In the pitch-black forest, the campfire gradually grew dim, crackling softly, and the silence around was suffocating, not even the sound of an insect could be heard; a deathly aura pervaded the night sky, stifling one's breath. "Aaah!" A scream rang out; through the sniper scope, Luo Zheng saw the target fall to the ground, with a bloody hole where his shoulder blade had been blown open, blood pouring out, but not imdiately fatal. The man writhed in agony, screaming sothing unintelligible.
Then two more sniper shots were fired. Luo Zheng adjusted his sniper scope to observe and saw that the other two targets also fell to the ground. One was hit in the chest, blood spurting out like a fountain, while the other was Levsky, shot in the thigh, falling to his knees. The injury unleashed Levsky's fury, and he began firing in the direction of the shots.
Seeing that Levsky was aiming for him, Luo Zheng knew things were bad. He quickly threw himself to the ground just in ti to hear three bullets whiz overhead, startled by the realization that this guy could accurately judge positions just by sound alone; a formidable opponent indeed. Fortunately, their team had adopted a surrounding tactic, and thanks to night vision-capable sniper scopes, they could handle these adversaries; otherwise, it would be uncertain whose ga it would be.
"Pff, pff"—two quiet gunshots of a silent pistol sounded. Luo Zheng looked up to see Levsky's gun knocked to the ground, and his hand wounded by a bullet. Next, Luo Zheng saw Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard charge forward—with Ghost Hand pouncing on Levsky and Snow Leopard cautiously finishing off the downed bodies.
"Phew!" Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief, glad that they had finally won, albeit through a bit of trickery. Considering these were elite mbers of the Alpha Special Forces that had been eliminated, and fortunately these n had retreated in haste and had not carried tools like night vision devices that would reveal their exact positions, Luo Zheng felt fortunate. Luo Zheng cautiously surveyed the surroundings and, determining it was safe, he brandished his gun and charged forward. He saw Levsky gritting his teeth as he stood up from the ground, a huge chunk of flesh torn from his thigh by a bullet, blood gushing forth, indicating a damaged artery — death was not far off.
"Bandage him," Luo Zheng said in a low voice.
Ghost Hand swiftly rushed forward, laid Levsky on the ground, undid his belt, bound his hands behind his back, and then took out a first aid kit from his backpack to stop the bleeding. Levsky did not resist; instead, he coldly watched Luo Zheng with indifferent eyes, showing neither sorrow nor joy.
"This is a man who has seen through life and death; threats of death are aningless to him." Luo Zheng's heart tightened. He slowly squatted down, looked at the other man coldly, and said, "Your na is Levsky?"
"So, you are indeed from Huaxia Country. But we have no grudge, why ambush us?" Levsky said coldly.
