Tiger King, whose real na was Wang Xiaowu, descendant of Big Saber Wang Wu, had a common na that nonetheless carried respect for his elder and the ambition to emulate him. Those in the know held this na in high esteem, and indeed, Tiger King's saber techniques were so masterful they seed inherited from his ancestor, yet with an added touch of madness. Once unleashed, they were like a fierce tiger, his twin sabers acting as the tiger's deadly claws—ferocious, sharp, and overwhelmingly dominant, making him unstoppable and earning him the moniker "Tiger King."
Even when caged, a tiger remains a tiger, never turning into a cat. With a saber in hand, I have the world. Tiger King burst into laughter, but within that laughter were traces of desolation and the weight of years. After a while, Tiger King stopped laughing and looked at Luo Zheng, saying, "I haven't touched a saber in decades, I probably don't need it anymore. This cell is made of high-quality steel; it's impossible to break open. I can't get out, but if you are truly one of us, take her back."
"?" Luo Zheng started to feel agitated, realizing that in front of Tiger King, he seed weak like a child, his usual wit gone. Seeing the sadness in Tiger King's eyes, he quickly said, "Mr. Li was worried that you wouldn't want to go back, so he asked us to bring a ssage to you. It's from Commander Li Yiming, the current head of National Blade. He says he's waiting for you to co ho and drink, that all the past misunderstandings have been forgiven, and he hopes you can forgive him too."
"Huh?" The man inside the cell stared intensely into Luo Zheng's eyes, saw the clarity and sincerity there, along with a hint of urgency—not the look of a liar. The man, trusting his own judgnt, suddenly burst into jubilant laughter, like a tiger's roar echoing through the mountains, his powerful voice resonating through the cave.
"Such a powerful presence," Luo Zheng exclaid in surprise, taking a few steps back. His heart surged with fervor, and he watched intently, vowing to himself to beco the Strongest Soldier King, as imposing as the man inside.
"Good, good, good! The only ones who know this secret are him and . You really are one of us. I never thought I'd live to see you guys again. It's worth it," the Tiger King said, with tears streaming down his face like a child who had found his way ho, his complexion seeming much brighter.
Luo Zheng could understand Tiger King's emotions, having seen the sa expression on a madman before. Knowing that Tiger King was in an unstable state, he didn't disturb him, and turned to Tiger Girl, "You go guard the entrance. If soone cos, let know." Then, he started to size up the iron cage.
The cage was made of refined steel, welded together without any bolts, incredibly sturdy. Luo Zheng quickly took out a Button Bomb and called out to Tiger King, "Senior Tiger King, hide in the opposite corner quickly. I am going to blow this open. Hurry, the enemy is about to arrive."
"What's that?" Tiger King asked curiously, looking at the object in Luo Zheng's hand. Seeing Luo Zheng didn't seem in the mood to explain, he guessed it must be so powerful weapon. Driven by the desire to return ho, he quickly retreated to the opposite corner and, hearing Luo Zheng say to use the table and plank bed as a shield, he complied without objection.
Following Luo Zheng's instructions, Tiger King used the table and plank bed as a shield, placing a quilt in between and shrinking into a corner as much as he could, watching curiously but noticing Luo Zheng stick sothing the size of a button onto a welded spot, then he quickly ran off.
"Boom!" A loud explosion echoed, the entire iron cage vibrated intensely. Tiger King was shocked, having not been out in decades, he didn't expect humans to have invented such a powerful explosive. As he wondered, he saw Luo Zheng charging in, and asked, "Did it work? If not, forget about it, take Tiger Girl and run. With all this noise, those bastards will be here soon. The two of you can't hold them off."
Luo Zheng didn't answer; instead, he attached two more Button Bombs, then rapidly retreated and lay flat on the ground, covering his ears. Another earth-shattering explosion followed, nearly causing the massive cage to bounce. Tiger King's ears rang as the shielding bed and table were blown apart, and he was struck with awe at the powerful blast.
"Are you okay?" Luo Zheng looked at Tiger King with concern.
"I won't die, that was powerful. What kind of bomb was that? So small, yet so fierce," Tiger King asked curiously.
"It's our own latest product," Luo Zheng rushed over to check and found that the welding spot had been loosened by the explosion. Just one more ti and it would be done. He was overjoyed when he suddenly heard Tiger Girl warning that soone was coming. Luo Zheng's expression turned stern and he quickly ordered, "Hold them off for a mont, I'm almost done." With that, he hurriedly applied another bomb.
Tiger King had originally thought of giving up and letting Luo Zheng take Tiger Girl and retreat first, but hearing that it would be done soon, he was elated. Driven by the desire for freedom, Tiger King swallowed his words and quickly hid again. Having witnessed two explosions, Tiger King knew all too well not to ss with that button-sized thing.
"Boom!" A huge explosion sounded, and the iron cage was blown open at one side. Before Luo Zheng could get up to check, he suddenly let out a feral howl and charged out through the blasted gap, moving as fast as lightning toward the entrance. A large group of people in black robes was pouring in, and Tiger Girl couldn't hold them back.
"Awooo." Tiger King roared fiercely, his presence as overwhelming as a tiger descending a mountain. The intense roar made Luo Zheng's eardrums buzz, and right after, Luo Zheng saw Tiger King swinging his saber as he charged into the crowd. He cut through them like a tiger through sheep, with a simple yet incredibly fast technique, lethal with every strike.
"So fast," Luo Zheng watched Tiger King enter the fray with a shocked expression. The saber in Tiger King's hands seed to co to life, moving so fast it was beyond the naked eye's discernnt. Luo Zheng didn't even understand how Tiger King was attacking; he only saw countless people falling, screaming in despair, none spared.
In the blink of an eye, over a dozen people in black robes who had charged in were cut down. Stirred by Tiger King's ferocious fighting style, Luo Zheng's blood boiled. He couldn't hide in the back like a sick cat while he had released a tiger. Luo Zheng also let out a war cry and charged forward, only to find that Tiger King had already advanced into the passage, forcing the people to fall back steadily.
"Tiger Girl, lead the way," Luo Zheng called out loudly.
"Got it." Suddenly following behind Tiger King, in the narrow passage, people were slaughtered by Tiger King's relentless pursuit, with no chance to fight back. Luo Zheng, trailing behind, had no opportunity to engage and was inwardly astonished. Was this the strength of the Strongest Soldier King? It was terrifying. Compared to Tiger King, he was far behind.
Tiger King, who had been repressed for over thirty years, unleashed his towering killing intent fully in that mont. There was no match for him amongst the black-robed n who rushed at him—all were slain on the spot, and those not yet dead were finished off by Tiger Girl rushing up. This girl, raised in a harsh environnt, was also very ruthless in killing without any hesitation.
Luo Zheng was left behind without a chance to fight, smiling bitterly while his blood kept burning. His heart was filled with longing, longing to beco as powerful as Tiger King. That was truly the ultimate pursuit of a soldier.
