Atop the mountain peak, Luo Zheng lay still on the ground, his sniper rifle aid at the snowy slope nearby. His sharply defined face wore a hint of relaxation. He raised his head to glance at the sun in the sky; the gray clouds had already dispersed, visibility was high. The sun was gradually setting, it was ti to end this battle. His gaze, firm at first, turned piercing, a hint of murderous intent coloring his expression. He spoke into his headset, "Mountain Eagle, position."
"Dead angle on the slope, ready to rush to the front at any ti," Mountain Eagle didn't know Luo Zheng's plan, but he promptly responded.
"Good, wait for the right mont," Luo Zheng commanded, his voice thick with intense fighting spirit. His eyes narrowed fiercely, and he fired.
"Whoosh!" The Incendiary Bomb howled out of the gun barrel, creating an eerie energy shockwave that drew everyone's attention. When they saw the Incendiary Bomb hit the snow block, confusion arose. Nobody could understand what Luo Zheng was up to, not even the Snow Bear Colonel, who was surprised and searched for Luo Zheng's position. Unfortunately, a huge rock blocked his view, preventing a finishing blow, and he had no choice but to give up.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" Luo Zheng didn't explain his plan but continued firing, shooting all ten of the Incendiary Bombs in the sniper rifle, hitting the snow blocks in front of the slope. Each bullet was about two ters apart, burying deep into the snow without a trace.
After ten bullets were fired, Luo Zheng atop the mountain did not make another move but continued to position the Incendiary Bombs. While everyone was still puzzled, suddenly, Lan Xue, from her vantage point on the hillside, saw that the snow blocks on the slope had begun to collapse, revealing a crevasse. Then, the entire front part of the slope started to loosen and crumble down.
"Hiss?" Lan Xue instantly realized what was happening when she saw this scene. Luo Zheng had used the Incendiary Bombs to burn and lt the front snow blocks. The surface layer of the snow mountain was soft, but underneath it was a layer of ice, thick and firm. However, even this could not withstand the high heat of the Incendiary Bombs. Once lted, everything would loosen and collapse.
"Mountain Eagle, Snow Leopard, strike," Luo Zheng's voice rang in the headset.
Mountain Eagle, witnessing the avalanche of the slope's snow and ice, also understood. He heard Luo Zheng's command and quickly advanced. After the slope's collapse, those hidden below had nowhere to hide. The collapse was not just a sprinkle of snowflakes but a large sheet of ice, which triggered a landslide of the surrounding snow on the slope.
The ice chunks fell, landing heavily on anyone underneath – a sure end. The flying snowflakes blinded the eyes. The Snow Bear hidden below the slope had only two choices: either get buried by the avalanche or evacuate. If it were only loose surface snow, it would not matter, but solid ice chunks were different. The ice was as hard as steel; if hit by it, the impact was extraordinary.
The Snow Bear soldier chose to dodge, breaking into a wild sprint to the side, trying to avoid the covering hail of snow and ice. But at that mont, both Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard chose to strike. Their eyes, cold and dead set on the direction of the slope, radiated endless battle intent. As they saw a person sprinting to the side like a cheetah, Snow Leopard didn't hesitate to open fire.
"Bang, bang, bang!" The Type 95 assault rifle roared rapidly, its dense bullets swooping aggressively toward the target like fatal talismans. Snow Leopard, knowing the adversary's high skill, didn't hope to hit with accuracy and instead focused on suppressing the enemy, creating an opportunity for Mountain Eagle.
Mountain Eagle also reached the opposite side of the slope. Seeing a person evading Snow Leopard's gunfire with swift and agile movent, surprisingly covering ten ters without injury and unable to hide, he rolled to the ground, face up, and quickly aid at the target.
His body slid a short distance down the slope under the force of gravity before quickly coming to a stop. By then, Mountain Eagle had already aid at the target and calmly pulled the trigger, shooting a burst of three rounds.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" Three sniper bullets, forming a T-shape, whistled through the air, locking down the target's left, right, and front positions. If the target stayed still, the bullets would miss entirely, but the target couldn't remain motionless, for Snow Leopard's bullets followed relentlessly, sweeping their path.
"Thud!" The target took a step forward, practically delivering his thigh into the path of the bullet. The bullet fiercely burrowed into the target's thigh, stirring violently, its powerful kinetic energy pulverizing the surrounding muscle, creating a massive blood hole. Blood surged out as the target stumbled, tumbling down the slope.
"Bang bang bang!" Snow Leopard fired three rapid shots, each bullet biting into flesh. The target, hit by Mountain Eagle, no longer had the strength to resist. As he slid down the slope, how could he fend off Snow Leopard's onslaught? He was killed on the spot.
Mountain Eagle could see clearly through the sniper scope and sighed in relief. He quickly stood up, squatted on the ground, raised his gun to aim forward, and while scanning for potential targets, he reported, "Target down, Ghost brother, that was clever."
"Is there a way to ambush from the collapsed slope?" Luo Zheng sighed in relief and whispered.
Mountain Eagle assessed the distance and difficulty of the terrain, then promptly replied, "It's possible, but it'll take half an hour."
"Forget it. Take the back slope and co around to my position for support. Snow Leopard, find a place to ambush near the slope and wait for my command," Luo Zheng whispered.
"Yes," Snow Leopard responded without hesitation. Luo Zheng's strategy had created a chance for a decisive kill, and Snow Leopard admired it greatly. He raced down to the slope, grabbed the corpse of the man they had just killed, collected the fallen equipnt, and stealthily moved toward the slope, his confidence soaring.
"Brothers, well done. Two more targets," Lan Xue also relaxed and said excitedly. The battle was going surprisingly well, and Lan Xue knew that their team's prestige would rise to the next level after this, raising her status as Commander as well. Thinking of Luo Zheng, who had effectively led the operation, Lan Xue's face softened with a gentle smile, sweetly satisfied without a hint of disgruntlent at being upstaged.
"Yeah, two more. The location of the bastard who once took a shot at is clear, but the other has yet to show himself. Everyone, be careful," Luo Zheng reminded calmly, moving his body stiff from the cold. He shook his numb head, gritted his teeth, and kept enduring. Although the sun's heat shone on him, it was almost useless to Luo Zheng.
"Ghost, what's your plan?" Lan Xue asked curiously. During battle, she always addressed Luo Zheng by his codena in serious situations.
"Brother, let's hear it," Ghost Hand's voice rang in everyone's headsets.
"Where are you hiding?" Luo Zheng asked in surprise, scanning the snow-covered ground ahead without any sign of Ghost Hand. Luo Zheng knew Ghost Hand had burrowed into the snow, but he didn't expect him to have learned so quickly, hiding so well that no one could find him.
