Celeste Linden slumped on the bed, feeling lost and shocked at the news of her pregnancy despite Ethan Barnes having had a vasectomy.
He doesn’t like children, especially ones born from her, which is why he had the procedure; he would only accept children from Carlotta.
If she told him about the pregnancy, he’d surely ask her to terminate it.

Celeste Linden stepped out of the room to look for Ethan Barnes.
But she couldn’t find him because Ethan had gone out for work; he recently spent all his ti with Carlotta, and now that Carlotta is doing better, he most certainly needs to attend to business matters.
Celeste Linden planned to talk to him once he returned.
Then she saw Carlotta, who was together with an elderly maid, Aunt Weaver, doing so needlework.
Celeste Linden walked over, "Carlotta, what are you doing?"
Carlotta was holding a needle and thread, working on a small shoe, "Cousin, you’ve co, I’m helping Aunt Weaver prepare so baby items because Aunt Weaver’s going to have a grandchild."
Aunt Weaver praised Carlotta endlessly, "Miss Carlotta is as kind as she is beautiful; I must thank Miss Carlotta on behalf of my son and daughter-in-law."
Carlotta sweetly replied, "Aunt Weaver, don’t ntion it, I often do needlework."
Celeste Linden glanced at Carlotta’s needlework; it was quite good—she had already knitted a small red glove.
The tiny glove looked soft and cute.
Celeste Linden’s heart was suddenly touched, and she instinctively reached out to touch her still-flat stomach.
Just then, a Jeep roared in and parked on the lawn as Ethan Barnes returned with his n.
Carlotta’s eyes lit up, and she imdiately ran to greet him, "Ethan, you’re back?"
Ethan embraced Carlotta and fondly ruffled her long hair, "What, you missed ?"
"Ethan, you’re so annoying, there are others watching~" Carlotta said shyly.
Ethan held Carlotta’s slender waist and walked over, "What have you been busy with today?"
Carlotta imdiately showed him the little glove and shoe she had made, "Ethan, look, I prepared these for Aunt Weaver’s grandson."
Aunt Weaver chuckled, "Master, I see Miss Carlotta really likes baby items, and I think Miss Carlotta must like children. How about letting Master and Miss Carlotta have a child while they’re still young?"

Carlotta’s small face flushed red, and she shyly looked at Ethan.
She loves children; every woman dreams of having a love child with the man she loves, and she’s no exception. However, she doesn’t know Ethan’s thoughts since she’s only recently returned, and he hasn’t proposed or married her yet.
Ethan subtly furrowed his brows and looked at Carlotta, "Carlotta, do you like children?"
Carlotta nodded forcefully, "Yes, I do."
"But I’ve had a vasectomy."

Carlotta stiffened, "Ethan, why did you get a vasectomy? Without it, we can’t have a baby."
"Carlotta, all these years I believed you were gone, and I only wanted a child if it was yours. If it wasn’t yours, I didn’t want it, so I had a vasectomy."
Moved, Carlotta’s eyes reddened, and she imdiately hugged Ethan’s strong waist tightly, "Ethan, you’re so silly, if I were gone, would you really choose no children at all? You’re such a fool~"
Ethan kissed Carlotta’s hair.
Carlotta looked up at him, "n can undergo a second surgery for a vasectomy, to regain fertility. Ethan, I... I want to have your child."

Ethan turned and noticed Celeste Linden; she was also there.

Celeste Linden was terrified he’d discover anything, so she quickly said, "Cousin, has my ticket been booked? I really miss my family in the countryside. I want to leave as soon as possible, is that alright?"
It’s been quite a while, yet he hasn’t ntioned allowing her departure. Seeing no other option, Celeste Linden had to ask him again in front of Carlotta.
Then Carlotta walked over, "Ethan, since our cousin misses ho so much, why don’t you let her go back soon?"
Ethan didn’t look at Carlotta, instead focusing on Celeste Linden, opening his lips slightly, "Recently, tickets have been hard to get; stay here for a while longer."
Celeste Linden’s heart sank—he wouldn’t allow her to leave?
"Cousin, I..." She tried to plead further.
But Ethan gave her no chance to speak, "I’ve got so things to handle, I’ll head inside first, you all enjoy yourselves." With that, he briskly entered.

Carlotta saw Celeste Linden’s pale face, "Cousin, why don’t you stay here for a while longer?"
"Carlotta, all my family is in the countryside, they’re old now, and no one’s there to help them. I really can’t put my mind at ease; could you please talk to Ethan for , so I can leave as soon as possible?" Celeste Linden looked at Carlotta pleadingly.
