The sky gradually brightened, and the Dawn Star stood high in the sky, calmly watching a raging bonfire on the desolate mountain range. The fire tore through the last shred of night before dawn, illuminating its surroundings and appearing exceptionally eerie against the barren slopes. The wind blew gently, fanning the flas even more. Beside the bonfire sat five stealthy figures, cloaked in camouflage suits, their human shapes obscured as if they were people hugging their knees and sleeping on the ground, motionless, adding to the strangeness of the desolate range.

Ti silently flowed on, and after a while, a red sun slowly climbed up the horizon, completely dispelling the darkness. The clouds around the sun were a brilliant red, as if stained by red cloth, shifting into various shapes with the wind, a beautiful sight to behold. The barren mountain range suddenly ca to life. The bonfire gradually diminished, but the five figures squatting beside it remained still, as if still deep in slumber.

Before long, two black shadows appeared in the midst of the red sun—two ard transport helicopters, roaring towards the mountain range with their backs to the sun. They stopped on a plateau five kiloters away from the bonfire, seemingly fearful of disturbing the people by the fire. The powerful rotors whipped up the surrounding dead grass, scattering it in all directions. Before the rotors could co to a halt, those on board were already impatiently jumping down.

"Swish, swish!" Suddenly, two sniper rifle shots rang out—a sniper armor-piercing bullet and a sniper incendiary bomb drew two sinister trails across the ridge, emitting a screeching sound that was muffled by the roar of the helicopter blades. None heard these abrupt shots as the bullets took advantage of the noise to strike an ard transport helicopter fiercely.

The armor-piercing bullet instantly pierced the helicopter's fuel tank and exploded, with fuel splattering out. At that mont, the incendiary bomb whistled in, hitting the sa spot on the fuel tank. The high temperature instantly ignited the fuel, creating a powerful air pressure, followed by a loud "boom" as the fuel tank exploded. The ard transport helicopter was instantly dismbered into pieces, with debris flying chaotically. Those who had just jumped from the helicopter had no ti to escape before being engulfed by the shockwave and struck by the wreckage.

"Swish!" Yet another regular sniper bullet roared out of its chamber, its whistling drowned out by the explosion, like a rciless assassin, drawing a wave of energy impact in the void and instantly striking the pilot of the other ard transport helicopter. The bullet entered through the left side of the brain, savagely opening up the right side of the skull and spewing out a large splash of blood. The pilot died instantly and slumped over the dashboard in front.

All of this happened too fast, too suddenly. The explosion of one helicopter left the people on the other stunned, clueless about what had happened. By the ti the pilot was shot dead, it was already too late to react—three more gunshots rang out, and three more bullets unhesitatingly pounced on the people who had jumped from the helicopter.

One was hit by an incendiary bomb and imdiately burst into flas, took a few frantic steps forward, and fell to the ground. As he rolled, he let out a piercing scream. Another was struck in the chest; the forceful bullet knocked his body backwards into the air, colliding with a comrade trying to jump down after him. Another, attempting to man the machine gun, had his head blown apart, his brain and blood scattering everywhere as his body slumped down lifelessly.

Three bullets, three lives. The remaining three on the helicopter quickly lay flat, using the fuselage for cover as they fired wildly in the suspected direction and let out terrified roars, trying to embolden themselves. The fierce sniper attack had completely shaken them.

"Swish, swish, swish!" Three more regular sniper bullets whistled through the air, carrying disdain and confidence—they pounced like the Death God. One bullet struck a man's arm, causing his gun to fall. Another hit the head of soone lying on the helicopter; his ballistic helt was no match for the sniper bullet, which wounded him instantly. Another, anticipating danger, had already jumped off from the opposite side and fled for his life.

At that mont, two people suddenly charged forward from another direction, pulling their triggers from afar. Their rapid shots took down the fleeing man. They quickly rushed up; one of them dragged the corpse from the cockpit and dumped it on the ground, then climbed into the cockpit himself, excitedly inspecting the helicopter—it was Ghost Hand.

Snow Leopard dragged the bodies off the helicopter, excitedly shouting, "Brothers, is the helicopter undamaged?"

"No, Captain, co on over, haha!" Ghost Hand yelled excitedly.

Suddenly, three figures erged from three directions, clutching sniper rifles and sprinting excitedly. Soon they arrived at the ard transport helicopter—it was Luo Zheng and his n. They tossed the bodies aside and confiscated all of the enemy's weapons and equipnt. Ghost Hand started up the ard transport helicopter, and even Lan Xue, who rarely smiled, gave Luo Zheng a thumbs-up in approval.

All of this was a plan ticulously designed by Luo Zheng. He had set up this deadly ambush. The campfire was deliberately left exposed to attract the attention of Arctic Bear Country. As for the shadowy figures by the campfire, they were rely rocks and branches covered with camouflage suits to mimic the appearance of people. Considering the enemy might land earlier, after discussion, they decided to set the early landing distance at five kiloters. This proved that their guess was right.

The plan was simple but executed flawlessly, which had a lot to do with Arctic Bear's eagerness for revenge. If Arctic Bear Country had monitored more closely, for instance, by sending drones for reconnaissance and being more cautious, perhaps they would have seen through the deceptive campfire setup. It makes no sense for people not to move at all when daylight cos, right?

If Arctic Bear had simply launched an aerial attack instead, they wouldn't have been annihilated and lost their ard transport helicopter. Luo Zheng had considered this possibility. If the enemy had done so, his n would have had little choice but to silently detour and leave. Five kiloters from the campfire was enough distance for a quiet escape.

Artic Bear had chosen to capture them alive, as only by doing so could they atone for their sins and cleanse their sha. So they landed earlier than planned, which was a good idea but played right into Luo Zheng's ambush. Although not hopeful at first, when the prey ca straight to them, they took the opportunity and executed the kill as planned.

The ard transport helicopter quickly took off, flew to the campfire, and landed to pick up the camouflage suits. The suits, special products from the Equipnt Team, couldn't be left for the enemy. Everyone boarded the ard transport helicopter again and raced westward, thrilled with excitent. Having the helicopter made their journey much faster.

"Full speed ahead," Luo Zheng shouted excitedly through his headset, leaning back comfortably. He looked at Lan Xue, who cast an approving glance back at him. Luo Zheng grinned from ear to ear as if he had tasted honey, for nothing was better in his eyes than Lan Xue's approval.

Knowing that Arctic Bear Country's fighter jets could arrive any mont, Ghost Hand loudly ordered, "Understood."

The ard transport helicopter roared off, growing increasingly distant, and soon it beca but a speck against the sky.
