"Scummy priest, you say? We still have a paladin and a holy knight. Are you trying to undermine them? You demon!"
"Well, well. Let’s stop for now, Eric. Right now, the one in front of you is not a demon but a familiar who is advising his master." Raigor hurriedly stood in front of Eric, trying to stop him from making a ruckus.
As soone who had been taught how a demon was bad and listening to them would make one suffer, it was a hard pill to swallow.
However, Asmodeus calmly explained, "Heh. It’s good that this little lantern can see things more calmly.
"In any case, this little lantern should focus on commanding other lanterns. At the very least, he should be more experienced in that area compared to you, my lady."
"Mmhhmmfffmh? (How dare you belittle your own summoner!)" Eric wanted to speak, but Raigor had already covered his mouth.
"That sounds good enough." Sera nodded. "Paladin Raigor and Holy Knight Estes will take care of the remaining summoners, along with their foot soldiers. We don’t know their exact number, so expect them to outnumber us."
"Understood." Raigor nodded.
"In that case, let’s take care of this place first and imdiately head straight to the orphanage."
"Don’t worry about it, saintess. We have a separate group that will take care of them." Raigor assured her. "We can head directly to the orphanage."
"There are still two summoners among them."
"Yes. We have prepared the anti-ena cuff to prevent them from using ena or summoning familiars."
"Alright then." Sera turned to Noelle. "Get so armor first and we’ll head there."
"How about the area around the orphanage?"
"Don’t worry. The orphanage is on the outskirts of the city. Our people have evacuated the area."
Sera smiled. "Thank you. In that case, let’s move out."
Once Noelle put on the armor and Asmodeus masked her ena so that she looked like a normal Holy Knight, the group imdiately headed to the orphanage.
On the way, Noelle couldn’t help but ask, "To think that you have done everything by yourself…"
Raigor shook his head. "Well, the Sword Saint has taught us to think one or two steps ahead. What would they do? What will the preparations be? And handle it before they ask you to do it. Unless there’s an exact instruction, we will do it while prioritizing our own value.
"It’s just… sotis, you will have to et foolish leaders or maniacs. So having reasonable leaders such as yourself and Lady Saintess is sothing we definitely love."
"Fools and maniacs, huh? One will make unreasonable demands or even tell you to just shut up and follow his orders. anwhile, the other one might use citizens as a shield." Noelle squinted her eyes.
"Indeed." Raigor nodded. He paused for a mont before asking, "There’s sothing I’d like to ask, Lady Noelle."
"What is it?"
"You seem to trust that demon a little too much. Although I don’t necessarily hate the demons for no reason, especially since they’re clearly trying to help us without any price… Trusting a demon too much is not a good thing." Raigor glanced at Noelle.
"A demon, huh?" Noelle closed her eyes for a mont as the image of Nathan flashed in her mind. "There is a much more terrifying existence than a demon."

"No." Noelle shook her head. "Why do you think that demon follows her just like that?"
"A deal?"
"Well, you can probably say it like that. However, I’ve heard it myself." Noelle recalled the ti Asmodeus t Nathan for a lengthy talk.
Asmodeus was actually kneeling in front of Nathan. "If that is your wish, I shall abide by it. I, Asmodeus, shall support my lady, Serafina Dialanta, to the best of my ability.
"I’m not so foolish to not see how capable you are. Even if I use a trick or two, you can find it in one way or another. And making you feel displeased will give a lower chance to obtain your blood for my personal research.
"Hence, I will accept this deal. If it makes you feel assured, I will even work together with Lady Charlotte when researching your blood. This way, she can supervise everything."
Asmodeus recognized Nathan’s superiority. The mont he played a trick, Nathan would be displeased and might even do anything to destroy him. Even Serafina wouldn’t really say anything if Asmodeus died in Nathan’s hand. In the end, she could replace him with soone else, especially with Nathan’s knowledge.
That was why Asmodeus understood his place. Instead of playing a trick, Asmodeus directly had a deal with Nathan. He couldn’t trap Nathan in this deal either.
This was Nathan’s way of dealing with the disadvantages of having Asmodeus.
With this deal, Asmodeus would truly beco a fearso familiar without any drawback, which would help Sera a lot. He thought about this solution after Sera said she wanted to summon an archangel so that they could split their group into two.
So, when he wasn’t there, Asmodeus could turn into an adviser for the second group.
And to do that, Nathan had to show his brilliance first to make Asmodeus realize he wasn’t soone to be trifled with. That was why it took this long before he got Asmodeus’ cooperation.
Of course, Nathan couldn’t restrict Asmodeus’ desire too much. If he even prevented him from saying anything to other familiars or putting down that ambition of his, Asmodeus would go on a rampage. Besides, he was a sin of desire, so restricting that desire would be the sa as taking away his original existence.
Noelle couldn’t help but feel astonished. Even a demon who was so hard to deal with willingly accepted a deal from him.
Raigor simply couldn’t believe it. "There is soone who can control a demon? And one of the original sins on top of that?"
Noelle shrugged. "You can believe it or not. It’s your choice. Though, this saint might do sothing foolish like attacking him or sothing."
"Well, he is not that foolish. He is actually a capable person. It’s just that the doctrine is quite strong since, unlike us, holy knights, the saints and saintesses are learning the theories more than practical aspects. However, Saint Eric is quite strong himself, so he’s definitely reliable."
