Ethan Barnes sat in the office chair, and standing in front of him was a doctor.
The doctor placed the bracelet Celeste Linden had used to bribe him on the desk, reporting respectfully, "King Hayden, this is what Miss Linden gave ."
Ethan looked at the bracelet. Everyone here, including the doctor, was under his control and surveillance. There were no secrets.
Celeste Linden had dared to bribe his doctor right under his nose. Ethan had known about this imdiately but hadn’t exposed her because he wanted to see what she was up to.
"What did she ask from you?"
"Your Majesty, Miss Linden asked for a pregnancy test stick."

These three words made Ethan frown. "Is she pregnant?"
"I’m not sure. She seed to be testing if she is pregnant."
Just then, the study door was pushed open, and a maid entered with a pregnancy test showing two red lines. "Master, this was found in Miss Linden’s room trash bin."
The doctor glanced at the pregnancy test. "King Hayden, two red lines—looks like Miss Linden is indeed pregnant."
She was actually pregnant.
He had undergone a vasectomy, and yet she was pregnant?
If it weren’t for the fact that she had been confined here with only him around, he would’ve doubted if the child was his.
"I’ve had a vasectomy. What’s the chance of pregnancy?" Ethan asked.
The doctor replied, "King Hayden, vasectomy isn’t 100% fail-proof. Pregnancy involves fate. For so, the prevention rate is 100%, but for others, it’s zero—if it’s ant to happen, it will."
Ethan pursed his thin lips. He had never liked children. Carlotta had just suggested he undergo surgery, but he found it troubleso. He didn’t want kids.
However, Celeste Linden was pregnant, which was beyond his expectation and plan.
"King Hayden, how do you plan to deal with this child? Miss Linden is still in the early months, so aborting it at this ti is still easy, and it would spare her pain," the doctor said.

Celeste imdiately looked up and saw Ethan Barnes at the door. He had co to her room again.
Her small hand was still on her flat belly, unable to retract in ti. Ethan stood by the door, squinting his slender eyes, quietly watching her touch her belly.
Celeste quickly stood up, warily watching Ethan. "What are you doing here again? Ethan, aren’t you afraid of being discovered by your Carlotta coming in and out of my room so frequently?"
Ethan closed the door without speaking, just looking at her quietly.

Soone in his position not speaking gives off a deep and profound feeling, with his gaze on her face, as if he could see through all her thoughts and secrets.
Celeste had always lived frankly, unafraid of what he might find, but now it was different. She was pregnant and wanted to hide it.
She felt slightly guilty, "Why are you looking at ?"
Ethan curled his thin lips. "Celeste Linden, are you hiding sothing from ? I’m giving you one chance to speak up."

Celeste felt a flicker of panic but knew she couldn’t tell him. She understood that if she did, it would an certain doom. He would order the child to be aborted.
"No, I haven’t hidden anything from you, nor would I dare."
Ethan curled his lips dangerously, sneering, "You wouldn’t dare? If soone else said that, I’d believe it, but when you say it, I don’t. Is there anything in this world you, Celeste Linden, wouldn’t dare to do?"
She was indeed daring, both five years ago and now.
Everyone else succumbed to his power, except her; she never did.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about, and you don’t need to trick like this. I believe I haven’t done anything, and if you want to accuse of an unfounded cri, I have nothing to say." Celeste stood up straight, retorting.
Ethan almost wanted to applaud her. "Celeste Linden, you can now lie without turning red or short of breath? Your skills are really growing."
He said, striding toward her, his gaze fixed on her flat belly. "What are you hiding in your belly? Do I need to remind you?"
Celeste’s heart sank. Did he know she was pregnant?
It couldn’t be. Had that doctor betrayed her?

Ethan reached out and grabbed her small face, his expression dark. "The doctor is mine. Just how foolish do you have to be to think bribing my man with a bracelet would work?"
Celeste’s face paled. She realized he truly knew.
That doctor was his. How did she not think of that?
But she had no options left.
She was trapped here with nowhere to turn to for help. She felt utterly helpless.
"Celeste Linden, are you pregnant? Who allowed you to get pregnant, damn it? Do you still want to have this child?"
Celeste glared coldly at him. "How I got pregnant, who made pregnant, no one knows better than you. When I first found out I was pregnant with your child, my first thought was to abort it. I didn’t want to have your baby at all!"
