"A humanoid familiar?" Evelyn was dumbfounded. She thought Nathan couldn’t summon a humanoid familiar.
"That’s your problem?" Nathan smiled wryly. "He is a shapeshifter like Mae. Anyway, will you accept the gift or not?"
Evelyn was having a hard ti swallowing all the information. After carefully considering everything, she asked for confirmation. "Are you sure about this? You have done enough to help ..."
Xolotl squinted his eyes. "You are correct. Judging from your progress, it looks like you will have so success. You will probably succeed in three to five years even without my help."
Nathan smiled wryly because Xolotl’s confirmation wasn’t helping him at all. Still, Xolotl was impressed that Evelyn was able to reach this stage without the help of soone at his level.
"Yes, I’m sure. And I am 100% sure that you need to harmonize your elents as quickly as possible. If you are not able to do it, defeating the Death Society is just a pipe dream.
"Their leader might not be the strongest in the world, but he is still among the top three. It’s not the level of Garam Haygaiden anymore. Even with the fusion of your elents, I still don’t think it will be enough."
Evelyn couldn’t deny it. After learning everything here, she knew that her strength was far from enough. She could probably have a chance to kill their leader if she harmonized the elents.
That was why she was doing her best to harmonize them whenever she had ti, but if Xolotl was correct, it would take too long.
She had to respect Nathan’s decision as well, so the ti limit of this expedition was one year.
It looked like she truly had to accept the gift. And it didn’t feel as bad anymore because she could give sothing in return.
She grabbed the vial and politely nodded her head. "Thank you, Nathan."
"You’re welco. How about trying it right away? We can celebrate later after you succeed."
Evelyn pondered before agreeing with his assessnt. "I understand. What am I supposed to do?"
Nathan nodded to Xolotl and let him take over.
Xolotl waved his finger. "Turn around and sit down properly."
Evelyn followed his instructions. Xolotl then placed his hand on top of her head. "Drink that dicine. Then, close your eyes and start feeling the ena circulating in your body."
Gulp!
Evelyn swallowed it in one go and instantly felt the effect. The ena stopped moving in her body. This would make it easier for her to control her ena.
"First, we have to summon your two familiars, the ones giving you elents. One at a ti. We have to fix their broken fragnts first."
"Fragnts?"
"Just follow him." Nathan added. "I will explain the rest later."
Evelyn nodded. The first one she summoned was the skeleton that had the power of gravity.
"Both you and your familiars should focus on the summoning link that is attached to the core of the ena in your body. You have to sense it as deeply as you can. You will definitely find a kind of net."
"I do." Evelyn answered right away as if it wasn’t hard for her to sense it. "It’s indeed similar to a net. This is the first ti I’ve seen it, but it’s not hard."
"Good. Now, you need to gather all the connections to a single point."
To Xolotl’s surprise, the one who did all the work was not her familiar. It was Evelyn herself.
It happened in an instant. She noticed the movent of ena in her body, and it was done. The fragnt was repaired.
"I’m done. This is... Isn’t this the sa fragnt as the one in my familiar?"
"So fast?" Xolotl certainly didn’t expect this speed. Nathan was even more surprised with Xolotl’s reaction than Evelyn’s control. Xolotl was supposed to have seen a lot of things, so nothing should surprise him anymore.
Yet, Evelyn’s speed surpassed his expectations.
Xolotl regained his composure right after. He continued, "Anyway, now that you have repaired the fragnt, you will surely be able to sense sothing that is not from within."
Evelyn concentrated further. Unlike Nathan, Evelyn was a genius in micro control. Everything micro about ena was sothing she could easily sense.
Now that the broken fragnt had been repaired, she could sense what Xolotl was talking about. "It is indeed sothing different. There are ena and elent, but there is a third thing... Sothing similar to my familiar, but... I can’t describe what it is..."
"That is the brand of your familiar. Usually, you don’t have to do this process, but because you acquire your elents from your familiars, it ans the elents are still theirs. You have to erase that brand and make the elent your own.
"It won’t pose any problems if you only have one, but even if you can harmonize your elents without doing this, the brand will fight against another brand. You can say that the brands will fight over the possession of the new elent.
"Hence, you have to erase it fully and make the elents your own. Right now, you should be able to sense that the ena and the elents are mixed. To separate them, you have to control your ena to beco a channel for the elent to go through.
"Imagine the ena as a blood vessel and the elents as your blood. The brand is an unknown virus trying to attack the blood."
Evelyn could do such a thing smoothly. It didn’t even take longer than five minutes to complete the task. Even Xolotl was impressed by her talent.
Xolotl shifted his gaze to Nathan and used the link to send his words to his mind. ’Marry her!’
’W-What? What did you just say?’ Nathan didn’t expect Xolotl to suddenly say such things.
’Her talent is one of the greatest I have seen so far. If her talent can bloom to its full potential, she should have no problem in becoming a god like , surpassing the other divine beasts you have right now.’
