"Da da da!" Hundreds of AK47s fired simultaneously, the bullets forming a barrage that enveloped Luo Zheng from above. Luo Zheng was greatly startled and twisted his body to retreat wildly. Bullets struck the edge of the roof, which collapsed in the onslaught, but also blocked the fierce concentrated fire.

In a panic, Luo Zheng retreated more than ten ters to ensure he was out of the range of the gunfire, then quickly squatted down to observe the surroundings for enemies. After confirming there were no other people on adjacent rooftops, he shouted into his earpiece, "A large number of ard enemies at the town entrance, can't get out, not good, RPGs." While he spoke, Luo Zheng saw rockets flying in, destroying buildings, which alard him greatly. He jumped up and continued to retreat backward.

Five rockets flew to the rooftop, their powerful shockwave effortlessly destroying it, leaving chaos in their wake. Luo Zheng retreated another ten ters, kneeling to scan the area for enemies with an iron-colored face and eyes brimming with towering rage, wishing he could find Xinzi and give him a bullet right away.

"Whoosh whoosh!" Two sniper incendiary bombs were launched from different locations, hurtling toward the town's exit.

"Boom boom!" Two explosions rang out, mixed with pitiful screams. Luo Zheng was startled and quickly realized it was Lan Xue and others taking action, blowing up vehicles and setting the enemy ablaze. The exit must be chaotic now. Luo Zheng found a spot to jump down from the roof and charged forward.

Soon, many ard individuals carrying guns rushed forward in panic. Then, another two explosions sounded. These people must have fled into the alley to avoid snipers and ran right into an ambush. Luo Zheng's face turned grim, he raised his hand, and pulled the trigger. Bullets whistled out, knocking down the approaching enemies.

The group hadn't anticipated Luo Zheng being in the alley and was caught off guard, with more than a dozen people falling in an instant. But they quickly reacted, firing wildly toward the entrance of the alley. Luo Zheng had already climbed back onto the rooftop and was rushing forward. The enemies set to intercept him were thrown into disarray by the incendiary bombs, and no one noticed Luo Zheng coming back.

"Ahh!" Luo Zheng roared, leaping from the roof. Mid-air, his gun fired continuously. After several rapid bursts took down a few enemies, he landed, rolled up, and continued his mad dash forward. He was like a fierce tiger plunging into a flock of sheep. He emptied the bullets in his gun in one breath, quickly holstered it, and drew out Dragon Tooth from his back.

The dark black blade of Dragon Tooth glead with a deathly chill in the sunlight. As he brandished the long knife, his opponents in front stood no chance, cut down where they stood. A rain of blood followed the blade's arc as Luo Zheng, who had practiced diligently for nearly two months, showcased his greatly improved skills.

In the midst of the mayhem, Luo Zheng's speed remained unchecked. The enemies around him, realizing what was happening, raised their guns in an attempt to shoot, only to find their target had disappeared and they couldn't aim effectively. Their random bursts of gunfire risked hitting their own, forcing them to hold fire and rush forward with cries of aggression.

Riding his killing fervor, Luo Zheng's Invisible Blade Skill unfolded—unseen and unstoppable. In no ti at all, he carved a bloody path through the enemy, slaying them in his wake. He sprinted to a pickup truck, opened the door, and flung the person inside out.

"Bang bang bang!" Several bullets hurtled toward them, hitting the person he had used as a shield. Luo Zheng was shocked by the close call; without ti for a second glance, he quickly jumped into the pickup truck and drove off, executing a skillful handbrake turn before speeding away.

Countless people rushed toward him, fearlessly trying to jump onto the truck. Luo Zheng, observing everything clearly through the rearview mirror, suddenly accelerated, shaking off a few, but still five or six people managed to get into the truck bed. Luo Zheng slamd on the brakes. Under the powerful force of inertia, those five or six people were suddenly flung out, screaming amid their frantic tumbling.

Luo Zheng floored the accelerator and charged forward, just as soone fell in front, getting hit and sent flying by the pickup truck, whether they lived or died was unclear. Luo Zheng couldn't afford to care much, pressing the gas pedal to the floor and firmly controlling the steering wheel as he rushed forward. Suddenly, an anxious shout ca through the earpiece from Lan Xue, "Be careful, RPG."

Upon hearing the warning, Luo Zheng didn't even have ti to glance at the rear-view mirror; he yanked the steering wheel hard, sending the pickup off the main road and onto the desert highway beside it. Then he saw a rocket zooming past over the desert road; had the car kept speeding on the highway, it wouldn't have been able to dodge the incoming attack from the rocket.

"Boom, boom!" Luo Zheng jerked the steering wheel violently, and the pickup roared as it re-entered the highway and sped on. After stabilizing, Luo Zheng observed the situation through the rear-view mirror to find many cars chasing behind him. A few in the front were blown up, being tossed into the air with flas shooting skyward and thick smoke billowing. The remaining cars hastily veered off the highway to avoid the pile-up, attempting to continue chasing Luo Zheng, but sniper bullets ca shooting from both sides.

Luo Zheng guessed that it was Lan Xue and Mountain Eagle in support; feeling greatly assured, he knew that with the two of them around, the trailing cars wouldn't catch up. When he saw two figures suddenly pop up from the sands ahead, he startled but quickly slowed down when he realized it was Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard and they quickly hopped onto the vehicle without any wasted words.

"Run ahead, go back to that village we passed before," Lan Xue's voice ca through the earpiece.

"What about you guys?" Luo Zheng asked.

"We'll head back in the car we ca in," Lan Xue replied quickly.

"No, that car was Xinzi's; there's definitely sothing off about it. Don't use it, hurry up and rendezvous with us," Luo Zheng denied without hesitation.

At the ntion of Xinzi, Lan Xue paused, not insisting anymore. Once they saw the enemy wasn't pursuing further, they promptly inford Mountain Eagle to retreat. Luo Zheng stopped the car and jumped out, his gaze coldly fixed on the burning vehicles of their pursuers in silence, his expression icy and his eyes emitting a frightening murderous intent, which Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard noticed, not daring to ask more.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Lan Xue and Mountain Eagle caught up. Everyone boarded the car without a word. Luo Zheng instructed Ghost Hand to drive while he moved to the bed of the pickup truck, recounting what had happened before, concluding bitterly, "I never thought Xinzi was the enemy; we must find a chance to finish him off. Also, our movents have been exposed, I don't know if the mission has been compromised."

"The mission being compromised is unlikely, else Xinzi wouldn't be beating around the bush with us; I need to report the situation imdiately," Lan Xue said, pulling out a satellite phone from the backpack, setting it up, and dialing Wu Jin's number.

"Finally, you've turned on the phone; are you guys okay, what exactly happened?" Wu Jin asked anxiously. He had already caught a glimpse of the battle through satellite surveillance but was unclear about the specifics and exceedingly worried.

"Xinzi betrayed us, how much does he actually know?" Lan Xue spoke coldly. Having grievances with Xinzi, who had been arranged by headquarters, she was furious; if not for her absolute trust in Wu Jin, she wouldn't be making this call but would have contacted her grandfather directly instead.
