it in the direction of the slope at a low speed, making it seem from a distance like soone was quickly crawling over with the helt on.

"Bang!" In the darkness, a sniper bullet whistled through the air and hit the raised earth accurately. The bullet pierced through the mound and struck the bulletproof helt, knocking it far away and sending it tumbling down the slope. Luo Zheng, surprised by this, realized that the enemy was even more skilled than he had anticipated; their sniper rifle's night vision capability was very strong.

By then, a large force of troops erged from the enemy camp. Clearly, the enemy sniper had reported his position, and the enemy was sending forces to pursue him. Lan Xue's urgent request to imdiately retreat ca through the earpiece, but facing strong adversaries, Luo Zheng was not panicked. Instead, he sat on the ground with his sniper rifle, loading five sniper bullets into the chamber while envisioning the enemy sniper's position and carefully sensing the surrounding wind speed and distance, calculating his shot.

The sound of the enemy's pursuit grew closer, and Lan Xue's shouts beca more urgent, severely disrupting Luo Zheng's calculations, so he simply turned off his earpiece. Taking a deep breath and forcing himself to calm down, Luo Zheng suddenly sprang up, standing erect as if he were the War God himself, the sniper rifle level on his shoulder, quickly aiming at the predetermined spot. His expression turned cold as his finger rapidly pulled the trigger.

"Whizz whizz whizz whizz whizz!" Luo Zheng pulled the trigger five tis in quick succession, sending the five sniper bullets flying like Continuous arrows toward their intended target. In the night, the harrowing sound of the whizzing bullets seed like the Death God's snicker, the continuous burst of fire making the sniper rifle sound like a machine gun's short burst. Luo Zheng had no choice; the enemy was well hidden and there was no ti to aim. He had to shoot based on instinct, as it was impossible to achieve success with a single shot. Therefore, he could only rely on a sufficient volu of bullets to suppress the enemy with firepower, gambling on luck to take down his adversary.

Luo Zheng knew very well that the enemy was extrely powerful. If he didn't take out the adversary, there was no chance for him to survive. Without the pursuing enemy catching up, Luo Zheng wouldn't mind dragging the fight out and sniping for a while, but the enemy had already charged forward. Ti was exceedingly limited; to fight was to die, but not to fight was also to die—Luo Zheng went all out.

In the face of a formidable enemy, it was either the enemy dies or I perish. Luo Zheng was keenly aware of the enemy's strength. Suddenly rising and firing could steal the initiative, and shooting by instinct could save the ti of aiming, allowing him to fire off a few more rounds. However, whether he could hit the target, Luo Zheng had no confidence.

After pulling the trigger five tis in quick succession, Luo Zheng didn't see the enemy fire a single shot, which startled him. He quickly dropped down, lifted his binoculars to check, and discovered the low wall was shockingly collapsed by his sniper bullets, burying the sniper rifle, with only the barrel exposed; the sniper couldn't be seen.

The rifle is a sniper's second life; there's no reason to ignore it buried beneath bricks. Luo Zheng was stunned for a mont, then felt a surge of joy. The enemy was either dead, injured, or the sniper rifle was rendered unusable. Regardless of which, it was to his advantage. He couldn't miss this opportunity—dawning his night vision device, he scooped up his weapon and turned to run. Under the cover of night, he was as fast as a cheetah, with the whistling of the wind resounding in his ears.

After running for over ten ters, and not hearing the anticipated sniper rifle fire, only the sporadic sounds of other ordinary gunshots, Luo Zheng continued, ignoring them completely. He gritted his teeth and increased his pace, charging straight to the infrared surveillance position. Since he had already been exposed, there was no need for stealth. Luo Zheng rushed into the position and continued his mad dash.

A few minutes later, Luo Zheng passed the infrared surveillance position and rushed toward Lan Xue's concealed direction. Tackling the thirty-plus degree incline as if it were flat ground, he surged upwards, and through the earpiece, he yelled, "Brothers, ti to withdraw."

"Yes." Everyone had wanted to help Luo Zheng by covering the rear and striking back, but seeing four or five hundred enemies rush out from the camp, their flashlights flickering and searchlights scanning everywhere, they knew it was impossible to deter them. Hearing Luo Zheng's order, they didn't hesitate to grab their weapons and turn to run at full speed.

With the aid of the night vision devices, everyone's running speed was very fast, unaffected by the darkness. After reuniting with Lan Xue, the two embraced each other silently, patting each other on the shoulders, expressing their love and concern. They quickly separated, without saying much, and swiftly ran off toward the west—under the night sky, they were like two Wild Wolves.

While running, Luo Zheng saw that the pursuers were relentless but falling behind. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief. In the dark of night, visibility was incredibly low. Ghost Hand and the others were spread out far apart and couldn't see each other, making regrouping impossible. Luo Zheng quickly turned on his flashlight and called everyone to assemble through the earpiece.

Before long, Ghost Hand and the others raced toward the light source. The squad managed to regroup while still at a high pace. Seeing that not one was missing or injured, Luo Zheng internally breathed a sigh of relief. He pulled out his GPS, quickly confird the direction and route, and sprinted toward the Terrorist Organization's training camp. Everything was going according to plan. With increased confidence about the upcoming mission, Luo Zheng's gaze sharpened.
