"Well, I might take your offer for that." Nathan smiled. If he didn’t take this offer, Regina and the empire wouldn’t feel relieved.
So, Nathan thought about one thing that would be beneficial for both of them.
"I would like you to take care of the Eleren family. Investigate them cleanly, but in good faith. If they are involved, you can put them behind bars. However, I’d like to request that you not involve unrelated people. I have discussed this with Luna. Due to the current condition of Leon Eleren, it is only right for her to make the decision for the family."
Regina understood Nathan’s intention. He didn’t want the Eleren family to be removed entirely.
However, it couldn’t go unpunished either.
Regina recalled that Luna wanted to save her brother. Since it was Luna’s request, she couldn’t help but ask for confirmation. "How about Leon Eleren? Do you want us to punish him as well?"
Nathan paused for a mont. "About that. I’m sure you understand the current condition of Leon Eleren, right?"
"Indeed." Regina nodded. Henry had told her about it. Since it was a sensitive matter, he let the mbers of the imperial family handle it directly.
"Due to his condition, we will need to help him recover from his previous condition first."
"Do you want us to create a unit to take care of his recovery?"
"No. A normal thod won’t be enough to do it, so I’ll handle it myself."
Regina looked down, contemplating. The way Nathan worded it made it look like he wanted to bring Leon Eleren to his continent.
Since they were talking about Luna, there was no way Leon Eleren would be able to cause a ruckus anymore.
So, it should be fine to leave it to Nathan.
Still, Leon Eleren was a criminal for aiding the Death Society. However, it was true that he wasn’t in the right mind. Whether he was brainwashed or controlled, he was still a culprit.
However, Nathan had saved this continent. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if the Godfather attacked the empire or the dynasty.
In addition, they owed Nathan an explanation.
So Regina agreed. "All right. I will personally head up the investigation."
"I feel relieved." Nathan smiled, satisfied with the arrangent. "So, how do you plan to handle this matter?"
"That’s a very troubling question." Regina crossed her arms. "To be honest, I really don’t know how to handle it. We’ve sent the ssage back to the imperial palace, but after witnessing that power..."
She shook her head helplessly. Without Nathan, they would really be in trouble.
"Well, the main problem right now is the black cell. After knowing its agent has been defeated, I’m afraid the black cell will send more aliens to fight us."
"Yeah. But thanks to the annihilation of the Death Society, we can focus ourselves on the front line. I believe the dynasty will be inclined to agree. And your magic gun will be useful in that instance."
Nathan nodded. He didn’t plan to involve himself any further with this continent’s politics, so he stopped after knowing they would be fine after this.
"Rather, I never thought that soone who ca from another continent would beco this strong. Before I got pulled into this matter, I would have dedicated my life to the army, ensuring that people could live well.
"But you opened my eyes." Regina looked at the sky. "There are even more dangerous things waiting for us. I won’t be there with you, but I wish you luck."
Nathan looked at the sky as well. After being dispersed by the battle earlier, the dark cloud gradually closed the sky again. It felt like this battle against the Godfather had opened the sky for him, but the black cell would be like the ash clouds in the sky, trying to close the gap again.
There would be a lot of ordeals in front of him. It might be an even more terrifying challenge.
"Nathan," Regina called him.
"Yeah?" Nathan turned his head back to Regina, only to be taken by surprise attack.
Regina placed her hands on his cheeks, making him unable to turn his face. Then, she ca closer and planted her lips on his.
"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes in shock.
Regina slowly stepped back with a smile on her face.
"What are you..." Nathan didn’t expect Regina would have done such a thing, especially as soone from the imperial family.
She could still rember what Nathan had said to reject her back then. There was no chance for her to leave the empire. She couldn’t prioritize love over her country.
That was why they could never be together.
However, it didn’t change the fact that Nathan was once in her heart.
It was for a brief mont, but she was glad to experience it all.
"I can’t co with you, but I want to thank you for entering my life. It’s a bit embarrassing to say this, but..." Regina smiled. "...I’m really glad that I know you. I won’t see you off, but I wish you luck for your return trip as well as your next journey."
"..." Nathan was stunned. For so reason, there wasn’t a single word coming into his brain.
At the sa ti, Regina didn’t give him a chance either. Embarrassed, she hurriedly turned around and ran away. "Anyway, goodbye!"
Nathan placed his hand on his lips before scratching the back of his head, not knowing what to say or what to do.
But it looked like he didn’t have to worry about it, as there was soone who could bring back all kinds of words into his mind.
"Sounds like you had fun."
"!!!" Nathan turned around, panicked. "Evelyn?"
There was no change in Evelyn’s face, so it didn’t look like she was angry.
"You don’t have to explain it to ." Evelyn shook her head. "I’m here to thank you for allowing us to have our revenge. However, that can wait for later. I’m here to claim my prize."
"Prize?" He didn’t think he had promised her a prize or anything.
However, Evelyn reminded him of one thing. "We only have one promise."
Nathan widened his eyes. Even though they had beco a couple, they promised each other that they would do nothing before they could defeat the Death Society. It was more like a reward for him than for her.
But after seeing Regina’s actions, Nathan realized what was actually going on. He smirked. She was definitely not angry. "Wait. Are you jealous?"
