The hand crossbow was specially made, with ten crossbow arrows loaded inside. Luo Zheng anticipated that the first arrow would miss. Seeing his opponent dodge, he quickly pulled the trigger, and the second arrow chased the target, slithering past. The third arrow followed closely behind, continuous as a chain, ferociously lashing out, fast as lightning.
The first arrow missed but surprisingly struck another black-robed figure in the chest. A spray of blood burst forth. The second arrow missed, and the third hit the target in the lower back. They were only ten ters apart. The crossbow arrows, all made of steel and extrely sharp, penetrated the opponent's body. A scream of agony erupted.
The sudden turn of events shocked the other black-robed people, and it made Tiger King's dark brows twitch. His half-closed eyes suddenly widened, locking onto Luo Zheng with a frightening glint, like a razor-sharp sword intent on piercing through to Luo Zheng's true identity. At that mont, Tiger Girl suddenly yelled, "Bro, give the blade."
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" Luo Zheng knew that the black-robed figure was the leader here, and leaders usually possess significant skills. Continuously pulling the trigger, he shot all the remaining crossbow arrows. Indeed, the opponent was formidable, rolling his body to dodge and managing to evade five arrows. Yet, he was hit by several remaining arrows and couldn't move any longer.
Luo Zheng, hearing Tiger Girl's shout, swiftly threw the Japanese blade in his hand towards her. He tossed aside the crossbow, and from beneath the black robe, he drew his ever-carried Dragon Tooth. With a tallic sheen, Luo Zheng drew the Dragon Tooth. Its black gleam flickered, and the edge emitted a chilling breath of death that was terrifying to behold.
At that ti, Luo Zheng noticed that Tiger Girl had also drawn her blade, charging like a little tiger and furiously hacking at the black-robed person. Each strike was as fast as lightning. In his panic, the black-robed person counterattacked, but his moves seed more like willingly offering himself to be killed. In the blink of an eye, three people lay on the ground, blood gushing out, each strike lethal, causing observers to recoil in shock. What was this?
There were still several black-robed figures left. Luo Zheng, worried about Tiger Girl's safety, rushed forward, sword in hand, and swung the Dragon Tooth at one of them. That person raised his Japanese blade to block, moving quickly and with skilled swordplay. With a clang, sparks flew, and Luo Zheng felt a surge of force rushing at him, forcing him to retreat several steps.
"Boy, that's not how you use a blade. There's a problem with your step skill. Advance four steps, retreat three, diagonal two, stride one. Your angle of attack is all wrong," an authoritative voice roared, like a tiger's growl.
Luo Zheng recognized it was the person in the iron cage reminding him, but he didn't understand what was ant by the advice, which only prompted a bitter smile from him. However, he noticed that Tiger Girl had felled two more people, moving around with a tiger's ferocity, unpredictable step skill, flexible movent technique, yet ferociously unstoppable in her assaults. What was even more baffling was the angle of her blade attacks; they were simply inconceivable. Every attack seed to intersect with the opponent's vital spots as if they were being served up to her.
Suddenly, a fierce wind sliced towards him. Luo Zheng knew it was an enemy's sneak attack. Quickly casting aside distracting thoughts, he engaged his Invisible Blade Skill, eting the attacker's blade. With a twist of his blade, he used the montum to pull back and counter slash. The opponent was forced back. Luo Zheng stepped forward, his Dragon Tooth slashing horizontally.
"Advance three steps, thrust straight," the authoritative voice bellowed.
Luo Zheng, montarily stunned, quickly reacted, advancing three steps. Without considering how the adversary might respond, he thrust the Dragon Tooth forward without hesitation. A gurgling sound followed as the blade effortlessly pierced the opponent's body. Luo Zheng was astonished. Did it work? Was it that simple?
Before he could process what happened, the authoritative voice continued to instruct, "Rotate, withdraw the blade, stride right one ter, crouch, reverse strike."
Luo Zheng, upon hearing the reminder, didn't even have to think; he quickly rotated his blade handle, enlarging the opponent's wound before pulling out his sword. He took a large step to the right, instinctively crouching down, as a slash of wind whistled above his head, the buzzing sound of slicing air almost maddening. Without a mont to spare, he struck back with his sword; he felt so resistance on his blade, followed by a wretched scream ringing out.
"Eh?" Luo Zheng was taken aback, turning his head, he saw a spray of blood; a black-robed person had his belly split open by Luo Zheng's move. He quickly dodged to avoid the blood spray, and looking up, he saw seven or eight bodies lying on the ground, not one standing anymore, while Tiger Girl aid a fatal strike at the last black-robed man's neck.
"What?" With disbelief on his face, Luo Zheng watched the event unfold, the formidable black-robed n all killed in just two or three minutes. He had only struck down two himself, and those were after being tipped off by soone inside the iron cage; otherwise, he could have only fought one to a draw. This sword technique? It's too terrifying.
"You little brat, who taught you that sword technique? It has the form but lacks the brute strength, not to ntion your footwork can't keep up," the person inside the iron cage said dissatisfiedly.
"Eh?" Luo Zheng ca to his senses and gave an awkward smile, hurriedly rushing to the iron cage, sizing up the person inside. The man sitting in the cage had not seed imposing, but standing up, his presence was like a mountain, exuding an aura of killing intent that frightened Luo Zheng, as if a mountain was standing before him.
"Godfather, these are the people you've been looking for," Tiger Girl ran over and said.
"Oh? How can you prove it?" the cage's occupant demanded, with weathered eyes locked firmly on Luo Zheng, flickering with expectation, but mostly skepticism. After being imprisoned for more than thirty years, with no one coming to his rescue, could it really be that his own people suddenly appeared?
"Senior Tiger King, my na is Ghost, a junior of National Blade. Three months ago, I accidentally rescued Wei Changfeng. Mad Brother gave us your clue, and we have been looking for you ever since, never expecting to actually find you," Luo Zheng spoke under an invisible pressure that made his breathing difficult, startling him. He hurriedly explained as his heart went through tumultuous waves, thinking, is this the presence of the Strongest Soldier King? Too terrifying.
"Sounds plausible, I've been locked up for more than thirty years; I've seen enough deception and won't easily believe you. If you really are one of us, get out of here first, then we'll talk. And, where did you get that sword?" the person in the cage commanded with authority, without confirming his identity or objecting to Luo Zheng's address, his eyes fixed intently on the Japanese sword in Luo Zheng's hand, his sharp gaze filled with caution.
"A spoil of battle," Luo Zheng said sowhat proudly. "That bastard was accidentally killed by ."
"Interesting, I've also killed the owner of that sword. I didn't expect you to kill its new master, not bad. However, I still won't easily trust you. How do you plan to get out?" The person in the cage asked in return, his vigilance slightly easing.
"Here you go, godfather," Tiger Girl picked up the sword worn by the leader-like person and handed it to the man in the cage. With the sword in hand, the man's aura surged, radiating dominance as if he were an unsheathed legendary blade.
