The Tiger King was like a tiger bursting out of its cage. Each individual could fight Luo Zheng to a draw, or even surpass him, but before the Tiger King, the black-robed enemies were as weak as ants, unable to withstand a single blow from his sword. Watching them, Luo Zheng's eyes widened in shock, and he was inwardly alard. On this blood-soaked path, more than thirty black-robed n had fallen, yet the Tiger King was unscathed, roaring from ti to ti, growing fiercer with each battle.
Slashing through enemies, they ca upon a side tunnel where two black-robed n charged at them. The Tiger King lunged forward to strike, sending both adversaries flying backward with a clang as they desperately blocked with their swords. The Tiger King pounced to deliver a killing blow to one of them, which made the man cry out in panic, "Friendly, friendly!"
The Tiger King, in his frenzied killing spree, had not lost his senses. Hearing the familiar language of Huaxia Country, he paused and eyed the two cautiously. Tiger Girl hurried over and helped the strangers up, shouting, "Godfather, they're with us, they're our own people, called Ghost Hand, and that leader is Sister Lan Xue."
"You two kids are too weak. Hide behind , and keep up; I'm about to pick up the pace," the Tiger King bellowed, sheathing his sword and charging forward. Tiger Girl quickly went to Lan Xue's aid.
Ghost Hand massaged his numb arm. Just blocking a single strike had left his whole arm feeling sore and swollen, filling him with dread. "How powerful is this guy?" he wondered. Seeing Luo Zheng approaching, he quickly called out, "Brother, what kind of monster did you unleash? I was nearly chopped to death by that blow. If I hadn't shouted in ti, I'd be a corpse now."
"After being pent up for over thirty years, of course he would want to have a spree once he got out. Just understand it, he's the Tiger King, a peerless demon. You should take pride in having escaped with your life under the Strongest Soldier King's watch. What about the ammo dump?" Luo Zheng responded irritably.
"It's sorted, but we couldn't contact you. We set it for ten minutes and were on our way back to find you when we bumped into you," Ghost Hand said still shaken.
"Quick," Lan Xue shouted, standing up with Tiger Girl's assistance.
The two of them acknowledged and hurriedly caught up, only to discover the tunnel ahead littered with corpses, both black-robed n and ard militants. Everyone gathered up weapons and ammunition and hurried along, with Luo Zheng shouting, "Tiger Girl, hurry and catch up! Don't go the wrong way. We don't have much ti and need to leave this place as quickly as possible."
"Got it," Tiger Girl promptly replied, taking the lead and charging down the passageway. The bodies piled up more and more along the way, and it wasn't long before they caught up with the Tiger King, who was relentlessly pursuing the enemy. Those who were too slow were promptly cut down while the Tiger King continued his thunderous battle with no signs of fatigue.
Upon witnessing this scene, everyone was struck dumb. In the face of absolute power, everything else seed insignificant. The black-robed n might have been formidable, but they ant nothing in the face of the Tiger King, skilled in the art of the blade. The narrow entrance to the cave worked against the deploynt of large forces and instead played into the Tiger King's hands.
Tiger Girl caught up and reminded the Tiger King of the route. Despite his bloodlust, he hadn't lost his sanity and he swiftly made his way upward at Tiger Girl's prompting. Luo Zheng and the others fell behind, constantly firing at ard militants erging from the side tunnels while retreating.
With the fierce Tiger King clearing the way and Luo Zheng and the others covering the rear, and led by Tiger Girl, who knew the terrain, they charged forward, unstoppable, their pace rapid. Luo Zheng emptied his magazine in one go, and seeing a headless corpse on the ground with a weapon, he discarded his own gun, picked up the firearm from the corpse, and continued firing at the pursuing enemies.
With too many side tunnels all around and enemies liable to surge out at any mont, the group stayed alert, following the Tiger King as he charged and fought fiercely. Ard with just a knife, the Tiger King carved a path drenched in blood. Not to be outdone, the rest relied on their precise shooting skills to take down any militants attempting to rush them.
They fought their way through, not knowing how many people they had killed. Everyone saw the clear light of the exit ahead and knew they were about to erge; their spirits lifted dramatically. Luo Zheng shouted, "I'll cover our rear, you all follow Tiger King out first. Be cautious of enemies outside, and pay attention to covering fire."
"Understood," Ghost Hand and Lan Xue responded. No matter how strong a knife is, it will be at a disadvantage against guns firing from a distance. Luo Zheng was worried about Tiger King running into trouble and reminded them quietly. Ghost Hand and Lan Xue, who understood the situation, quickly followed suit.
"Swoosh—" Tiger King, caught up in the heat of battle, saw the exit above and leapt directly out of the tunnel. Looking at the vast desert and the pristine moonlight with no enemies in sight, he couldn't contain his joy and let out a wild howl. He had finally escaped to freedom, finally made it out after more than thirty years, and in his excitent, tears of a tiger stread down.
Tiger King took a deep breath, greedily taking in the moonlight and the surroundings, unshaken by the desert, his face filled with excitent. Who could understand the emotions of a man imprisoned in a pit for over thirty years? Who could understand the feelings of soone deprived of freedom for over thirty years? Who could understand the heartache of being away from ho for over thirty years?
Lan Xue and Ghost Hand crawled out from underground and glanced at Tiger King, who was alternating between crying and laughing. They were a bit stunned but quickly checked their surroundings and found no enemy presence, allowing them to breathe a sigh of relief. Lan Xue shouted into her headset, "Mountain Eagle, Snow Leopard, report the situation."
"All clear around us, proceed with the planned evacuation," Mountain Eagle's voice ca through the headset.
"Run fast!" Luo Zheng climbed out of the tunnel and pulled Tiger King to hurry on, not understanding why, but seeing Luo Zheng and the others' tense expressions, he guessed sothing was up and didn't ask further. Seeing Tiger Girl catching up, he felt relieved and joined everyone in a mad sprint.
"Dada Dada!" As Luo Zheng ran, he fired behind him, gunning down any enemies trying to chase them and escape the tunnel, while shouting into the headset, "Mountain Eagle, Snow Leopard, use incendiary bombs, we must keep these bastards underground, don't let them co out. Expect an explosion in three minutes."
"Understood," Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard quickly replied. Though Snow Leopard wasn't a sniper, that didn't an he couldn't use a sniper rifle. Close-range shooting didn't require much precision, which posed no difficulty for Snow Leopard.
"Whizz Whizz Whizz!" Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard took action; their incendiary bombs landed accurately on the people crawling out, setting them on fire and sending them tumbling down. The terrifying flammable agent ignited even more people, terrifying the rest into hiding, and none dared to co out any longer.
"A three-minute explosion? What's going on? Did you set up a tid bomb?" Tiger King asked excitedly.
"Yes, those two took care of it. It's in the ammunition depot. I was in charge of rescuing you," Luo Zheng said with a smile.
"Good, blow those bastards to hell, and best to level this place to the ground," Tiger King said fiercely, his face aglow with excitent. He showed no signs of fatigue from the relentless combat and ran as if he were an imposing old tiger, full of authority and awe-inspiring.
