Special ops in foreign lands, the greatest fears are inaccurate intelligence, unfamiliar terrain, and language barriers. For Casiva, the intelligence issue was handled by Xinzi. To survive and for the sake of interest, Xinzi dared not ss around. The terrain issue was managed by the terrorist organization, so that was not a problem either. But the language barrier constantly made Casiva feel that the people around him were unreliable, worrying about being betrayed by soone close by.

A bunch of terrorists, an informant who would sell out everything for profit—Casiva didn't feel safe. At that mont, a Snow Bear team mber stepped forward and asked cautiously in Arctic Bear Country's language, "Captain?"

"Those black-robed people are experts, be careful. I suspect they have discovered enemy tracks. Follow them, and also, hurry up and check when the reinforcents sent from ho will arrive," Casiva said coldly, cutting off the other's question, also in Arctic Bear Country's language. Without a single trustworthy person to translate, Casiva was hugely irritated.

That group also chased in the direction of the black-robed sniper. The battle was still raging at the top of stone mountain, but they didn't bother to intervene. Those guys didn't even feel like taking a glance and followed behind the squad. The ard militants at the rear did want to go up the mountain to help, but seeing that Casiva and his n had already run far, the group leader rembered his superior's instructions, gritted his teeth, and led his team to follow.

Luo Zheng and the others sprinted all the way, unaware that a large number of strong enemies were following them. An hour later, the team was severely overextended and had to stop and rest in a wind-sheltered area behind a hill to regain their strength. Luo Zheng leaned against the hill slope and observed the surrounding terrain with calmness. The hill was severely desertified, not a blade of grass in sight, and the cold moonlight added a few touches of tranquility to the hill.

The wind blew gently, bringing a hint of danger. Luo Zheng got up with suspicion and quickly rushed up the slope, lifting his binoculars and checking the surroundings vigilantly, but there was no sign of the enemy. After a while, Lan Xue's voice ca through the earpiece, "What happened?"

"No suspicious activity detected. The team will withdraw after resting for ten minutes," Luo Zheng replied softly.

Everyone agreed and lay flat on the ground to relax their bodies completely and recover faster. Ten minutes later, Luo Zheng saw several black figures in the distance through his binoculars, and he was startled. Observing carefully, as they got closer, he realized they were dressed in black robes and wore black headgear, just like the sniper they had killed. Alard, he whispered, "Suspicious individuals have followed us, equipped just like those ambushed on stone mountain. I suspect they are Death God Killers. Everyone, get ready for a swift withdrawal."

"Yes," everyone agreed, hurriedly getting ready and shouldering their packs.

Luo Zheng ran down the hill slope, shouldered his pack, and said urgently, "Those people are about two kiloters away, moving fast. The terrain around is open and not to our advantage. Withdraw first, then find a suitable place to ambush and take them out."

"Yes," everyone responded and, not daring to delay, began to move quickly toward a sprint ahead.

After about an hour of forced march, everyone was quite tired. An open Gobi appeared in front, with nurous tents set up and a few bonfires burning. Ard militants were patrolling nearby. Everyone was shocked and quickly hid behind a nearby dirt slope to observe.

Soon, Luo Zheng saw through his binoculars that the place in front didn't seem like a military base but more like a temporary camp of so troops. However, there was sothing strange and inscrutable about it. Lan Xue whispered beside him, "Weird. What is this place? Doesn't look like a camp, nor does it resemble a construction site."

"Could it be that the camp is being renovated? But then, there are no walls or buildings to be seen," Ghost Hand murmured in astonishnt and doubt.

"Could it be an underground construction? Did you see all that pile of soil?" Luo Zheng said cautiously.

"Underground construction?" Everyone was surprised and, following Luo Zheng's hint, they looked closely and quickly noticed the resemblance. Piles of soil were stacked up, with many places having underground entrances. Lan Xue suddenly spoke in a low voice, "Could it really be an underground base? Do you all rember Lucia? The people from her village were conscripted to work on constructions. Could it be sothing like that?"

"That makes sense. This place is within Wata's territory. What do we do if they're connected?" Ghost Hand asked.

"The enemy is chasing us from behind. We must find a place to hide. Underground construction? A good place. We can hide underground and co out after the enemy has passed," Luo Zheng whispered.

Heartened by this, everyone got to their feet and carefully skirted forward under the cover of night, unknowingly approaching near the tent area. They hid in the shadows, calmly observing the patrolling team in front. The n were diligent but ultimately not professional. There were blind spots in their patrol area, and they did not notice Luo Zheng and the others sneaking up.

Luo Zheng and the others hid near the tents on the ground. Their mountain and jungle dual-use digital camouflage combat suits were highly effective for camouflage; it was hard to spot them until one was close by. Everyone lay quietly on the ground, slowly crawling forward, and shortly saw an underground entrance ahead.

The entrance was not deep, and lights were on in the underground passage, which was eerily quiet. To evade the Death God Killer's pursuit, everyone jumped down into the passage, following it forward. Soon, they discovered that the underground area was a labyrinth, full of passageways with no sense of direction; even the way back beca indistinguishable.

"Hiss?" Luo Zheng crouched in surprise, raising his arm. The team halted in place, crouching down and remaining alert. Luo Zheng observed his surroundings cautiously, ears pricked up. He saw no suspicious figures, but faint snores reached his ears, not just one but multiple, coming and going intermittently. Luo Zheng was startled. What was going on?

"The situation is bizarre, and the enemy's status is unclear. Should we continue to advance?" Luo Zheng whispered, his back against the tunnel wall.

"Let's find a place to hide. We can't just run around blindly, or we'll end up in a passive position," Lan Xue said worryingly, looking at the crisscrossing tunnels below. Her beautiful eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she spoke with a cold expression.

Luo Zheng agreed, walked a little further, stopped, and pointed to the surrounding side tunnels, signaling for everyone to watch over a tunnel each, to wait and see. Luo Zheng himself quickly moved towards the direction of the snoring sounds, determined to understand the surroundings clearly before letting down his guard; otherwise, they wouldn't even know how they died.

Before long, Luo Zheng saw a large hole ahead, about thirty ters deep and fifty ters in diater. The hole connected to the outside world, allowing the view of the moon hanging high. The passage ended at this big hole, and the snoring sounds were coming from the hole's floor.

Luo Zheng quickly raised his binoculars to observe and saw many lying at the bottom of the hole, all extrely thin and malnourished, lying carelessly on the ground and snoring, with digging tools placed beside them. Ropes were hanging from the top of the hole. Judging from their clothes, they seed to be workers responsible for digging, which made him utter in shock, "What is this?"
